Stamptown, one of the premier brands of international comedy, is back in LA once more to present the prestige acts at places like Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Whether they’re yanks or from across a pond (or a giant pond), it’s a mind-bending variety night of comedy that has some of the best boundary pushing comedians around (Natalie Palamides, BriTANick, Courtney Pauroso, and, of course, hosts Zach [Zucker] & Viggo [Venn]).

Tickets are only $15 for Stamptown Comedy later this month on Fri. Jan. 17th. Go get ‘em before they sell out here.

Not only is Pop-Up Magazine a super neat concept that combines so many creative disciplines into one amazing live show, this will be a chance for you to see both the absolutely hysterical Catherine Cohen and Jo Firestone in LA.

So, you get both of them, which could be a great bill on its own, plus a live score and so much more. If this sounds pretty swell to you, tickets are $39-$49 (but you can knock off $5 w/code LIVESTORIES). Go get those tickets here.

It has been quite some time since the comedy variety extravaganza presented as a portion of an Indian Wedding got to take place, but the hosts played by Amritha Kaur & Neal Dandade are finally both back as Pinky and Neel to present a truly special evening of comedy, dance, storytelling, music, and more (as well as a chance to get a bit of an experience of what you might be missing at an Indian wedding).

Tickets are $12 right now and you really ought to get them here.

It truly has been an honor to get to be a part of Speedface (we’ve been helping produce it for a couple of years along with the show’s creator, the great Eric Moneypenny), one of the most insane shows in and around LA and while it is sad to know that its swan song is this Sunday, we’re thrilled by the idea that it’s going to be one truly hysterical, out-of-this-world, headbangin’ swan song comprised of bonkers 100 second comedy bits presided over by timelord Dr. Timef**k (Nick Gligor) and his time slave, the titular Speedface (John Paliferro).

For this show, our line-up thus far is:
Leroy Patterson (America’s Got Talent)
Dave Ross (Comedy Central)
Ed Larson (Murderfist, Last Podcast Network)
Sarah Squirm (Adult Swim)
James Austin Johnson (Hail, Caesar!, Better Call Saul)
Isaac Kessler (Canadian Comedy Award winner)
Erin Nicole Bounds (Detention)
Dominique Johnson (Haymaker)
Samantha Jane, Kaeli Quick & Jason Kaye
Leeann St. John & Christopher Corbin
Evan Watkins (Rabble Rabble, College Humor, Hell Kross)
Elizabeth Hayhurst (Haymaker)
J. Elijah Cho (AMC’s Halt & Catch Fire, Some Sort of Show)
Michael Skarsten (Dreamboat) & Nick Pupo (Gutter)
Nicky Urban (Femmebot PHD)
Catherine Durickas (Rabble Rabble)
Grady James Welch (Hell Kross)
Elyssa Phillips & Angela McLafferty (Tantrum)
Katie Molinaro (Haymaker, Nickelodeon)
a special appearance by Royce Shockley (The Color Collective)
AND MORE! AND SUPER SURPRISE CELEBRITY GUESTS!

Really, we’ve got a lot up our sleeve (even more so than Home-Improvement-ized version of Doom in the flyer suggests).

It’s a little earlier than normal at 9:30PM, so all of you who thought our normal start time on Sunday was too late are now obligated to come! It’s still pay what you can FYI. Get more details, RSVP, etc. here.

Sarah Squirm and her Helltrap Nightmare gang (Scott Egleston, The Shrimp Boys-Luke Taylor, Wyatt Fair and David Brown) has charmed us for a number of years now (so much that she has made our 100 Best List in 2017 and 2018).

Her mastery of blending the grotesque and the comedic is something to behold (and so damn funny). Helltrap Nightmare became and stayed a cornerstone show for comedy that was “out there” in Chicago as you can read in a lovely farewell piece in the Chicago Tribune.

So, we’re thrilled to her that she’s making the move to LA and bringing all of Helltrap Nightmare with her, starting with a date at Dynasty Typewriter. Please go get your tickets now for $10 before they kick up to $15 on the day of.

At one of LA’s hippest venues Zebulon, performance artist/comedian Dynasty Handbag has been curating a hosting one of their, in our opinion, marquee nights with Weirdo Night! for two years (though it has been running a bit longer than that around town).

This transformative and hilarious evening collects all sorts of performers that are in or adjacent to comedy, bringing in a wonderfully bizarre collection of multi-disciplinary performers, magical musicians, and all other artists that defy categorization in a great way.

For their 2 Yr. Zebulon Anniversary this Sunday, they’ve got a line-up of Kate Berlant, Malik Gaines, Amelia Bande, Charles Galin, and, of course, Dynasty Handbag (Jibz Cameron).

Tickets are $15 and you can go get them right now right here.

So, this was supposed to happen at the end of October, but, as you can see from our staff page, we’re a little overworked. Thus, it took awhile to celebrate being LA’s best resource for comedy.

Anyways, we hope you come down to Echoes on Pico and enjoy our favorites from every corner of comedy as well as our very own Jake Kroeger. Tickets are only $10 for this gala worthy show. Go get ‘em here.

The extreme friendship comedy troupe identified as Power Violence (AKA Whitmer Thomas, Clay Tatum, and Budd Diaz) will be putting on their very last show as a group next Sunday at The Satellite (as well as celebrating their 8th anniversary).

While we’re all waiting for their silly comedy swan song to arrive, take time to reflect on Power Violence’s journey from moshing and TPing the stage over at The Complex to open every show to making some of the best, unabashedly fun videos around to becoming the power (pun intended?) comedy trio they are now.

The full line-up has yet to be announced, but we hear it’s pretty damn special.

Tickets is $8, but, as always, comedians get in free at this show. Get the tickets here.

Presented by UCB co-founder Matt Walsh, Dodo’s Retirement Party will be a variety show as well as a tribute to “Dolores (Dodo) Portencasso” as she retires from “Corn Products”. Oh yeah, the line-up just happens to be, as we mentioned before, pretty damn stacked (see flyer above).

If you also want to see comedy in addition to that, there are actually a few options for you including:

One of LA’s best variety shows Scot Nery’s Boobie Trap w/special guest host Justin Willman @ King King 8PM, $17 in adv./$25 at door
