Reservation Dogs Season 3 Trailer Promises More of What Everyone Loves About Reservation Dogs

July 6, 2023
News
fx, reservation dogs, season 3, sterlin harjo, taika waititi, trailer

Finally, in less than a month, Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi are returning with the third season of Reservation Dogs starting Wed. Aug. 2nd. This latest round of their critically acclaimed and award winning FX series follows the eponymous Reservation Dogs finding themselves yet again, though, back at where their started (not to tip the hat to those who haven’t binged their way through the first two seasons already).

From the looks of this first official trailer for this latest season, more of the magically real, offbeat indigenous humor and captivating pathos are on display, so much so that it might actually make up for the bad taste that Taika’s latest Thor movie has left in our mouths.

See for yourself with a first full length at season 3 here and try and see if there’s something to FX focusing on the name “Bear”. Again, look for this latest season of Reservation Dogs to get going on Aug. 2nd.

I Think You Should Leave Season 3 Promises More Delightful Chaos from Tim Robinson (Trailer)

May 24, 2023
News
i think you should leave, netflix, season 3, tim robinson, trailer

We don’t want to speak for everyone, but, as far as most of the folks we know, Tim Robinson screaming and writhing wildly is kind of a panacea for the ever burgeoning chaos of our times. The first two seasons of I Think You Should Leave have left an indelible mark in culture as well as comedy history (especially if you look at the timeline of sketch comedy leading up to now).

With that said, there is only so many times we can watch Coffin Flops or Dan Flashes on repeat before we need a new season of I Think You Should Leave. Lucky for all of humanity that season 3 is right around the corner, a week away in fact with a premiere date of Tues. May 30th. Netflix announced the date and released the first official trailer for this latest season and it has plenty of Tim and company losing it (especially while in a car) to the nth degree.

Please enjoy it here and know that you’ll only have to wait a week to watch the latest season.

Get Your First Look at Season 3 of The Righteous Gemstones

News
adam devine, danny mcbride, edi patterson, john goodman, righteous gemstones, season 3, trailer

The Gemstones, your favorite corrupt televangelist family is back, from just over a month now. After the series premiered right before the pandemic, then taking almost three years off, we have a new season right around the corner on Sun. Jun. 18th.

As with anything where McBride is at the helm, you got to know that the stakes are going to be raised and raised really quick. From the looks of the first official trailer for season 3 of The Righteous Gemstones, Jesse Gemstone is about to get himself in a whole heap of trouble by racing a stock car (probably with almost no experience whatsoever) just to settle a dispute and there is a Steve Zahn-led-assault-rifle-toting Christian militia afoot.

Also, it’s intriguing to note that season 3 will be premiering on Max (formerly known as HBO Max), which we’re “sure” won’t lead to any more brand confusion between what counts as HBO or not.

Take a gander at what the Gemstones are getting into this time right here.

I Think You Should (Remember May 30th Before You) Leave

— Netflix Is A Joke (@NetflixIsAJoke) March 10, 2023

Almost without argument, the two seasons of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson represent some of the best sketch comedy of the past decade and, very likely, this century. Robinson’s unhinged characters, all seeming to build towards and very much past a boiling point, living up to the title of the show, are almost a perfect panacea to the very real chaos that we’ve been living through since the show premiered on Netflix in 2019.

It’s a great reminder that there is sketch comedy television these days outside of SNL, especially when a mind like Tim Robinson’s gets to run wild.

So, with that said, you very much should set several reminders that Tues. May 30th (i.e. midnight on Monday) will be when you should start binging season 3 of the critically acclaimed, award winning, abjectly absurdist sketch series I Think You Should Leave.

Party Down’s Season 3 Trailer Is Here

January 26, 2023
News
adam scott, ken marino, party down, season 3, starz, trailer

One of the most beloved cult comedies of all time, Party Down, is, after all these years, actually coming back. On Feb. 24th, Adam Scott will have to deal with folks annoyingly saying “ARE WE HAVING FUN YET?” while managing the misguided anxiety of Ken Marino and Party Down Catering. Also, the likes of Jennifer Garner, Tyrel Jackson Williams, Zoë Chao, and James Marsden will be in the mix for this long awaited season (in addition to a great cavalcade of cameos).

Hopefully, the existence of this trailer means that is indeed true and it won’t get un-renewed or something like other shows these days.

Season 3 of Party Down premieres on Starz on Fri. Feb. 24th.

Oh, you can catch up/rewatch the other two seasons of Party Down on Hulu right now.

Mythic Quest Follows Up Best Quarantine Ep. of TV with Their Most Ambitious Season Yet

October 11, 2022
News
apple tv, mythic quest, rob mcelhenney, season 3

It will probably go down in television history that Mythic Quest pulled off the best, most engaging episode of TV that was shot remotely due to COVID-19 lockdown. So many shows tried and missed the mark, but leave it to Rob McElhenney to figure that one out right before he inspired all of North Wales with gifting Wrexham a dream football team with Ryan Reynolds and make a whole other show about that.

Season 3 of Mythic Quest is just due out a month from now and, by the likes of the scale of this trailer, you’d have no idea that Rob was co-chairman of a Welsh football team. These upcoming episodes will see the original creators of the Mythic Quest game take on the company they left high and dry. Apparently, there’s a tank in this season?

See all of that for yourself here with the season 3 Mythic Quest trailer, then look for new episodes to begin streaming on Apple TV+ starting Fri. Nov. 11th.

Get Your First Look at Season 3 of Ramy

News
hulu, ramy, ramy youssef, season 3, trailer

It has been well over two years since we’ve last got to see Ramy explore the meaning of life and search for purpose from his modern day Muslim perspective in a dramedy-ish way in his critically acclaimed and eponymous series. Ramy himself has taken the stage plenty since then, when it was varying degrees of safer to do so. Hopefully, you got into one of those shows and that would have tided you over in awaiting the arrival of new episodes of Ramy, arguably one of the more daring series on TV without having to get into organized crime or warring fantasy lands.

Ramy and his whole TV family are back (along with Bella Hadid?), much like much of the world and it seems to be picking up, like so many of us, right where we left off in the beginning of 2020 with a crisis of belief, a forever fertile ground for comedy. See for yourself in this season 3 trailer here, then look for it to start streaming on Sept. 30th on Hulu.

You Can Watch Season 3 of Wellington Paranormal in the U.S. Starting 6/22 on The CW

News
season 3, the cw, wellington paranormal

This is just a friendly public service announcement to remind you that there is another side to the What We Do In the Shadows Universe that is coming stateside. More specifically, season 3 of Wellington Paranormal, the ridiculously hysterical spin-off that follows the Keystone Cops-y paranormal investigative unit for the New Zealand Police in Wellington, is coming to U.S. platforms.

On Wed. Jun. 22nd at 9PM, Wellington Paranormal season 3 will premiere on The CW (then probably stream on CW for free afterwards). Currently, you can stream seasons 1 and 2 on cwtv.com and, if you’re jonesin’ for anything remotely close to WWDS like we are, you’re going to want to get in on all three seasons over and over and over.

I Think You Should Leave Finally Renewed for Season 3

May 6, 2022
News
i think you should leave, netflix, season 3, tim robinson, zach kanin

(via Variety)

For much as Netflix’s stock has suffered in the recent weeks, it sure has taken them quite some time to renew one of their most beloved and acclaimed comedy series (and the absolute funniest sketch show on television right now, without a doubt). It had us worried, pondering why they would wait so long to give Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin a third season for what has become one of the most meme-able shows ever made.

The first two seasons of I Think You Should Leave were so brilliantly daft and hysterical that it made us wonder what Lorne Michaels kept shooting down while Robinson was at SNL for all those years. There is no release date or any other details for that matter (maybe they’ll get more than just a handful of episodes that you can binge in less than three hours?).

In any case, this announcement is as good a reason as any to go watch all of I Think You Should Leave again in case you haven’t already done that in the last week or two.

This Teaser Atlanta Season 3 Is Slightly Less Mysterious Than the Last One

December 28, 2021
News
atlanta, donald glover, fx, season 3

Part of the allure of Atlanta is never knowing quite what to expect. The very DNA of the show defies having any sort of formula or tone or main character and has made some of the best television this side of the millennium.

So, with a highly anticipated, long awaited season 3, we’re all beset with the conundrum of wanting any sort of details on what lies ahead for Paper Boi and Earn’s trip to Europe, but knowing full well that there’s way more to this season than a rising star rapper having their first European tour as shown with the very first teaser of this season.

All that said, here’s a bit less of a cryptic look at this season here. Oh yeah, the wait for new Atlanta will be over on Mar. 24th.

This Season 3 Teaser of Atlanta Is the First New Bit of Atlanta We’ve Seen in Years

November 1, 2021
News
atlanta, donald glover, fx, season 3, teaser

There are a lot of mysteries to the much lauded Donald Glover series Atlanta including the sort of schedule it goes by. Glover’s penchant for breaking form, shifting tone, refocusing characters, etc. are part of the electricity of the show and why it was immediately beloved by viewers and critics alike from season 1.

Parallel to that is the actual production and release of the show, which seems to be teased in passing by Glover or FX’s John Landgraf out of nowhere. Even then, we’re not exactly sure what or when to expect other than a somewhat quixotic journey through the hip hop world in Atlanta, GA.

That said, three years ago, the series teased the next season promising rapper Paper Boi the next level of his career with Earn in tow. The world has irreversibly changed since then and we can only imagine what Glover and company has cooked up to bring us season 3 of Atlanta during this side of the COVID-19 pandemic. The echoes of “it’s after the end of the world” hints at the show reckoning with what we’re all reckoning with.

See for yourself in the season 3 teaser here, then look for the season 3 premiere of Atlanta in 2022 (hopefully in the earlier part of it)

All We Have to Do Is Wait Until Fall for Joe Pera Talks With You Season 3

News
adult swim, joe pera, joe pera talks with you, jptwyst, season 3

Arguably more soothing than the Great British Baking Show, Joe Pera Talks With You, over two seasons, has managed a magical blend of gentleness and mischief. Pera’s soothing vice and the often pastoral locales that Joe is in for the show make for an irresistible small town charm, though Pera’s wry cleverness is very clearly woven throughout every fiber of his show.

So, as terrifying as both 2020 and 2021 have been, at the very least, there’s another round of Joe Pera Talks With You to bring us just some much needed moments of hilarious peace. Adult Swim announced that the third season will be airing this Fall just today. Hopefully, the world won’t be too flooded and/or on fire by then.

Get Your First Look at S3 of What We Do In The Shadows (as Nandor Tries VR)

News
first look, fx, season 3, teaser, what we do in the shadows

One of the most heralded comedies (that is so glaringly absent from the field of this year’s Emmy nominees on a technicality) in recent memory, What We Do In The Shadows is set to return very soon (though not soon enough if you ask us).

The master vampires of Staten Island return with their increasingly mysterious familiar Guillermo for their third season on Thurs. Sept. 2nd on FX (and next day on Hulu). That is indeed weeks away, but at least we have this very first teaser to look at (and just hope that there are more to come like there have been in the past two seasons).

Funny enough, this first look is also a first look for Nandor as he ventures to try a VR headset for the first time. Enjoy this as much as you can over the next month and change.

One of the wildest and darkest sitcoms on television, Black Monday, is set to return for its third season near the end of May as well as kick it into the 90s. Maurice and the rest of his ragtag stock market troublemakers are back together again (and so is all the chaos that follows them). They are spectacularly dressed in 90s style from head-to-toe though.

In fact, there’s never been a better time to see the absurdity of pure capitalism at work than now, which makes Black Monday kind of a perfect show for these times.

Get your first gander of Season 3 of Black Monday with the official trailer here, then look for the season 3 premiere on Sun. May 23rd 10PM on Showtime.

Master of None Season 3 Is Apparently Centered on Lena Waithe and Called “Moments in Love”

April 26, 2021
News
Lena waithe, master of none, naomi ackie, netflix, season 3

An entire four years will have passed since the arrival of season 2 of Master of None and this impending third. In that time, Aziz Ansari, co-creator and the show’s star (up until now) got embroiled in #MeToo controversy, released a very strategic response and apology in the form of his last stand-up special, and has opted to not be the center of the third season.

This teaser, just released today, just offers a bit of demystification to a recent announcement that new episodes of Master of None were coming soon and they were going to focus on a story co-written and co-starring Lena Waithe, who has played Denise in past seasons of the show. More specifically, this new batch would come under the banner of Master of None presents “Moments in Love”. From the teaser, we see that it follows a relationship, not unlike the very first season, between Lena and Naomi Ackie and all the moments, little and big, that comprise a deeply connected relationship in these times.

This is an undeniably unexpected turn for the show, but it’s also undeniably intriguing. There is a rise in lesbian love stories in the zeitgeist (Portrait of a Lady on Fire, The World to Come, Mythic Quest), but ones that involve two women of color are definitely not as present as their white or partially white counterparts. Aziz and Lena wrote this new Moments in Love portion of Master of None that will fill in said void. The deliciously cinematic showcase of such a rarely-seen-on-TV couple, especially with Lena’s award winning pen, is perhaps the right move for the show now that we’re in even deeper into a global reckoning than we were in 2017.

We shall see what Aziz and Lena hath wrought with all episodes of Master of None presents Moments In Love on May 23rd.

Dream Corp LLC Season 3 Reveals Sneak Peek

News

Outside of The Midnight Gospel, Dream Corp LLC is one of the trippiest comedies that has ever been created. That’s saying a lot considering a good deal of it is live action. The shenanigans of Dr. Roberts and co. are and have been mind-bending and so damn funny over their two seasons on Adult Swim.

Needless to say, a break from reality is one of the most valuable things while in quarantine with a nightmare bumbling on as POTUS. Season 3 of Dream Corp LLC is definitely going to serve up plenty of absurdity as a respite for whatever you’re specifically going through.

Get a taste of what that will be like with this sneak peek here, then look for the premiere of season 3 on Sun. Oct. 25th at 12:30AM, right after The Eric Andre Show.

Jake Weisman, Matt Ingebretson, and Pat Bishop‘s Corporate has been one of our favorite comedy series time and again over the last few years. We got a sneak peek of this third and final season and Corporate continues to hold up its torch of being one of the best and darkest workplace comedies on television these days.

Not only is it one of the most cinematic looking comedies on TV, but it’s unrelenting satire of all things that live and breathe corporate culture (even as the show is distributed under the umbrella of a media conglomerate corporation) has been thoroughly satisfying, especially if you’re comedy tastes skew to the dark side.

The final season is set to premiere at 10:30PM tonight on Comedy Central. However, you can sneak a preview by watching the wonderfully maniacal opening here.

Ramy Renewed for Season 3 at Hulu

July 10, 2020
News
hulu, ramy, ramy youssef, renewed, season 3

Over the past year, Hulu has done quite a bit to establish itself as a contender in the ever more saturated world of prestige TV. The Peabody and Golden Globe Award winning Ramy is one of the series that has raised the profile of their comedy programming slate to get into the conversation that HBO, Netflix, FX, and Amazon usually dominate.

Ramy Youssef has really given everyone a wholly unique look into the life of being a young Muslim in the 21st century in America and the multitude of nuance in, out, and around his world in the past two seasons.

So, with all of that in mind, Hulu is doing the sensible thing and ordering up a third season of Ramy. We do think that Youssef’s penchant for taking stories to unusual, sometimes uncomfortable places will probably result in doing an episode or some episodes about COVID-19 and we have no doubt that, if he does, it’ll very likely be something revelatory.

What We Do In The Shadows Renewed for Season 3 at FX

May 22, 2020
News
fx, renewed, season 3, what we do in the shadows

It has been decided. The vampires that rule over a block of two of Staten Island in What We Do In the Shadows on FX are beloved so much that they’re going to get a third season. Currently, they’re in the middle of a fantastic second season filled with so much exquisitely dark silliness.

Thus far, this might be one of the best movie-to-TV series adaptations in recent memory (maybe even further back) as the FX series has faithfully maintained the spirit of the original Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement movie and being able to stand on its own.

In any case, if you need a reason to continue to make it through these times, a third season of What We Do in The Shadows is a pretty damn good one (especially if they get to the origin story of Colin Robinson, energy vampire).

If you’ve enjoyed the super blue comedic brilliance of Big Mouth, you ought to know that you’re in store for some very explicit and magically real stories of puberty and coming of age.

The trailer for this upcoming season 3 of Big Mouth certainly makes good on that notion. On top of all of that though, it would seems that there’s a bit of a Queer Eye crossover that attempts Queer-eye-ing Coach Steve. Per usual, it’s going to be one hell of a season.

See for yourself in this latest Big Mouth trailer, then look for the series to drop on Oct. 4th.

By now, you ought to expect the unexpected with The Duplass Brothers’ HBO anthology series that bends genre, tone, etc. all in the confines of one room.

This upcoming third season should prove no different as you can see in the trailer. Also, you might dig that featured in the cast will be Arturo Castro, Paul F. Tompkins (perhaps a vintage one w/o facial hair), Sam Richardson (with an almost Detroiters-like moment), Luke Wilson, and Steve Little

If you’re on board, get ready to set sail when the new season premieres Fri. Sept. 13th on HBO.

From the get go, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been a comedy jewel in this new Peak TV/Golden Era of Television that we’re currently in.

Mrs. Maisel is on to its third season now and seems to be cruising along as an award-winning, critical darling like it has been doing it for quite some time now (having the mind of Amy Sherman-Palladino at the helm certainly helps).

A lot has happened between season two and the upcoming season three with Better Things considering Louis C.K.’s involvement with the show and what has happened to him within that time (i.e. his fall from grace and losing almost every project he was working on).

Despite all of that, Pamela Adlon is marching on very confidently with the show and it seems from the trailer that she’s offering up a very promising third season that will follow a critically acclaimed second season.

See for yourself in this very enjoyable S3 trailer here, then look for Better Things’ S3 premiere on FX on Thurs., Feb. 28th.
