From the get go, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been a comedy jewel in this new Peak TV/Golden Era of Television that we’re currently in.

Mrs. Maisel is on to its third season now and seems to be cruising along as an award-winning, critical darling like it has been doing it for quite some time now (having the mind of Amy Sherman-Palladino at the helm certainly helps).

Take a look for yourself with this season 3 trailer, then look for the season premiere on Amazon Prime on Fri. Dec. 6th.

Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is bringing Amazon her latest series which will follow one woman who falls into the world of stand-up during NYC’s burgeoning comedy scene in the late 50s/60s.

Called The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, it might be NYC (and possibly more upbeat) counterpart to Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here.

See for yourself in the trailer.

Episodes start streaming on Amazon Prime on Wednesday, November 29th.

Part dark political comedy, part sci-fi thriller, BrainDead will have a timely premiere tonight at 10PM on CBS.

The show explores the notion that the insanity in Washington might be explained by alien bugs eating politicians’ brains. Seems like a rational explanation these days.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look to prep you for what’s to come.

Paramount Adapting “Galaxy Quest” for TV

(via Deadline)

If this actually goes to series, they’ll be going head-to-head with Other Space.

It’s been over 15 years since Galaxy Quest was on the big screen and now Paramount is picking it as the latest TV show to be adapted/revived from something that happened ten years ago and more. The director, writer, and producer of the movie will be involved.

High concept sci-fi sitcoms are on the rise with the success of Last Man on Earth as well as the aforementioned Other Space.

Hopefully, they’ll handle the adaptation well and get as much of the cast including Sigourney Weaver, Sam Rockwell, and Tony Shaloub on board as they can.
