Weekly show, Sauce Comedy, is using June to put on an entire all-female comedy festival that does indeed feature some of the best comedians (see for yourself in the flyer above) that LA has to offer.
Perfectly called Pizza Coven, there are five Fridays in June that will make up this festival held at Desano’s Pizza in Hollywood.

Mike Birbiglia’s latest stop in LA, for his “The New One” tour, will be in the gorgeous Wilshire Ebell Theatre on October 26th at 7PM. Tickets are going for $38-$48 and up for sale now.

Wolf Den is one of the more picturesque house shows in the LA scene. They’re a monthly show nestled in Silverlake, making it even more of a special occasion, that has a swell line-up for May.

The “cat obsessed late night talk show” has some feline comedy royalty lined-up as the hosts of The Purrrcast and Jake Weisman, a comedian cat lover who also co-hosted a podcast about cats awhile ago will be joining host Joey Clift in really diving deep into their love of cats.

Simply put, Natalie Palamides is one of the best around and this is one of our favorite things in recent memory. Also, this show is about to play The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This might be one of the last times you get to see it stateside for awhile.

The cast of Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ is going to do an improv show, which could be a show on its own probably, to kick off the premiere of their third seaosn.
Advance tickets are currently sold out, but UCB sometimes releases tickets leading up to the show and there’s always a stand by line.

Mike Drucker is not only having comedians play video games, which is proven formula for a good time (see Conan’s Clueless Gamer), but he will be having them play some of the worst games of all time like Shaq-Fu, Bible Adventures, and more for Sh*t Arcade next month at Nerdmelt.
You might even get to win one of those infamous games at this show.

Frank Conniff AKA TV’s Frank and the ‘bottom of the barrel’ of cartoon historian Jerry Beck’s archive all return for Cartoon Dump! next month at The Steve Allen Theater.
Screening of actual bad cartoons are interspersed with a live stage parody of those types of cartoons as dreamt up by Conniff and company.

Comedy Central’s will be taping their latest season of This Is Not Happening with Ari Shaffir very soon at Cheetah’s in Los Feliz. There are 14 tapings currently available to attend for free, so long as you RSVP, and, as usual, they’ve got a very, very stacked line-up.
Stories will be coming from the likes of Darrell Hammond, Scott Thompson, Anthony Atamanuik, Byron Bowers, Sandra Bernhard, Kyle Kinane, Sean Patton, Chris Garcia, Joel Kim Booster, and Tom Segura to name a few.

We, and by “we”, I mean just one person, Jake Kroeger, love supporting LA comedy and, by extension, the art form of comedy through efforts put forth here by The Comedy Bureau.
We’ve been doing for almost 7 years. It might almost be 7 years. We’ve kind of lost count because we haven’t taken a day off since 2010. That’s not hyperbole. “We” just a) love comedy and b) are workaholics.
Being a publicly funded resource is hard enough through official channels a la grants or funds handed out by governments or well known benefactors.
Rather than go that route, we’re looking to all of you fine folks that have dug us throughout the years to help us out by pledging on our Patreon page to not only keep our operations going, but help us expand possibly to NYC and improve and streamline the Bureau as a whole.
To kick off a brand new, upcoming Dr. Katz audio series on Audible, Dr. Katz: The Audio Files, Jonathan Katz, Laura Silverman, and 5 very special celebrity patients will record a live episode at Cinefamily next month.
