Though you might be skeptical, there are indeed, real, honest, good industry folks that are less about the industry than their job title might suggest. Cue in one of our favorite industry folks, producer Danielle Lee, who has brought great and wonderful things to stages and screens of all sizes across the country and is a fierce supporter of the best, forward thinking comedy out there. TCB’s Jake Kroeger sits down with Danielle to talk shop and specifically get an industry insider perspective on how comedians can best serve themselves going forward in 2022.

All My Friends Hate Me Shows That There Doesn’t Need to Be a Big Bad Monster for a Horror Comedy

March 15, 2022
News
all my friends hate me, andrew gaynord, neon releasing, tom palmer, tom stourton

Sure FDR famously emblazoned the quote “all we have to fear is fear itself” into the collective unconscious nearly a century ago for all that generations that will follow. However, you can divvy up fear a little more specifically as to what you’re actually being afraid of. There doesn’t need to be a demon or real life despotic tyrant or serial killer for fear to creep into your brain.

The brilliantly funny UK social-anxiety-horror-comedy All My Friends Hate Me explores that homegrown, self-induced fear that can be sourced from just your own being and how quietly terrifying (and very funny if it’s not happening to you) that can be. Again, the world itself is dreadful enough without monsters. Tom Stourton, the star and co-writer, along with co-writer Tom Palmer and director Andrew Gaynord, exquisitely twist suspected passive aggression into utter dread and exquisitely humorous set pieces for the charmingly titled film. Stourton puts on an almost acrobatic display of neuroses and overwhelming overthinking things as the star to the point that if you suffer from secondhand embarrassment, you will likely find this an intense, visceral viewing experience.

The concept of a social-anxiety-thriller-comedy without any sort of major inciting incident akin to Search Party is pretty clever and, on that merit alone, worth giving All My Friends Hate Me a watch. However, the execution here is pretty top notch and will definitely thinking about surprise parties in a whole different way (hopefully, more empathetically).

All My Friends Hate Me is currently in limited release at a theater near you, but will be digitally released on 3/25.

Pick of the Day: Ben Wasserman: Live After Death (in NYC) 3/26

March 15, 2022
News
Ben Wasserman, brooklyn, death, Devon Walker, experimental comedy, nyc comedy, solo show

Death, even now, is still a strange, somewhat impenetrable topic to talk about in everyday conversation in America. While other cultures celebrate its relation to life and that, in some cases, is thought more of as a part of an infinite cycle, many of us think of it as something that’s inevitable and, in its inevitability, terrifying.

Comedy, from time to time, does what it does best and brings levity and illumination to the matter of dying whether it be doing a comedy show in Hollywood Forever Cemetery or Sean White doing an excellent entire concept album about losing a good majority of his family (on top of getting divorced) in a very small window of time.

Coming up soon, Ben Wasserman, a cherished, wild NYC multi-disciplinary comedian, is taking another step forward and mixing up death with comedy with his new solo show, Live After Death. Not only will be a show dedicated and inspired to the passing of several people he was close to within 3 years, but it’ll be a mix of stand-up, crowd work, and clowning, and it’ll be performed at an actual funeral home (Comedy Is Dead @ Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever can’t even claim that).

Wasserman will be performing Live After Death in the perfect setting, specifically at Sparrow: A Contemporary Funeral Home in Brooklyn with Devon Walker doing an opening set on Sat. Mar. 26th at 8:30PM ET. Tickets for what is sure to be an unforgettable, cathartic show are only $10 right now (and $15 at the door). We highly suggest you snag your tickets right now.

Ismael Loutfi’s “Sound It Out” Is a Hilarious, Yet Deep Half-Hour Special About Being Muslim in America

March 14, 2022
News
comedy central, ismael loutfi, stand up comedy

Over the last few years, you’ve seen the rise of Hasan Minhaj and Ramy Youssef and, in their ascent, we have all been given a beautiful and humorous look into the life of being Muslim in America. That said, that doesn’t mean that “box” is checked off and there isn’t more to be expressed in comedy from the American Muslim perspective. In fact, there’s so much that hasn’t been joked about and Ismael Loutfi dissects this identity and the narratives attached to in such a precise and uproarious way in his new Comedy Central half-hour special, Sound It Out.

For our money, aside from Minhaj and Youssef and so many other practicing Muslim comedians, Loutfi might be the sharpest writer of them all. The depth and nuance that he has with which he dives into any sort of observation, even the politics of pronouncing his name correctly, is astounding and has such a great twists, tags, and punchlines. Loutfi, from this special, is hopefully taking up the torch for the notion of “representation matters” equating to more than just voice from one background, especially if they’re so damn funny.

Ismael Loutfi: Sound It Out is streaming on Comedy Central Stand-Up’s YouTube channel for free here. Please watch and enjoy ASAP.

Pick of the Day: Doug Stanhope (in LA) 3/15 & 3/16

March 14, 2022
News
doug stanhope, los angeles comedy, stand up comedy, the comedy store

At this point, history will look back at Doug Stanhope as a foundational and influential comedian and what he has done for the art form and keeping its edge thoroughly sharp and actually speaking truth to power while being downright hysterical. It should almost go without saying that you should take up every single possible chance to see Doug live any time that you can.

In LA and NYC, that’s an incredibly rare happening, but it does happen every few years. Lucky for Angelenos, Doug is playing The Main Room at The Comedy Store this week, Tues 3/15 & Wed. 3/16 at 8PM PT. The Tuesday show is already sold out, but there are limited tickets available for Wed. for $45 (+ 2 drink min.).

Go get them here if they’re not sold out already (or wait at The Comedy Store for stand by because Stanhope, again, is truly worth it)

Pick of the Day: Playspace, The Clown Open Mic @ The Elysian (in LA) Thurs. Starting 3/17

March 11, 2022
News
clowning, elysian, los angeles comedy, open mic, paul schlesinger, rachel ho, will duncan

While stand-up open mics are fully back (and have been back for more than a minute now), the open mics for other disciplines in comedy haven’t gotten a chance to return to the world of the living as quickly.

Thankfully, that dynamic is starting to change and there are starting to be improv jams and the like again. Starting next week, there will be an open mic specifically for the clown community where they can try all of their interactive, partially strategized bits that have been part of some of the most fun things we’ve seen in comedy over the last few years.

Called Playspace, it’ll be at the Elysian every Thursday with doors/sign-up at 4:30PM PT and the mic starting on 5PM PT with aspiring clowns Will Duncan, Rachel Ho, and Paul Schlesinger hosting. Clowns, solo show performers, and ensembles welcome (though, again, it’s explicitly not a stand-up open mic). There’s no need to purchase or buy anything and you can follow @__playspace__ on IG to keep up to date.

Keep in mind that The Elysian still required proof of vaccination and masks indoors.

Please Enjoy Maria Bamford’s Amazing Set About Death and Grief on Corden

March 11, 2022
News
james corden, late late show, maria bamford, stand up comedy

When it comes to dark subject matter, there’s no one that brings the sort of beautiful, hilarious, and healing light of comedy to touchy subjects quite like Maria Bamford. Whether it be mental health, class, religion, or anything else that might potentially get into upsetting territory with an audience, Maria has time and time again given us that visceral, ameliorating feeling that the best jokes, bits, observations can give in the darkest of hours.

This set she performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden is no different as Maria dives in head first into her recent personal experience with death, grief, loss, and having to deal with the more explicit personal effects of the deceased. It’s simply another magnificent set of stand-up comedy from one of the best to ever do it.

Please enjoy it and have a brighter day here.

Pick of the Day: Gemma Soldati: The Poor Rich (in NYC) 4/2

March 10, 2022
News
brooklyn, clowning, gemma soldati, nyc comedy, the poor rich, union hall

Whether you have yet to dip your town into this new world of clown that you might have heard rumblings about or you’re obsessed with it as you are a clown yourself, you really should be watching whatever Gemma Soldati does wherever she does it. A long time, masterful clown performer, Gemma’s absolute fearlessness matches her commitment to the absurd (on top of having satirical point to all of it to boot).

Her latest show, The Poor Rich, currently a work in progress, might be her greatest work to date with Gemma commanding the stage as a sort of unfettered capitalist finance dominatrix and teasing the audience cleverly for every last penny. Soldati exquisitely shows how much money runs our daily lives and has such madcap fun doing it, almost like Wolf of Wall Street done up by clowns.

Gemma is performing The Poor Rich at Union Hall on Sat. Apr. 2nd at 7:30PM ET. Tickets are $12 and we highly suggest getting them ASAP.

Ramy Youssef Signs First Look Deal and Gets Adult Animated Series at Amazon

March 10, 2022
News
amazon, first look deal, ramy youssef

While Ramy the series isn’t moving forward at Hulu, the show’s namesake, Ramy Youssef, is hardly close from being finished on his end. Announced today, Ramy has inked a first look deal with Amazon to develop and produce projects for one of the biggest companies in the world (and also the place where such amazing boundary pushing shows such as Fleabag and Transparent called home).

Youssef’s very particular brand of dramedy when it comes to TV will be fascinating to see in this first project born from this deal, an adult animated series that will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime. No other details are available at this time for the series, but it’s probably a safe bet that it will be a very personal show that could only come from Ramy’s unique point-of-view being in between worlds of America and desiring to be a more faithful Muslim and would probably only get made on streaming service for the amount of tricky territory that Youssef likes exploring.

Note that this is only the first project from this deal at Amazon and we’re intensely curious to see what else he’s got cooking, which will hopefully be revealed in the not too distant future (maybe when the pandemic truly becomes an endemic).

Here’s Your First Gander at Season 2 of Three Busy Debras

March 10, 2022
News
adult swim, alyssa stonoha, first look, mitra jouhari, sandy honig, season 2, three busy debras

Your favorite trio of Debras, the three busiest ones played by Alyssa Stonoha, Mitra Jouhari, and Sandy Honig, are finally back for season 2. The first season of Three Busy Debras premiered on Adult Swim two years ago right when a certain global pandemic struck.

Their particular brand of absurdist humor, even though it’s satire to the nth degree of the unfortunately real world, is still such an escapist joy that we’ve dearly missed them for however long this time has felt for you (ten years for us, at least).

This second season of Three Busy Debras is due out on April 24th on Adult Swim and will be available to stream the next day on HBO Max. Until then, you can remind yourself what a ridiculous delight Three Busy Debras are with the first official look/clip of season 2 here.

The Comedy Bureau Field Report Ep. 102: Val Douroux & Starting Comedy Festivals

News, The Comedy Bureau Field Report
comedy festival, electric comedy, utah, val douroux

Of all the grandiose comedy goals one might have had over the last two years, starting a comedy festival in a national park in Utah was probably both far out of sight as well as far from being a potential reality. The effervescent and determined writer/comedian/producer Val Douroux truly pulled off doing a comedy festival in Zion National Park with the Electric Comedy Festival, not once, but twice. Douroux walks through that journey of starting a DIY comedy festival in the unlikeliest of times with TCB’s Jake Kroeger and shares in her joy for the art form.

Also “hot” takes on Muppet Mayhem, Spirit Award comedy winners, and more.

Pick of the Day: Bro V Wade: Funny Dudes. Raising Cash. For Abortion. (in NYC) 5/22

March 8, 2022
News
abortion access front, bell house, brooklyn, comedy benefit, dave hill, david cross, dean obeidallah, international women's day, john fugelsang, jon glaser, josh gondelman, joyelle nicole johnson, nyc comedy, reproductive rights, women's history month

Far be it from us to point out a live comedy show with just mostly men on the line-up on International Women’s Day and during Women’s History Month. That said, if the renowned and celebrated men on said line-up were donating their time to raise money for abortion access and reproductive rights via the Lizz Winstead (co-creator of The Daily Show) org  Abortion Access Front and had the fantastic Joyelle Nicole Johnson hosting the whole shin dig, that is a different story.

It’s actually the story of the upcoming comedy charity benefit event Bro V. Wade: Funny Dudes. Raising Cash. For Abortion set for Sun. May 22nd at The Bell House in Brooklyn at 7:30PM ET. The likes of David Cross, Dave Hill, Jon Glaser, John Fugelsang, Josh Gondelman, and Dean Obeidallah are billed and we wouldn’t be surprised if there were more special guests TBA.

FYI: Founded in 2015, Abortion Access Front is a team of comedians, writers and producers that uses humor to destigmatize abortion and expose the extremist anti-choice forces working to destroy access to reproductive rights in all 50 states.

Tickets are $40 and, if you’re in and around NYC, you need to get them here.

Catherine Cohen: The Twist… ? She’s Gorgeous, The Special, Is Only a Week Away

March 7, 2022
News
catherine cohen, comedy special, musical comedy, netflix, netflix is a joke, trailer

Catherine Cohen has been such a maven of her particular brand of high gloss, yet vulnerable cabaret/musical comedy for so long that she has built a die-hard following that has packed out both Club Cumming as well as IG Live when she had to live-stream her main stay show, Cabernet Cabaret. That being the case, an hour special has been a long time coming and that, in of itself, is a twist for all the years passing until now when this special, The Twist… ? She’s Gorgeous is debuting on Netflix.

Cohen put this very first hour up at the hallowed NYC comedy staple, Joe’s Pub, which we’re thrilled that Netflix subscribers (and friends w/Netflix passwords) will get to see just in case they haven’t seen its intimate majesty.

There’s only a week and change before we get to see Cohen in one of her shiniest get-ups to do her debut hour one-woman comedy special. For now, you can pass the time with a taste of what’s to come with the official trailer for Catherine Cohen: The Twist… ? She’s Gorgeous here before the Mar. 15th premiere.

Pick of the Day: Rubbish Comedy Presents Darling Tallie (in NYC) 3/23

March 7, 2022
News
angela trimbur, aparna nancherla, dance party, dave hill, dixon place, jo firestone, musical comedy, nyc comedy, rubbish comedy, seaton smith, stand up comedy, tallie medez

As we are thankfully starting to see, there are new folks stepping up and filling in where others in comedy had to close up shop due to the pandemic. Rubbish Comedy is the latest collective to get born out of this time and it sure seems like they’ve got some fun things up their sleeves, whether they’re actually rubbish or not.

Currently operating out of Dixon Place in NYC, Rubbish’s latest happening, Darling Tallie, will be a triple threat of a comedy show, dance party, and dance contest. Cocoon Central Dance Team’s Tallie Medez will be hosting/presiding over this comedy dance mash-up evening with an amazing NYC line-up of Aparna Nancherla, Seaton Smith, Jo Firestone, Dave Hill, and dance sensation Angela Trimbur.

Darling Tallie is set for Wed. Mar. 23rd at 7:30PM ET at Dixon Place. Tickets are only $18 right now and you really ought to get on snagging those ASAP (and dusting off your dancing shoes).

Just a Slightly Bit More Mystery Is Revealed with Latest Atlanta Season 3 Trailer

March 4, 2022
News
atlanta, brian tyree henry, donald glover, fx, lakeith  stanfield, zazie beetz

From top to bottom, every fiber of Donald Glover’s Atlanta seems unique unto itself. There’s almost no other non-anthology series in the history in television that switches things up with characters, arcs, tone, narratives, etc. as much as the award winning Atlanta. Part of the thrill of watching any episode is truly not knowing what it going to happen as no single episode is a blueprint for another and we can only hope that Glover’s defiance of the long held trappings of genre inspires a whole new generation of television.

Still, we’re overwhelmingly curious what lies in store for Earn, Paper Boi, Earn, Darius, and Van as they leave Atlanta for the first time for Paper Boi’s European tour. This latest trailer for this third season gives us a little window into what sort of chaos the four get into. Though, don’t be surprised if this season goes so far beyond whatever you see here.

It’s pretty clear that they’ll show how black people are still othered in Europe and not just in America and do a wonderful job satirically putting that on display.

Pick of the Day: 69 Filthy Minutes with Steph Tolev (in NYC) 3/10

March 4, 2022
News
asylum nyc, ny comedy, sketch comedy, stand up comedy, steph tolev

If you’re in and around LA comedy at all, it should be no mystery or surprise to you that Steph Tolev is one of the funniest people in the scene. Her brash, bold, and yet very vulnerable comedy that’s delightfully accented by Steph’s one-of-a-kind voice has been such a joy to Los Angeles for years now and we’ll never forget that she is very likely the only comedian that had a show done for her where dozens of her favorite comics in town did an impersonation of her in tribute.

So, NYC is going to get their own bit of Steph next week as she’ll be doing a very special evening of sketch and stand-up at Asylum NYC on Thurs. Mar. 10th at 7:30PM ET. Very specifically she’ll be doing a special 69 minutes that Steph would like it to be very clear that it’s “not PG” (in case the “69” didn’t make it clear).

Tickets are $18.81 (including fees) and you can (and very much should) go get them here.

Enjoy the Trailer for HBO Max’s 1970s Nude Mag Comedy “The Minx”

March 3, 2022
News
hbo max, jake johnson, ophelia lovibond, the minx

HBO and HBO Max are diving further into their stash of period pieces for 2022. Already, they’ve got The Gilded Age whetting people’s appetites with a showdown of old and new money in Industrial Age America between Christine Baranski and Carrie Coon, but they also have one of the year’s mostly highly anticipated shows in Adam McKay’s Lakers dynasty series Winning Time coming in just a few days.

Also coming down the HBO Max streaming pipeline will be The Minx, a 70s nudie mag comedy that follows a fledgling feminist magazine get itself on the ground by featuring nude men. Ophelia Lovibond and Jake Johnson star in this Ellen Rapoport series along with a lot of comedy scene favorites in Lennon Parham, Oscar Montoya, and Jessica Lowe.

For something that is essentially the hypothetical flip of Playboy minus Hugh Hefner, there seems to be some pretty fun promise for the series. Get a delicious taste of what’s to come with The Minx in the first official trailer here, then look for it to stream on HBO Max on Fri. Mar. 17th.

The Pack Theater, one of LA’s most innovative and boundary pushing comedy theaters, has survived the pandemic, seemingly, more than a few times. Right at the outset, they had a big fundraiser that raised enough money to cover their rent for several months, though we truly didn’t have any idea how long the pandemic would last (especially as it’s still not completely over two years later). In that time, they built one of the most robust offerings of virtual comedy from any venue almost anywhere in the world. All of that has kept them alive enough (even having to temporarily give up their original space in The Complex) through all the variants.

This Saturday, March 5th, The Pack Theater will be finally opening its doors for in-person shows and as a matter of it being a grand reopening, they’re going to have a grand evening curated from every corner of comedy (including with a bit of an assist from us here at TCB.

Right now, the Pack Theater Reopening has a line-up of:

7PM PT-improv from Heather & Miles (one of the all time, best improv duos)
8PM PT-sketch from Joan Ford & Cait Raft (one of the most fun sketch duos in LA)
9PM PT-The Comedy Bureau (that’s us) Presents (w/Girl God, Atsuko Okatsuka, Zavior Phillips, Nori Reed, Percy Rustomji, Malcolm Barrett, Madison Shepard, and host Ayla Glass

Just come around this Saturday, Mar. 5th to 6476 Santa Monica Blvd. to celebrate another comedy institution making it to this side of the pandemic. Get tickets for the evening’s festivities here.

Pick of the Day: Katrina Davis-The Comic Is Present (in LA) 4/1 & 4/2

March 2, 2022
News
artist is present, experimental comedy, katrina davis, los angeles comedy, stand up comedy

No matter how self-deprecating comedians will ever get and insist that comedy isn’t really an art form as some of us wheel and deal in humor for the lowest common denominator for much success, comedy is indeed an art form. There are others among comedy that actually bristle and brim and even burn through the edges of the forms and tropes of comedy, whatever discipline it may be, that really make it light up like the art form that it could be.

The warm and also sharply funny Katrina Davis is embarking on such a project, The Comic Is Present, with her upcoming performances of The Comic Is Present. Taking a cue from Marina Abramovic’s famous performance piece The Artist Is Present, Katrina will allow audience members to say whatever they want to her while seated opposite her for 60 seconds. Then, Katrina will turn all of that into fodder for a 50+ minute set of stand-up comedy. Neither Marina or Shia LeBeouf with a bag over his head went this far with the performance art, but, then again, either of them probably wouldn’t really want to do the stand-up comedy portion of this comedy experiment.

Here’s a bit of a sneak peek of what that might look like.

Katrina will be putting The Comic Is Present up at The LODGE in Hollywood/Melrose Hill on April Fool’s Day, Apr. 1st & Apr. 2nd at 6PM PT. You can, and very much should, go get tickets and more info here.

The Comedy Bureau Field Report Ep. 101: Yedoye Travis & Redefining the Idea of Being a Comedian

News, The Comedy Bureau Field Report

There is and has been some sort of prevailing narrative as to the trajectory of a comedian’s career for decades. The milestones of doing late night or doing specials, getting your show, playing theaters/stadiums, etc. are just some of the trappings that many have thought is some sort of path for the artist that is a comedian. That said, it doesn’t have to be that way and the very funny and very thoughtful Yedoye Travis unravels these ideas and notions with TCB’s Jake Kroeger as he is blazing his very own trail that just so happens to include a lot of Yedoye performing really great stand-up comedy.

See the Full Breadth of Big Mouth’s Human Resources In Its First Full-Length Trailer

It was kind of the tease of the last season of Big Mouth that there is more to the world of Hormone Monsters and Shame Wizards than what we’ve seen terrorize or inspire the human teens going through the nightmare that is puberty. Thus, that will be the core of the spin-off series Human Resources.

The world of Human Resources will explore all sorts of Depression Kitties, Logic Rocks, Grati-Toads, and much much more and how off-the-rails their world is as well. Per usual with Big Mouth (or shall we say the Big Mouth Cinematic Universe), it’s stacked with a bright, shining, star studded voice cast that includes Aidy Bryant, Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, Brandon Kyle Goodman, David Thewlis, Randall Park, Keke Palmer, Lupita Nyong’o, Rosie Perez, Ali Wong, Helen Mirren, Henry Winkler, Janelle Monáe, and Hugh Jackman.

Get a full, rollicking taste of what that’s all going to be like (maybe even more raunchy than Big Mouth?) in this trailer here, then look for all episodes to drop on Netflix on Fri. Mar. 18th.

Tim Robinson & Zach Kanin Might Have a New HBO Max Show with “Computer School”

March 1, 2022
News
computer school, hbo max, tim robinson, zach kanin

(via Variety)

As far as we’re concerned, Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin set a new bar for sketch comedy with only two seasons of I Think You Should Leave proving that they should be further allowed to, perhaps, do as they please. We would sincerely hope that a third season of I Think You Should Leave would be part of that, but, for now, we’ll be ecstatic over the announcement that HBO Max has ordered a pilot from Robinson and Kanin called Computer School.

The premise is very simple, but leaves plenty of room to go the millions of absurd directions that I Think You Should Leave or Detroiters went to. Computer School will follow a newly minted high school graduate and his uncle ending up in the same computer class in the Michigan ‘burbs. That alone should get the wheels turning at all the joyously chaotic possibilities that could arise from that (and probably a lot of Tim Robinson yelling).

With all of that in mind, we hope that a series order gets announced ASAP (especially we don’t know if and when that next season of ITYSL is going to come out on Netflix).

Right around now, the two year mark of when the reality of COVID-19 was starting to set in for folks here in America, there seems to be things coming back from the appointed time that they were supposed to happen in March 2020.

One of those things was an outdoor comedy show at LA’s iconic train hub, Union Station in DTLA. A variety of stand-up and improv had been all booked and it was definitely going to be one of those highlight, pop-up shows with one of LA’s most picturesque Art Deco back drops.

Called Clock Tower Comedy, it’s now actually, really going to happen at Union Station on Sat. Mar. 12th at the North Patio. For only $5, you’ll get to see the LA’s very best with Naomi Ekperigin, Kurt Braunohler, Asif Ali, Langston Kerman, and Chris Estrada along with co-hosts in LA darlings Steve Hernandez and Amy Miller.

Please Enjoy Yedoye Travis’ Debut Special “Bury Me Loose”

News
comedy central, stand up comedy, yedoye travis

Often, when watching so many comedy specials and listening to hour after hour of comedy albums (not to mention countless number of live comedy shows with an even more innumerable amount of comedians on them) , it’s not uncommon to get a sense of whether comedians are present on stage versus them sounding so rehearsed. The chase for give that illusory feeling of spontaneity and the sharpness of a well crafted joke or bit is a major part of the enigma of why comedy is so persistently difficult and why there is a very small percentage of folks that draw you in with their comedic verve and expertise.

Yedoye Travis is one such refreshing jolt of energy and wit that has dazzled the NYC comedy scene for years now. Every time we see Yedoye, his performances are teeming with such urgency (further emphasized by his humorously sardonic requests to the audience shut up so he can get through jokes) that we stop thinking about the mechanics of any of his bits or how well thought out his point of view as well as the perspectives of others are considered and simply just have as much fun as he’s having on stage.

All of that jaunty lightning is captured in a bottle for his debut half-hour special from Comedy Central, Bury Me Loose. So far, it’s one of our favorite specials of this year and, lucky for you, it’s on YouTube for FREE to see for yourself. Get into Yedoye Travis: Bury Me Loose right here right now.

Ever since we saw Megan Stalter take the stage at Genghis Cohen all those years ago, we knew that there were plenty of dates destined for her on bigger, brighter, and more renowned stages ahead. Thanks a lot COVID for making that wait a lot longer.

Now, Meg is going to have a night all to herself and however she wants it to go (beautifully controlled mischief most likely) at one of LA’s most revered theatres, Largo (@ The Coronet). Mar. 14th at 8:30PM PT, will be the very first of what we hope will be several performances there for Meg and you really best get tickets before they sell out (Meg has really hardcore stans, FYI).
