The Bitch Seat, hosted by Lyssa Mandel, is a very entertaining version of show and tell that features comedians who probably never thought that they would have to do show and tell again, much less with things that possibly make them cringe about their childhood.

This LA edition of Bitch Seat (it’s based in NYC), is happening this Friday and tickets are only $5. You can (and should) get them here.

David Wain, Michael Showalter, and Michael Ian Black reunited for the most recent SF Sketchfest to give us and the whole world a new piece from Stella, their renowned sketch troupe.

We could you give more description/explanation, but we’re betting that you’re already watching it rather than reading this, so we won’t waste anymore of your time and just allow you to watch the new “Rip Van Winkle” from Stella.

Tina Fey’s ‘Mean Girls’ Musical to Start in Washington D.C. on October 31st

The Mean Girls musical is indeed happening as adapted by the original screenwriter, Tina Fey. The first run will happen at Washington D.C.’s National Theatre from October 31st through December 3rd.

It’s almost as if Tina Fey wants to make sure that she, on Halloween, can bother the White House, if she so wishes, in spirit.

Also, take note they haven’t found their lead who would play the role that Lindsay Lohan so famously played in the original film, but we’re guessing that Lohan isn’t in any sort of talks for the part.

Adam Pally Provides More Proof That He Might Be the Next Go-To Great Late Night Guest

As we’ve said before, there are a handful of people that get to go on late night talk shows and bring enough of their own spunk to make for several memorable moments that will endure the test of time. Bill Murray, Stephen Wright, and Charlyne Yi come to mind for us in this regard.

With several appearances with ridiculous get ups and entrances, including this most recent one from last night’s Conan, we’ll add Adam Pally to that list of who you should always catch on late night.

Honestly, we wouldn’t be surprised if people started cosplaying with Pally’s various costumes over the years.

How exactly to make comedy has always been up for debate for hundreds of years.

While the art form as a whole will change and defy any sort of formula applied to it, comedian and chef(?) Ron Babcock does have a convenient way to make– or rather bake a comedy album.

In fact, he even has a video to show you just how to do it just like he did for his upcoming album This Guy coming out at the end of the month from Sure Thing Records.

Beauty and the Beast Gets the Crosswalk Musical Treatment on Corden

Every once in awhile, the intersection at Beverly and Genesee at CBS Television City gets surprised with a presentation of a famous musical courtesy of The Late Late Show with James Corden that happens on the crosswalk while the light is red.

Of course, this means it’s a much, much, much more abridged version lest Corden and company wish to further run the risk of getting hit by cars.

Their latest ‘crosswalk musical’ takes on Beauty and the Beast and even has stars of the movie musical adaptation Luke Evans, Dan Stevens, and Josh Gad join in holding up traffic to sing and dance in period costume.

How much Corden is a taskmaster, especially since he has the credibility of a Tony Award to back him up, in these segments is pretty fun.

We hope this means that CBS will shake things up with some new comedies that are on the order of genre-bending, high concept nature of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

If they’re letting Colbert curse more during his monologues, maybe they’ll start earnestly exploring territory beyond multi cams.

Conan Writers Dan Cronin and Andrés du Bouchet Are Doing a Live Q&A About the Nut Spoon Sketch

You may say, “Nut spoon? What’s a nut spoon and how can that be fodder for a sketch?” Well, comedy legend Carl Reiner is a big fan of the ‘nut spoon sketch’ that aired on last week’s Conan.

As a result, Conan staffers Dan Cronin and Andrés du Bouchet are doing a Q&A just on that sketch alone with Aaron Bleyaert moderating. No other show would do a whole conversation on camera about a single sketch and that’s part of why we love Conan.

Watch the Q&A that’s live right now here.
