What might be one of Comedy Central’s all-time best series returns for its swan song tonight.
At 10PM, the third and final season of Review premieres and you should absolutely not miss it.
One of the best and most unique storytelling shows around is coming around again.
We Still Like You features stories from funny people where they are definitely not the hero. There’s live illustration and, at the end, the audience gets to cathartically exclaim “WE STILL LIKE YOU!” Also, it’s in the intimate setting of someone’s house.
It’s happening this Saturday with a fun line-up of recent LA transplant comedians. Doors are at 9:30PM and you can get more details here.

From the UK’s Alice Lowe, Prevenge is the story of a pregnancy becoming all too consuming in the darkest way possible. This trailer shows just how delightfully sinister such a story could be.
Recently, Prevenge has been making the rounds at SXSW, but, after just seeing the trailer, we hope that it gets some kind of extensive North American distribution very soon.
Actually, you can catch a free sneak preview of the film at Cinefamily this Thursday.
HBO Renews Crashing for Season 2
HBO has come to a decision pretty quick to renew Pete Holmes’ series Crashing for a second season.
Currently, they’re in the middle of their first season, which makes us ponder how exactly Pete will continue the premise of ‘crashing’ at other people’s places through the second season.
NYC’s Anthony DeVito delivered a confident and jolly debut on late night last Friday. In fact, it didn’t seem like a debut and more like a return appearance, which we’re guessing will be in the cards for him.
Give it a watch here.
Master of None Returning for Season 2 on May 12
Master of None was a really refreshing surprise when its first season came out, which is impressive at this time where we’re in the thick of another wave of shows being based on the lives of comedians. The writing, directing, editing, cinematography was all on another level and was combined with a succinct commentary on timely issues.
So, naturally, we’re excited for May 12th when the series returns to Netflix for its second season.
This weekend, the amazing Heather Anne Campbell (AOK, Hebecky Drysbell, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, The Midnight Show) and guests will be doing live video game tournaments with play-by-play commentary, which, we’re just guessing here, is way better, more hilarious, and less offensive (probably) than most insults thrown between most gamers.
It will be the very first Video Game Show at The Pack Theater in Hollywood and admission is just pay what you can. Get more details here.

We got some new “threads”.
We have to give many thanks to the brilliant Chris Fairbanks for our new badass logo.

There used to be a time, back in the days of Dean Martin, when comedic roasting was used to actually honor people rather than be a thin veil over verbally attacking someone who is widely and often criticized or even hated.
This tradition of honorary ribbing is partially the idea behind Spike TV’s “One Night Only: Alec Baldwin” that will serve as a retrospective over Baldwin’s long, expansive career and as a classic roast.
If you’re into this, probably like Trump will be, tune in on July 9th at 9PM on Spike.
Comedy Central’s The Comedy Jam (previously known as The Goddamn Comedy Jam) really went for the moon in having comedy folks jam out to a song that means a lot to them.
DMX, Scott Stapp, and more join Bert Kreischer, Jay Pharoah, Tiffany Haddish, and more for this show. See for yourself in this trailer.
Then, look for the series premiere next week on March 22nd on Comedy Central.

After all these years, not one, but two Dave Chappelle specials are just one week away.
Shot in LA and Austin in 2016 and 2015 respectively, these specials have been tucked away for a minute, which leads up to believe that Dave could cue another special, probably, soon if he wanted to.
See Chappelle return to the mic for two specials in this trailer just released today.
Both specials start streaming on Netflix on Tuesday, March 21st.
While the tables have turned with Veep seeming less crazy than what is actually happening with The White House these days, Veep still seems every bit of the prestige comedy series coming towards its 6th season.
See for yourself in the newly released trailer.
Season 6 of Veep premieres on Sunday, April 16 at 10:30PM on HBO.

Trues Tales Boldly Told, Another Round with Tracy Clayton and Heben Nigatu, Mike Myers, Janeane Garofalo, David Cross, and much much more are coming to The Bell House in Brooklyn next month for the 5th Annual NYC Podfest.
Pretty swell, huh?
Given how well podcasts tour these days, we’d urge you to buy tickets sooner rather than later. Already, a few shows for this NYC Podfest are sold out.

Yep, Jeff Bridges gave a damn fine present to his good friend and Big Lebowski co-star John Goodman by showing up as The Dude at the ceremony to give Goodman a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame.
See The Dude indeed abide here.
Guy Branum’s competitive talk show, Talk Show the Game Show, is going to be a full-fledged TV series on TruTV next month.
For the uninitiated, Guy created a brilliant show format where guests have to compete to be the most interesting talk show guest, complete with a panel of judges. It’s been one of our favorite things to see in LA for years.
Going from live show to TV show, Talk Show the Game Show is now being kicked into high gear with more exciting bells and whistles as shown in this trailer.
The first season will have the following folks go head-to-head in trying to edge out each other in being more interesting, witty, fun, etc.:

Comedy Crawl and Open Mic Run All Updated for Next Week
Whether St. Patrick’s Day is your thing or not, we’ve got plenty of comedy to go right along with however you choose to take on this week.

This week, Jenny Zigrino’s first album, cleverly titled “JZ’s New Album” (the track listings altogether reads “I. Hope. That. Jay. Z. Doesn’t. Sue. Me. For. Doing. This.”).
This hour from Jenny shines a light on her bubbly, yet fierce persona. Her succinct observations on feminism, body positivity, and her own life make for a timely and delightful listen.
Get JZ’s New Album from Stand Up! Records off of iTunes now.
Much of UCB’s best and brightest (really, they’re some of our favorites to rise from the UCB stage) are doing bits, characters, and sketches in this new monthly showcase produced by Nick Ciarelli and Bradford Evans, Atlantic City, starting this week.
The line-up is stacked and we really think you should get your tickets sooner rather than later. They’re $7 and you can (and should) get them here.

At 10PM on HBO tonight, Jerrod Carmichael’s second special “8″ will be premiering. After having some seasons of his own critically acclaimed network sitcom and an hour long HBO special under his belt, we’re thoroughly curious as to what this latest snapshot of Jerrod will be like.
As you’ll notice from this promo, it has a rather distinct look apart from most stand-up specials. That might have something to do with the one and only Bo Burnham directing it. They’re probably are some great surprises in there as well with Bo in the director’s seat.
It’s rare that a movie that, on paper, had so much potential resulted in the mess that is Collateral Beauty.
For that, the upcoming Doug Benson Movie Interruption at Cinefamily at the end of the month should be an extra special one to attend.
Tickets are still available for $14 here.

Not too long ago, Sam Jay transplanted herself from Boston to LA and she has been hitting the ground running ever since.
She dishes out her truth in stand-up, but always adds the right amount of clever playfulness throughout her sets.
See for yourself in this debut late night stand-up set on Kimmel, then keep an eye where Sam’s playing next.
