The Veep Universe Expands with Updated Jonah Ryan, Richard Splett Websites and Selina Meyer Fund for Adult Literacy

Maybe it’s because it’s just a fictional reality versus our actual reality, but Jonah’s latest foibles with his public image via his own website, Selina’s desperate attempt to seem caring and likable, and Richard Splett’s “engrossing” blog make for a world that seems a little better than our own.

So, do enjoy the rabbit hole of bonus interactive content that Veep has gifted us all for season six, which includes a Selina Meyer “on-line literacy test”.

While the tables have turned with Veep seeming less crazy than what is actually happening with The White House these days, Veep still seems every bit of the prestige comedy series coming towards its 6th season.

See for yourself in the newly released trailer.

Season 6 of Veep premieres on Sunday, April 16 at 10:30PM on HBO.

Jena Friedman Is Set to Write and Direct Her First Feature “Serial Dater”

Comedy multi-hyphenate Jena Friedman is both a crucial voice in comedy and in today’s cultural landscape. Through her stand-up, work on The Daily Show, and way more, Jena has carved out a great niche for her dark, outspoken comedy.

Now, she’s on to making her first feature length film as a writer-director with a stellar cast of Imogen Poots and Timothy Simons. Called Serial Dater, the film will focus on a forensic pathologist who suspects she might be dating a serial killer.

By the way, Jena’s excellent web series that she wrote and directed, Ted and Gracie, is a great quasi-preview of what might come of this project.

Take a brief moment to enjoy the idea of Mike and Jonah from Veep working on a movie together.

Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films and Paramount have gotten on board for Matt Walsh and Timothy Simons’ college football comedy “Red Shirt”.

There are no other details as of right now, but don’t be surprised to hear that it would be an improvised movie and has a dash of Walsh’s sports podcast, Bear Down.
