All day yesterday, the first images from the new Peanuts movie made the rounds the Web with the note that the official trailer was set to drop next week.

Well, due to some hacking, presumably not unlike what happened with The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, the trailer for the the Paul Feig produced, Steve Martino directed Peanuts is here.

John Mulaney sat down with Jimmy Kimmel last night and, as John has a show on network television, talked about his show.

Unfortunately, Fox‘s Mulaney has had a rough start with ratings and reviews and John did not shy away from that. However, Kimmel gave John an unexpected positive twist on the situation.

Hulu Picks Up “Difficult People” Starring Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner to Series

Once, it was a pilot at the USA Network, but now, Difficult People with Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner has gone straight to series over at Hulu.

Amy Poehler is still on board as an executive producer and the show merely follows whatever the hell Eichner and Klausner get themselves into in NYC.

So, all the elements of this show (the cast, producers, premise, and it being at Hulu) promise something that has the potential to be pretty fantastic.

Dead Kevin discovered one of the worst ways an almost harmless prank could go.

While it’s only a very minor consolation, they are fortunate to be in the safety of their own apartment and not at work because this definitely would be not cool to do at work. It’s already not cool at home, but you would definitely get the cops called on you at work if you did what happened in the video.

There Are Plans for a “Toy Story” Themed Hotel in Upcoming Disneyland Shanghai

First off, there are plans for a Disneyland Shanghai, which you should take a moment to take in. On top of that, there will be an entire hotel done in the theme of the “Toy Story” film franchise.

The concept art shows that exterior painted in the design of Andy’s room, which is already has us nostalgic. We’re just spitballing here, but, we’d hope that there would be an actual Pizza Planet as well as a place where Sid’s “Franken-toys” hang out.

As far as weird places where comedy shows are done in LA, in a secret room behind a bookcase is a new one. The great Jay Larson, who we hope you would know from his stand-up, The Crabfeast, and/or Best Bars in America, is putting together a limited engagement run where he and some of his funniest friends will perform in a speakeasy style side room at Bar Covell in Los Feliz.

So, there will be four shows at 8:30PM from 11/24 through 12/15 with $5 cover at the door after you give a password, which Larson will share on the Friday before.

We can only imagine how many Interstellar jokes will be made during the show.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are teaming up again in the Paramount comedy “Daddy’s Home” and have very smartly added Hannibal Buress to the cast.

Whether it be on Broad City or in Neighbors or in Kings of Summer, Hannibal has crushed his guest starring roles thus far. Naturally, we can’t wait to see what will be quoting non-stop from him after seeing in this movie.

Netflix Postpones Release of “Bill Cosby 77”

November 19, 2014
Uncategorized

(via Deadline)

Netflix has apparently felt enough of the heat for Bill Cosby’s increasing number of rapist allegations. They had scheduled the release of his latest comedy special “Bill Cosby 77” for Nov. 28th, but have indefinitely postponed releasing it in light of more allegations, including one from model Janice Dickinson, just in the past few days.

Netflix hasn’t permanently nixed the special and NBC hasn’t cancelled their project with Cosby, but it would come as no surprise if both those things happened soon.

While Cosby has still maintained silence on all of this, save for some dismissive statements from his lawyers, many people feelings are probably in line with this tweet from Patton Oswalt:

You were the first reason I wanted to do comedy. I’ll always marvel at your genius onstage. But here’s where we say goodbye, Bill Cosby.

Conan O’Brien and one of his associate producers Jordan Schlansky have gone on many “delightful” escapades over the years.

Hugh Laurie Might Apparently Be On The Next Season Of “Veep”

The Baltimore Media Blog has reported a sighting of Hugh Laurie on the set of HBO’s Veep dressed very much in the mileu of Veep.

We can only hope that not only that Laurie has indeed returned to a pure, full on comedy after all those years of A Little Bit of Fry and Laurie as well as Blackadder, but that he would be on the show for a long arc, if he doesn’t get a spot as a cast regular. It would be one great thing that would have happened today in the world of comedy.

NBC Not Moving Forward with Bill Cosby Sitcom Project

Well, that didn’t take long.

Earlier today, Netflix postponed their plans to release Bill Cosby 77 due to the rape allegations that are now coming out of the woodwork left and right, and now NBC is following suit by tossing the untitled series project that they were developing with Bill Cosby.

Currently, Cosby has tour dates lined-up through May 2015 as well as three appearances in documentaries according to his IMDB profile. Again, we wouldn’t be surprised if all of these got nixed/postponed too.

Since Jules Winfield suggested that he was going to simply walk the earth in Pulp Fiction 20 years ago, we’ve always wondered what a living person like that would actually be like.

Well, comedian Glenn Wool just happens to be such a person that has traded a home for doing comedy all over the world, wherever he can. Also, you should note that you have to be one hell of a comedian that walks the earth from gig to gig and Wool definitely fits the bill.

Get his brand new album out from Stand Up! Records "No Land’s Man“ (incidentally the same title as Aasif Mandvi’s new book that you should also get) and you’ll see why we say that. Here’s a clip to give you a bit of preview.

While The Colbert Report comes to a close on Dec. 18th, you’ll have a chance to see Stephen Colbert host once more not too long after that. Of course, Colbert is set to take over The Late Show, but he’s also now going to host the annual Kennedy Center Honors set to broadcast on Dec. 30th on CBS after taping on Dec. 7th.

Lily Tomlin and Tom Hanks are among the honorees and will undoubtedly be fun to see next to or around Colbert, post-Colbert Report.

JASH’s “Rubberhead”, Hosted by Sarah Silverman, Now Available on Vimeo

There have been a number of iterations of a JASH variety show now known as Rubberhead over the last year including the period of time it was a show for XBox.

After jumping through, in, and out of hoops, JASH’s Rubberhead with Sarah Silverman as the host is now available to watch for $5 over at Vimeo.

There is a trailer that would you give sort of an idea of what’s going on in the show (appearances from Todd Glass, Natasha Leggero, Nathan Fielder, Shelby Fero, and way more for starters), but there’s also a very NSFW (and we really stress that this time) sketch “Cops Cum Dicks and Flying” starring Silverman and Seth Rogen that gives you an even better idea of how crazy and funny Rubberhead is.

“The Minority Report” with Larry Wilmore Will Now Be Titled “The Nightly Show”

November 20, 2014
Uncategorized
comedy central, Larry wilmore, minority report, the nightly show

(via The Hollywood Reporter)

In order to avoid “brand confusion”, Comedy Central’s replacement for The Colbert Report will no longer called The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore.

Rather, it will now be called The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, which is fitting in the sense that it’s following The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and preceding @midnight with Chris Hardwick,

The “brand confusion” supposedly refers to having the show be more about underdogs as opposed to just minorities. However, it also clears up any confusion it would have with Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report from 2002.

Disney Pixar’s latest original, non-sequel film, The Good Dinosaur, is coming almost a year to the day from now (more precisely a year and 5 days on Nov. 25th, 2015).

The voices of Neil Patrick Harris, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Frances McDormand, and more will all play out the story of a dinosaur befriending a human. It undoubtedly will, like most of the Disney Pixar canon, make us all laugh and tug at our heart strings.

Just check out the first image of Arlo the Apatosaurus (i.e. “The Good Dinosaur”) above and try to be cold and heartless.

Almost a year ago, we wrote a piece about how Conan O’Brien’s remote segments throughout his tenure as a late night host are some of the funniest things to be done on TV and there should be an entire show dedicated to just that. That includes Conan visiting places around the world, dealing with Jordan Schlansky, Clueless Gamer, and more.

Well, it just so turns out that we spoke something into the ether (along with millions of other people most likely) and TBS will air an entire primetime special on Thurs. Dec. 18th at 10PM of the best of these remotes.

We don’t believe in the power of attraction necessarily, but this special happening doesn’t help our case.

For the last year, rumors of a Zoolander 2 being in the works have been floated around. In the 13 years that have passed between the original Zoolander and now, many of us have learned to not hold our breath for the sequel.

However, Will Ferrell saying that a script is in the works and that his character Mugatu is returning gave us hope and, today, learning that Penelope Cruz, who wasn’t in the first movie, has joined the cast gives us even more of that hope to see Derek Zoolander and Blue Steel once more on the big screen.

This now makes us wonder what geopolitical situation are they going to try tie into Zoolander’s world? North Korea? The Middle East?
