Joe Starr Releases His Debut Comedy Album “Heroic Effort”
The very funny Joe Starr has just released his debut comedy album, which you can get on Bandcamp for $5.
Yes, there’s a giant robotic cat as the album cover, which should be even more enticing as opposed to the general medium shot of a comedian making a weird face.
It’s always fascinating to see when comedians who base much of their act on diction and delivery as joke craftsmen go up on Set List: The Improvised Stand Up Show with no hours of stage time to hammer out their jokes per their process.
It’s especially fascinating when they can still pull off their comedic stylings in that settings just like Jimmy Carr did at the Soho Theatre with topics like adorable jihad. Watch the clip here.

UK comedian Simon Amstell has been on American television before, but we hope that it will happen more in this context with doing stand up on The Late Show with David Letterman.
We’ve been doing this (i.e. servicing the LA comedy scene and beyond) for 3 years now and we’re throwing an office party. Woody Allen’s Next Film ‘Magic In The Moonlight’ Set in Southern France
To no one surprise, Woody Allen is lining his next movie in a picturesque locale, which just happens to be Southern France for Magic in the Moonlight.
No word on the plot and whether it’s supposed to be drama, comedy, or dramatic comedy, but we are curious as to whether this will further put on hold Allen’s wish to return to stand up.
Whether or not he was willing, Eric Andre got booked by the police after invading a town hall meeting in Rancho Cucamonga for The Eric Andre Show.

Richard Ayoade’s ‘The Double’ to Get Theatrical Release
The darkly comedic The Double from Richard Ayoade starring Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska just got acquired by Magnolia Pictures and is set to be released in theaters sometime next year.
