Fox made quite the moves yesterday in regards to their comedy slate.
They nabbed both a reality competition series to be produced by Steve Carell as well as a sitcom set in a Fisherman’s Wharf by Family Guy’s own Kevin Biggins and Travis Bowe.
Hopefully, these will go to air instead of being shopped around to other networks like Murder Police.

Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone have sold another comedy project in 2013 making for possibly an era of television comedy where you know the producers names are now recognizable instead of heard about interviews or in books about eras of television. In addition to McCarthy and Falcone, Amy Poehler, Bob Odenkirk, Rashida Jones, Ed Helms, Louis C.K., Will Ferrell, and more are all producing various TV projects at this very moment.
We think and hope that the creatives being in control of the shows will continue this latest golden era of TV, especially when it comes to comedy
Comedian Bert Kreischer to Star in NBC Comedy
The life of Bert Kreischer will possibly be turned into a sitcom and we’ll finally get to see and hear it in a non-animated, non-stand-up format.
Hopefully, it will feature that Russian mob story.

By now, ensemble cast romantic comedies should be a little bit of a red flag, but with Cameron Crowe attached as well as rounding a cast of Jay Baruchel, Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, Alec Baldwin, Emma Stone, and Danny McBride should make for something noteworthy.
College Humor, to our knowledge, has done the best send up of the reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Precious Plum with Josh Ruben and Elaine Carroll which may have to do with the fact that it isn’t that far being mistaken for the actual show.

Yes, there’s a giant robotic cat as the album cover, which should be even more enticing as opposed to the general medium shot of a comedian making a weird face.
It’s always fascinating to see when comedians who base much of their act on diction and delivery as joke craftsmen go up on Set List: The Improvised Stand Up Show with no hours of stage time to hammer out their jokes per their process.
It’s especially fascinating when they can still pull off their comedic stylings in that settings just like Jimmy Carr did at the Soho Theatre with topics like adorable jihad. Watch the clip here.
