Wes Anderson’s latest film The Grand Budapest Hotel is upon us, specifically Mar. 7th 2014, and has a trailer with all the familiar trappings of a Wes Anderson movie with familiar players/stellar cast, exquisite costumes and production design juxtaposed with a good degree of quirkiness, which is probably set to be another really great movie.

Watch the trailer here.

Due to Power Outage, South Park Missed an Air Date

In case you don’t know, South Park basically produces an episode for air right before it airs and has done so for the past 16 seasons. It took a power outage for them to not be able to deliver and delay a week.

This is pretty amazing considering how long they could have had a time loss incident sign not set back to zero.

Sam Hyde of the comedy group Million Dollar Extreme pulled probably one of the best TED talk pranks we’ve ever seen by doing a talk entitled “2070 Paradigm Shift” at TED x Drexel U while wearing fake armor and running shoes predicting everything that will happen in 2070.

Trust us; it’s worth the whole almost 20 minutes, so watch it ASAP.

Jennifer Howell To Head Comedy For Paramount Television

Having had a hand in Bob’s Burgers, South Park, as well as working on many other Matt Stone and Trey Parker projects, Jennifer Howell is very intriguing choice to have head up the comedy division for Paramount Television.

Perhaps, we’ll see more stuff like Burning Love come by way of Paramount (you did know that Paramount was involved in Burning Love, right?)

Challenge Against Podcasting Patent Troll Taken to USPTO by EFF

If you’re not at all familiar, the world of podcasting is in potential danger by what is known as “patent trolls”, people trying to obtain licensing fees off of a patent while they themselves do not enact or produce any such services or products from the very patent they’re trying to profit from.

Luckily, podcasters have banded together, specifically the Electronic Frontier Foundation and are taking it to straight to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon, so we can go back to listen comedians get deep with no worry.
