The monthly short form TV showdown Channel 101, started by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, is back at last after a couple of months of hiatus. Looking at the top finishers above, there seems to be a strong favor towards parodies of procedural dramas (i.e. Baby Mentalist, Karate PI).

Two LA based comedians Robin Higgins and Paige Weldon have started an online humor magazine featuring funny stories, articles, etc. harkening back to a time when we read for laughs (longer than 140 characters at a time). Their site is called is called The Higgs Weldon and is updated Monday and they have a standing open call for submissions if you wish to be a part of it and have something really funny to be read like some of their contributors (also really funny LA comedians) Raj Desai, Asterios Kokkinos, and Jake Weisman.

Tina Fey killed it with Amy Poehler hosting The Golden Globes this year, so why should her acceptance speech for The SAG Awards be any different?

We know it’s one day early, but make sure you remind yourself to watch Adam Cayton Holland on Conan. He’s been on plenty of those comedians to watch lists and if you haven’t seen him on one, he absolutely should be.

This Better Be Funny is finally back and with the awesome Chris Fairbanks!

Jake and Jeremy are finally back after Jeremy having a week spell of sounding like Wolfman Jack if he lost his voice. This time around, they have guest Chris Fairbanks (Comedy Central, Fuel TV) explore his limited time spent in Christian youth musicals as well as how many Adam Sandler references he can drop in one conversation. A well rounded episode, I’d say, so long as you consider well rounded to also include riffing on Morgan Freeman impressions for several minutes.

This is so funny that you kind of forget that the U.S. is still at over $16 billion in debt at the end of slow jamming. Also, Brian Williams should do more comedy cameos/bits.

If you’ve seen the very funny Kurt Braunohler live recently, you might have heard him mention that he was going to start a Kickstarter in order to raise money for writing funny things in the sky with sky writers. 

Well, it turns out it is real and he has already raised his $4000 for a 10 character message, but he could an actual full joke with more donations. Trust us, this will be awesome and if you need to check Kurt’s “insert absurdity and stupidity into strangers’ lives” cred, then watch his episode of Modern Comedian.

In this latest episode of Scott Moran’s Modern Comedian for PBS Digital, the amazing Sara Schaefer discusses the massive amount of debt she has collected over the years by maxing out credit cards while trying to figure her way through comedy as well as making some great jokes about it too.

Luckily, she has a great new TV show with Nikki Glaser that premieres on MTV, Nikki and Sara LIVE that you should all watch (don’t worry we’ll give you another reminder in a post above) at 11PM tonight.

That’s right, the premiere of Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer’s late night talk show on MTV is finally here. Please tune in at 11PM on MTV because they’re both really funny and great as evidenced by their plan to take out their late night competition (watch parts one and two)

Maria Bamford got to do panel interview on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night and it was fantastic, whether she was talking about her Special Special Special (which all of you should buy if you haven’t already) or trying harmonized squeaking with Craig.
