Earlier this year, we interviewed delightful writer/comedian Susan Burke about co-writing a film that was getting attention at Sundance. That film is Smashed and, at the time, there wasn’t any trailer or clips to see of the Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul comedy/drama about a couple trying to sober up co-starring Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally.
After all this time, we’re glad to see that there is finally a trailer for Smashed directed and co-written by James Ponsoldt and comes out Oct. 12th.
Kurt Braunohler continues his project of altering greeting cards at Rite-Aids and CVS’s to the delight of all whether they’re Kurt Braunohler fans or just looking for a get well card. Hope there’ll be a gallery of these someday.

As part of being adopted by IFC, Chris Gethard went out to the streets of NYC, right under a billboard announcing his collaboration with IFC, to see if anyone now recognizes him, especially with a billboard of him a few feet away. Apparently, people have a hard time making the connection between the billboard and Gethard.
Thanks to the very funny Matt Ruby and Mark Normand, we get to see the hard hitting sleuth duo of an Amish and Hasidic cop. Hard hitting, in this case, means getting mistaken for both being Jewish by almost everyone.
