OH, HELLO: the P’dcast Is Officially Here to Win the Quarantine

Nick Kroll and John Mulaney’s indelible creations, Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland, return once again to bring us the best of their geriatric tomfoolery and charming pronunciations with a podcast (definitely an essential business right now).

Called OH, HELLO: the P’dcast, Faizon and St. Geegland pick up where they left off with a supposed podcast project they had started years ago (back when they just had their acclaimed Broadway run and Netflix special). Already, there’s plenty of mischief afoot from just the trailer and ep. 1 and we have no doubt that more of anything from Kroll and Mulaney will help us keep calm and “win the quarantine”.

Get into Oh, Hello: the P’Cast now wherever you listen to podcasts.

Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland’s/Nick Kroll and John Mulaney’s full-length stage show, Oh, Hello on Broadway might just be the unapologetically silly, satirical love letter to Broadway that you need right now.

Every convention of Broadway and theater gets delightfully picked apart by the duo for well over an hour in every way imaginable. Even if you don’t know all the NYC or Broadway references, there’s something undeniably magnetic about the fully realized personas of Faizon and St. Geegland and their endless self-aware tomfoolery.

Also, Steve Martin is their guest for this night that was taped as a special.

Sounds pretty swell, huh? Well, go watch it on Netflix as soon as you can then.

Nick Kroll and John Mulaney have taken their characters, Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland, to a proverbial mountaintop. From sketches to the hallowed streets of NYC’s Broadway, Faizon and St. Geegland have slyly goofed their way to the brightest spotlight.

Now, for all of us who can’t get tickets to anything on Broadway, we’ll get to see just how much they went overboard with the tuna in their Netflix special, “Oh, Hello Broadway”.

Here’s the trailer to whet your appetite.

Look for the special to start streaming next Tuesday, June 13th on Netflix.

Nick Kroll and John Mulaney as Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland took a break from their Oh, Hello run on Broadway and had to make a trip uptown to Harlem to see Conan O’Brien during his visit to NYC.

You can see why Conan has said of Oh, Hello, “Seen the show twice and it’s so funny it angers me.

Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland Take Over Late Night with Seth Meyers and Do Their Own Show ‘Too Much Tuna’

Nick Kroll and John Mulaney Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland got their latest late night appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. With not only a late night talk show at their disposal, but a theatre in our nation’s capitol as well, Gil and George opted to do one more round of their beloved prank/chat show Too Much Tuna.

Basically, they hijacked Meyers show and had Meyers as a guest and had the sort of fun that they do at their Oh, Hello show.

Also, they explained, in the actual televised interview where they were the guests, how their show pays “hompage” to Broadway.

We’re guessing that Mulaney and Kroll could do these characters on Broadway for as long as they desire.

Jon Hamm and John Slattery Listed as Understudies for Nick Kroll and John Mulaney’s “Oh, Hello”

It looks like Kroll and Mulaney made sure to make every single square inch of their Broadway run funny.

In the programs for Oh, Hello on Broadway, both John Slattery and Jon Hamm are actually listed in the programs as the understudies for Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland played by Nick Kroll and John Mulaney respectively. Leave it to Kroll and Mulaney to find some “suitable” understudies.

Slattery and Hamm have yet to really step in for a night of Oh, Hello. Also, it’s hard to imagine anyone inhabiting the roles of Gil and George, but imagining Slattery and Hamm doing Too Much Tuna is pretty adorable.

As Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland are about to take on Broadway, their real life counterparts Nick Kroll and John Mulaney went on The Tonight Show and explained to Jimmy Fallon and the rest of the country what’s at the core of both Faizon and St. Geegland and why they’re doing Oh, Hello.

Of course, Kroll and Mulaney have fun with it, especially in NBC Experience Store attire.

Gil Faizon and George St. Geelgand/Nick Kroll and John Mulaney dug through an archive of Kroll Show and found a gem of an episode from their Too Much Tuna prank show featuring the one and only Paul Feig.

It turns out that it doesn’t matter if you know it’s too much tuna or not. It’s still too much tuna.

Watch it here.

All that wishing and hoping is working apparently.

John Mulaney and Nick Kroll Held an “Oh, Hello” Press Conference as George St. Geegland and Gil Faizon

Odds are that this is the closest you’ll get to seeing Oh, Hello for awhile.

Just as an off-Broadway show, Oh, Hello, with John Mulaney and Nick Kroll as the two mischievous geriatric New Yorkers, has done quite well in its run selling out both at The Cherry Lane Theatre and doing the same at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre.

With all their success, Mulaney and—, St. Geegland and Faizon we should say, taped an entire press conference, which is probably as good as any teaser we could have gotten for the show.

You can catch a solid 5 minutes and change of it here and then watch the whole thing streamed live at MNN on Tues. Dec. 29th 5PM PST and Wed. Dec. 30th at 7PM PST.

John Mulaney and Nick Kroll Go on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” as George St. Geegland and Gil Faizon

John Mulaney and Nick Kroll are keeping some of The Kroll Show’s most enduring characters, George St. Geegland and Gil Faizon, going, which is really a pretty great gift to us all.

Not only do they have an acclaimed off-Broadway show “Oh Hello” running at The Cherry Lane Theatre, but they made probably one of the most memorable late night appearances this year.

Fully in costume and character, St. Geegland and Faizon chatted with Seth Meyers on Late Night and Meyers could barely keep a straight face through the whole conversation.

For those of us unable to see Oh, Hello, for now, this is the next best thing.
