If you haven’t been, The Left Bank is a really lovely vintage store that happens to have a very charming comedy show.
Also, this weekend will be another chance to see Natasha Leggero and Moshe Kasher before they tape their Netflix special.

Michelle Wolf has made herself stand out during her tenure on The Daily Show with the same sort of attitude that fuels her stand-up.
That’s undoubtedly part of why she’s next in line for a HBO comedy special. See for yourself in a teaser for Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady here.
Then, look for its premiere on Saturday, December 2nd at 9PM on HBO.

The OC’s newest comedy club, The Rec Room in Huntington Beach (7227 Edinger Ave., Huntington Beach, CA) is having us here at The Comedy Bureau take over for a night!
So, we’re bringing some of our favorite comedians up from LA for a night where it’s bureau-mandated that you have fun.
Officially joining us will be:
Sara Schaefer (she’s won Emmys)
Chris Fleming (you might have gone and binged watched the web series Gayle)
Catherine Christina Martinez (is successfully bridging the worlds of art and comedy with Aesthetical Relations)
Also, TCB staffer/creator/director Jake Kroeger will be hosting for the evening.
Tickets are $15 with a two-item minimum. Please get them here.
Whether you’re in the Orange County or just somewhat close to the OC or maybe just up here in LA looking for a comedy show from us, you need to go to this and are required to have a good time (we all need a “good time” right now anyway).
Seems like the very positive murmurs from the film festival circuit about Greta Gerwig’s indie comedy-of-age dramedy starring Saoirse Ronan are true.
On a weekend where Thor: Ragnarok took in a massive haul, Lady Bird scored the best limited theatrical release for 2017, which we can only hope means that the film will follow a similar path to The Big Sick (i.e. great reviews and high $-per-screen average will lead to great box office nationwide).
Look for Lady Bird to play in more theaters in the coming weeks leading up to said nationwide expansion.
After the announced shuddering of Seeso, the fate of the Paul Reiser and David Gordon Green-produced series, There’s… Johnny really seemed to hang in the balance.
Fortunately, Hulu stepped in and will be streaming the show on their platform starting Thursday, November 16th.
There’s… Johnny focuses on the behind the scenes happenings at The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and even uses actual Tonight Show footage. If you’ve been on board for I’m Dying Up Here, this will be another look into comedy in the 70s that you might enjoy.
See for yourself with the first full trailer here.
In preparation for what should be a taping of a wonderful special, Natasha Leggero and Moshe Kasher are doing dates all around LA together as part of their “Honeymoon Tour”.

UCB Franklin Wed. 11/15 8PM $7

Tonight, Frankie Shaw’s series SMILF, based on a fantastic short film of the same name, premieres on Showtime at 10PM.
If you just so happen to not have Showtime, the premium cable network was nice enough to put the series premiere episode up in full over at YouTube.
Stream it here.
If you are a USC student, faculty, or alumni (or have a good friend of family member of yours that is similarly identified by the University of Southern California), you could potentially go watch Jessica Williams live for FREE this coming Monday night, courtesy of USC Speakers Committee & USC Political Student Assembly.
You can RSVP for the event w/aforementioned USC affiliation and can take one non-USC guest, but that does not guarantee admission. There will be a first come, first served line organized by RSVP guests, then a stand-by line.

Two of the best shows next week will be a special, intimate evening on 11/10 that the one and only Todd Glass has put together (complete with live band and special guests) at The Hollywood Improv Comedy Lab and, of course, Hot Tub at The Virgil on 11/6.
If you wanna go (and we’re pretty sure you do), you can win free tickets courtesy of us here: http://thecomedybureau.dola.com/giveaways.
If you really want to go and don’t want to chance winning tickets, you can buy tickets for Todd Glass here and Hot Tub here.

Hopefully, you’ve seen Joel Kim Booster kill it on Conan or with his Comedy Central half-hour stand-up special so you’d know that his full hour on his new album Model Minority is well worth your time.
Booster gets to really let his sharp, rapscallion humor shine on this album. That adds some extra sheen on the deeper dive into his personal story of being an adopted Korean baby to a religious Midwestern family that was a gay man waiting to be a comedian that people ought to really know.
You can now get Joel Kim Booster’s Model Minority off of iTunes here.
Taking cues from the wildly popular nature docu-series Planet Earth (or really any sort of nature documentary), comedian/actor/writer/explorer Chris Fleming has taken it upon himself to see this world from yet “another angle”.
Take a look at “species” in their “natural habitat” that only Fleming can show us on his series Unspeakable Earth.
Tom Segura is playing The Wiltern as a stop on his No Teeth No Entry Tour on Saturday, November 25th at 8PM.
You ought to know that Tom is one of the best comedic storytellers around and his observations that accompany that are so damn funny. Tickets are going for $25-$35 and you can (and should) get them here.

Beth Stelling has a million dollar smile and a warm and inviting personality to match. Additionally, she has jokes and stories that are as sharp as they are charming.
Please watch her set and have your day go a little bit better here.
The President Show, Drunk History, and The Daily Show to Have Holiday Specials
More specifically…
Because one of Drunk History’s most beloved episodes focused on Christmas and The President Show handled Halloween pretty well (in addition to the whole show being one of the best comedic takes on Trump, end of discussion), we’re actually looking forward to these specials.
This week, Judah Friedlander’s latest hour of stand-up dropped in the form of what looks like Netflix’s most gritty looking stand-up special yet.
America Is The Greatest Country in the U.S., like Dave Attell’s Road Work, is a compilation of several different performances, which gives you a true sense of what watching Friedlander on any given night might be like. You can see his cool wits about him over a plethora of nights pre- and post- 2016 election as he exquisitely does crowd work in NYC’s hallowed comedy club, The Comedy Cellar.
The thesis suggested by the title allows for Judah to satirically point out what makes America #1, spinning our issues of gun control, healthcare, immigration, etc. into positives. Taping it at The Comedy Cellar also brings in a very diverse crowd, often a bunch of international tourists that Judah uses to his advantage when pointing out “why” America, once again, is the best. That being said, Judah does have a few choice digs against Trump that don’t quite break from the premise.
So, when get you chance, be a patriot for once and give Judah Friedlander: America Is The Greatest Country in the United States a watch.
For years, Sean Tejaratchi has made some of best and funniest satirical art and design around via his blog, LiarTownUSA.
This book release event will not only give you a chance to celebrate his body of work, but you’ll actually get to to meet Tejaratchi in person. So, don’t miss out.

With a Comedy Central half-hour special having just aired last month and the release of his splendid album Model Minority coming up this week, Joel Kim Booster shows why he’s on such a hot streak with his latest Conan set.
Watch and enjoy it here.
It is just the first, full trailer for I, Tonya, but Margot Robbie and Allison Janney shine pretty damn bright in the dark comedy biopic of the infamous figure skater Tonya Harding in the less than 2 and ½ minutes of said trailer. We probably won’t be surprised to see any sort of awards buzz.
See for yourself here.

Sure, Halloween’s over.
However, that doesn’t mean the demons haunting Stan and company in Stan Against Evil are taking several months off.
Tonight, they’re just getting back into the groove of things as season 2 kicks off at 10PM on IFC.
New Baskets will be coming soon, but, in the meantime, you can just watch this on repeat.
Leaving LA or no, any chance you can get to see international comedy and music sensation Tim Minchin should not be passed up.
Tickets for his Wiltern show this month are going for $35-$40. Please get them here.

We gave you heads up about this pretty unbelievable comedy charity benefit for the International Myeloma Foundation several weeks ago. Just read that line-up* a few times over before you realize that they’re all on one show.

However, through the promo code “Final50″, you can get orchestra seating tickets for $50 here.
Beyond that, for you, our TCB loyal, we’ve got a few pairs of tickets to giveaway. You can enter to win here: http://thecomedybureau.dola.com/giveaways.
