Here’s a Swell Promo for Season 3 of “Baskets” to Put a Smile on Your Face
New Baskets will be coming soon, but, in the meantime, you can just watch this on repeat.
New Baskets will be coming soon, but, in the meantime, you can just watch this on repeat.
From the humblest of beginnings, The Chris Gethard Show has made it to its 3rd season as a full fledged TV show on cable television while circling back to its devil may care, public access roots by broadcasting completely live (w/10 second delay).
Hopefully, you’ll get a sense of the beautifully controlled chaos that Gethard wrangles for his show and definitely see way more risks be taken than what happens on SNL.
One of the more exciting things, for us (and hopefully for you), coming to TBS soon is the new eponymous TV series from The Dress Up Gang.
If you’re a long time fan, this teaser for the TBS series is the newest bit of Dress Up Gang that has been dropped in quite some time. If you’re new to them, please enjoy this little morsel that captures what they do pretty well.
In either case, it’s pretty swell to see TBS is continuing to put money down on their off-kilter brand of comedy.
With the fate of the White House Correspondents Dinner undecided a few months back, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee announced that they’ll be doing their own special that evening that would assure the Trump Administration would get their due that night.
Coined as “Not The White House Correspondents Dinner”, you can see what Sam Bee and company have in store with this promo released this week.
As announced today, Hasan Minhaj will be hosting this year’s actual White House Correspondents Dinner. So, you can actually pick between a current and former Daily Show correspondent and their televised special event on Saturday, April 29th.
As Trump isn’t attending because he ostensibly doesn’t want his feelings hurt to his face, you have to wonder exactly how hard Sam and Hasan will go on Trump, Bannon, news outlets, etc..
They’re dropping the old men get up and will be hosting the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards as just Nick Kroll and John Mulaney. Even with the wisecracks about tuna, Kroll and Mulaney might be a damn fine hosting duo.
They definitely look up to the task in this promo.
You can catch them hosting the Spirit Awards live on IFC on Saturday, February 25th at 2PM PST.
In case you were in doubt of Doug Benson making court decisions on actual cases while being, per usual, high, here’s a teaser for the upcoming Comedy Central series The High Court to reassure you that this really happened.
If you look closely, you’ll note that Michael Ian Black, Jessimae Peluso, and Reggie Watts are all guest bailiffs in Benson’s High Court that are also pretty baked as well.
Look for the series premiere of High Court on Monday, February 27th on Comedy Central.
Thursday, February 9th at 10PM, CNN will be taking a break from going toe-to-toe with the POTUS and delving into the comedy through scores of years in America in a new TV special, The History of Comedy.
Also, Larry David will be one of many people weighing in. As you can see in this promo, he’s sure to be a delight.
John Oliver and his crack staff at Last Week Tonight couldn’t come back sooner this year.
However, we have a few more weeks before Oliver takes up his desk behind one of the best satirical news shows ever on television. Season 4 of Last Week Tonight premieres on Sunday, February 12th at 11PM.
While we won’t have an episode of Last Week Tonight commenting on the inauguration of Trump right after it happens, Oliver made a great teaser (some might say pretty, pretty good) to tide us over in the meantime.
This is Dave Chappelle’s most prominent TV appearance, especially given the weight of comedian hosts on Saturday Night Live, since, well, you know, Chappelle’s Show went off the air the way that it did.
Knowing that, here’s the promo that “makes it seem” like Dave will be there.
If you take into account people’s focus on SNL in this election year, the election results, Chappelle’s relative absence on TV, A Tribe Called Quest being the musical guest, it might be an important episode of SNL to watch.
The gang is at it again.
Mayhem from four deplorable people, each in their special, unique, charming way, return to Paddy’s in Philly once more.
See what’s exactly in store for January when It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns.
Having your own face on a billboard, especially on the legendary Sunset Strip in WeHo, is quite the milestone for any entertainer.
That’s why Mo Mandel wanted to make a promo for his brand new stand-up special Negative Reinforcement, which started streaming on Seeso this week, showing off his visage on the heart of The Sunset Strip.
However, you should know that the ad for Mo’s special is on a digital billboard that rotates through a cycle of plenty of other ads. He still gave a shot at making a promo anyway.
Oh, also, you should go watch Negative Reinforcement on Seeso since Mo is pretty damn funny as shown in these clips of said special.
For this TV special, Bert Kreischer is in the relative safety of stage at a theater during a stand-up taping as opposed all the other crazy things that reality TV has made him do.
That being said, he stays on brand in this promo with taking his shirt off.
Bert Kreishcher: The Machine premieres on Showtime on Friday, November 11th.
The Strain, the apocalyptic vampire series that drew criticism right out of the gate for its graphic billboards, is coming up to the premiere of its 3rd season and is trying its hand at a comedic promo.
While the controversy of creatures coming out of eyes proved fruitful for the show, this Stirgoi, the vampires in The Strain, recruitment video has us a little more on board (for the show, not becoming a vampire).
The Roast of Rob Lowe is set to premiere on Monday, September 5th on Comedy Central.
If there’s indication of how game for this roast Rob is, it should be this very first promo with Rob’s roastmaster, David Spade.
Issa Rae’s Insecure is set to premiere on Sunday, October 9th at 10:30PM on HBO and this new promo shows a whole other set of Rae’s charming insecurities.
Possibly, you’ll be watching HBO on Sundays again even though Game of Thrones is gone for awhile?
Mini vans and the traditional nuclear family beware, season 3 of You’re The Worst is coming August 31st.
Everyone else, enjoy this promo.
In the absence of Louie, FX has filled that void pretty well with Baskets, the upcoming Better Things, and the also upcoming Atlanta from Donald Glover.
So far, this is the longest promo yet for Atlanta, but gives the best indication of the tone you should expect from the show that has been waiting a long time to come to TV.
Look for the series premiere on Thursday, September 8th on FX.
For the last few years, Donald Glover has been tinkering with a show mysteriously known as Atlanta. Any sort of previews, teaser, clips, etc. have been scarce and all anyone really knew about it was that it would be a dramedy set in Atlanta’s thriving rap scene.
Well, as the show now has its sights set on a September premiere on FX, the veil has been lifted a little with the very first promo has just been posted online.
The story of Atlanta will follow Donald Glover as one of two cousins making their way up through the aforementioned rap scene in Atlanta. The promo doesn’t really reveal much else, but definitely sets a tone not unlike FX’s Louie.
It’s rare that wordplay is used to such an absurd and amazing degree, but Angie Tribeca always doubles down on its own silliness.
Season 2, which premieres on Monday, June 6th, will be definitely heading further in that direction.
Just look at the latest promo.
Samantha Bee is already off and running with Full Frontal and now her husband Jason Jones is getting ready to launch the TBS series that he’s starring in, The Detour. The show promises a family vacation that takes a dark turn, though under much suspicious circumstances than the National Lampoon Vacation movies, and lets chaos reign.
This promo probably just scratches the surface for how bad this family vacation. The Detour premieres on TBS on Mon. Apr. 11th.
The Duplass Brothers’ Togetherness is pretty much everything you would want from a TV show from Jay and Mark Duplass in how they unflinchingly explore the real and comedic tension of everyday life.
From the looks of this promo, Season 2 will be doubling down on that notion.
Catch the season premiere on Sun. Feb. 21st at 10:30PM on HBO.
On Sept. 27th, we get to follow Phil and Carol as a few of the last people on earth as Last Man on Earth returns for its second season.
In fact, you can see what the two are up to, specifically what Phil will be running into in this first promo.
Why? is Hannibal Buress’ first show that he’s the sole star of. As such, he wants to do everyone on his show to give everything they’ve got to make the best show possible.
Apparently, that includes wearing Hawaiian shirts and Hannibal isn’t afraid to enforce that policy.
Watch what happens in this new promo for Why? premiering July 8th at 10:30PM on Comedy Central.
NBC has done well to give one-man-show-spectacular Neil Patrick Harris his own variety show.
As you can clearly see in this brief promo, NPH will have bits, numbers, and more in his series set to premiere this fall.
Well, he’ll have as much as he can before they run out of airtime.
The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore is coming next week Mon. Jan. 19th and the crew is working hard to make it to the premiere date.
Apparently, according to this promo featuring Sean Donnelly, they’re working really hard. Maybe too hard?
