If you’ve had a fictional diner conversation imagined between Jay Larson, Rory Scovel, and Al Madrigal on the subject of a significant other’s ex-boyfriend, we’re guessing it might be something like the latest short of Larson’s Diner series.

You are spending your free time imagining such things, right?

“Vice Principals” Is Self-Cancelling After Two Seasons on HBO

(via Variety)

All 18 episodes have been written and shot already.

Originally, Vice Principals was written as a long movie that got made even longer and then chopped up into just two seasons that will air by Danny McBride and Jody Hill. In this way, McBride and Hill got to tell the story they wanted to tell on their terms with very little meddling from HBO.

That’s faith from a network that believes that McBride, Hill, and EP/director David Gordon Green will probably make something else great not too long after Vice Principals ends and, with the freedom they’ve been granted, will look to HBO first.

Yes, that includes all episodes of all past four seasons.

Billy Eichner’s manic style of hosting his show Billy on the Street is undeniably infectious and lends very well to binge watching. Before his TV show, Eichner went viral with his videos, so it’s only natural that the archive of Billy on the Street, the TV series, would find its way online.

Starting Sunday, July 10th, all past four seasons of Billy on the Street will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu. Season five will also stream as soon as the season finishes airing on TruTV.

Prepare to see as much of Billy screaming and running as you can handle.

Most of late night is off this week, which is unfortunate as the insanity in this country and around the world has not taken a break.

Alton Sterling is sadly another name in the increasing tension between black people and cops as his killing appears to be one of the most horrific yet.

The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore was one of the few late night shows that didn’t take this week off and definitely said their piece about it as only comedy can.

You should watch it here.

In the absence of Louie, FX has filled that void pretty well with Baskets, the upcoming Better Things, and the also upcoming Atlanta from Donald Glover.

So far, this is the longest promo yet for Atlanta, but gives the best indication of the tone you should expect from the show that has been waiting a long time to come to TV.

Look for the series premiere on Thursday, September 8th on FX.

The TV adaptation Ash vs Evil Dead might be one of the more successful film franchise-to-TV series adaptation that’s ever been seen.

So far, the first season was a great start and the teaser for season 2 looks like it’ll be headed further into the blood, guts, firepower, and one liners that fans, both old and new, have come to love.

Look for the premiere of season 2 of Ash vs. Evil Dead on Starz in October.

(via Deadline)

You’ll be treated to the stand-up of Cameron Esposito, Eugene Mirman, Janeane Garofalo, Beth Stelling, Aparna Nancherla, Kurt Metzger, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Liza Treyger, the Lucas Brothers, Byron Bowers, Sean Patton, Sam Morril, James Davis, Ian Abramson, Sean Donnelly, Thomas Dale, Ahmed Bharoocha and Emo Philips.

Part of a great comedy cultural exchange between the U.S. and Canada comes around during the JFL Montreal Comedy Festival when JFL also shoots their stand-up showcase series, Funny as Hell.

As past episodes have been streamed plenty on Seeso, Seeso has opted to make the series more known in the States, especially because of its heavy use of U.S. talent, to order a sixth season that’ll offered on NBC’s comedy streaming service.

There will be more names that’ll be added to the series during the festival, but that line-up alone is reason enough to go watch it.

Ron Babcock’s Death Reel Really Shows Off His ‘Dying Range’

When it comes to making in “the biz” as talent, you often have to have some sort of reel. For actors, it’s very common to have a reel for commercial, drama, comedy, characters, stunts, etc.

What’s probably not seen enough in these reels is the skill of portraying the act of death on screen.

Luckily, Ron Babcock made a “death reel” to make fun of the inevitability of death and how uncomfortable we are in talking about it start exploring this unexplored niche and get in on work that other actors are probably stupidly missing out on.

Jeff Wysaski, AKA Obvious Plant, Left Some “Alternative” Animal Facts Signs in The Los Angeles Zoo

If you happen to be at the LA Zoo over this 4th of July weekend, you might have stumbled across some animal facts signs that looked legit, but, upon further investigation, are suspect, but also pretty funny.

This sign above and many others were the work of Jeff Wysaski, who goes by Obvious Plant here on Tumblr. Wysaski apparently planted these around the park when no one was looking and the signs were left up long enough for real folks to delight in and snap a picture of it.

Needless to say, but we’d like to see more of this around LA please.
