Just a few days from now, on 4/20, Virtual Rick-ality will bring that VR experience to HTC Vive and Oculus.

Here’s the teensiest preview in this teaser that should get you hyped for this even if you’ve been skeptical of VR over the years.

The word “trippy” probably won’t be sufficient in describing whatever happens with this.

That’s right; the co-creator of Rick & Morty and one-man comedy/music extravaganza Reggie Watts will not only be going live in AltspaceVR on Wednesday, October 26th at 8PM PDT/5PM EST, but they will be doing what will probably be the most otherworldly talk show ever.

That’s all the details that have been released for now, but know that you’ll be able to watch the ‘fireside talk show’ (maybe it’ll be next to the Sun in VR?) on Samsung Gear VR, Rift & Vive, as well as your traditional desktop/laptop computer.

‘The Simpsons Are Making a VR Couch Gag for 600th Episode

The beginning of this year’s Simpsons Treehouse of Horror, which will be the 600th episode of the show, will be kicked off by a couch gag entitled “Planet of the Couches”. It’ll be available to watch in Google Cardboard and in 360 in Google Spotlight Stories (just in case you don’t want to wear a VR headset).

That episode will air on Sunday, October 16th.

It’ll probably feel like that one time when Homer found his way into our dimension as a cartoon wandering around our reality.

You probably already know this, but VR is coming back in a big way.

As the technology is being made more and more readily accessible to everyone with a smartphone, more and more folks are finding different ways to utilize it.

For Funny or Die, they decided to use VR in a classic good cop/bad cop scenario played out beautifully by Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer.

You can watch the 2D version here or the 3D Google Cardboard version here and enjoy being accused of a crime that you didn’t (or did?) commit.

…or, knowing Reggie, it might as well be a whole new dimension.

As part of AltspaceVR’s push towards inclusive interactive virtual reality, Reggie Watts will be performing via an avatar in a digital space at 8PM PDT.

It might just be a little like a real life version of Creative Control where Reggie appears in an “Augmented Reality” headset.

They’d like it to be the largest attended VR event ever and since you can watch it on your laptop on top of Samsung Gear VR, Rift, or Vive, that might just happen.

Get more details, download AltspaceVR app, and more here.

Sometime in the last millennia, most movies not only had a big soundtrack full of licensed songs (some of which weren’t even in the movie), but they also had an original song that had an accompanying music video, specifically tied into the movie.

Well, leave it to Reggie Watts to make that something worth watching again as he has just made such a music video for the virtual reality dramedy from Amazon Studios, Creative Control.

It should also be noted that Watts is probably the best person to make up a song about VR.

Watch it here.

Enjoy/try not being introspective about life for a few minutes by watching Passport to Adventure with Amanda Lund here.
