For this TV special, Bert Kreischer is in the relative safety of stage at a theater during a stand-up taping as opposed all the other crazy things that reality TV has made him do.
That being said, he stays on brand in this promo with taking his shirt off.
Bert Kreishcher: The Machine premieres on Showtime on Friday, November 11th.
Midnight on Comedy Central.
The latest hour of stand-up to come from the one of the best comedians of our time, Kyle Kinane, is having its world premiere tonight. So, wherever you are, we’d hope that you tune in because Kinane’s stand-up is probably better than whatever else you have going on.

When it comes to craftsmanship and execution in comedy, it doesn’t get much better than Ahmed Bharoocha.
His observational humor is on par with the best in history as he breaks down complex, multi-faceted subjects like religion and war with simple and beautiful metaphors and packs all of that into finely constructed jokes that seem to kill in front every audience he’s in front of. He also is able to deliver those jokes as if he’s delivering them for the first time, which is probably one of the hardest things to do in stand-up comedy.
Bharoocha shows off all these qualities on his first album, Almond Badoody, which, by the way, flows so well that you might wonder if it really is his first album or if it’s his third or fourth.
It really is his debut album and you can (and should) get it right here.
This week’s pairing of Comedy Central’s The Half Hour brings 22-23 minutes of heat from Naomi Ekperigin, who might have recently seen on Late Night, and Ahmed Bharoocha who has been one of our favorites for awhile now.
You can catch their half hours respectively at 12AM and 12:30AM tonight on Comedy Central.
Here’s this Ekperigin bit on becoming a Jewish wife if you’re still undecided with your plans tonight.
Tickets are $5 and you can (and should) get them here.

You might know Brooke Van Poppelen from her charming co-hosting gig on Hack My Life or her appearances on @midnight. However, you should also be acquainted with her very own comedy as she is quite the stand-up.
By the time this debut album was recorded, Brooke has successfully planted herself as a comedian in all three of America’s big stand-up comedy hubs, LA, NYC, and Chicago. Her experience shows in her effortless stage presence and charisma in this debut album, Hard Feelings, making for a jolly ride through her set.
Also, it’s yet another solid release from Sure Thing Records out of Austin, TX.

Chris Rock Will Do Two Comedy Specials at Netflix for $40 Million
How often will Netflix be outspending HBO?
When it comes to Chris Rock comedy specials, it almost went without saying that HBO was the place that it would be.
That all changed today with Rock reportedly getting a $40 million deal for two comedy specials.
The times have indeed changed and Netflix not only is gaining in on HBO prestige with their increasing number of critically acclaimed and award winning series and specials, but it seems like they’ve got the money to keep this pace up.
This deal puts Rock on the Forbes list for top earning comedians for the next two years by the way.
Above all, we’re happy to hear that the latest stand-up from Chris Rock will be two new hours rather than just a host monologue or a couple of minutes as an awards show presenter.
This hour from the razor sharp Jena Friedman has toured the globe and Seeso has sagaciously made this into their latest comedy special.
Here’s a trailer for the wonderfully titled American C*nt.
Look for it to start streaming on Seeso next week on Thursday, October 20th.
Joe DeRosa Is Taping His Comedy Central Hour Special at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery Tomorrow
It’s free to go and you won’t have to be worrying about hearing the sound of an outdoor movie.
Oh, also, Joe DeRosa is so damn hysterical and you absolutely shouldn’t miss him taping an hour long comedy special.
There is a taping at 7:30PM and 9:30PM and you can reserve your tickets at the link above.
It’s a wonderful time of a year anytime that a new hour of stand-up comedy from Kyle Kinane is set to come out. Fortunately, his latest special, Loose in Chicago, is set for its premiere this Saturday at midnight on Comedy Central.
There is still the majority of the week to get through before then, so here are three whole preview clips, one video and two audio (via The Laugh Button) that will see you through until Saturday night. Bits on the whitest thing he’s ever said, gun control, and testing people’s morality are, as you might suspect, pretty damn great.
Of the great comedians of this era that will stand the test of time, we believe Kyle Kinane will absolutely be on that shortlist. For years now, Kinane has proved to be consistently hysterical in new and exciting ways while still maintaining a genuine sense of self the whole time.
You might not even notice his wonderful command of the English language and his inclusive perspective as he subtly works them into his jokes about late night food and having a good time, but that’s part of what makes his comedy so damn good.
With that said, watch his latest set on Conan where he puts on another stand-up clinic here.
That’s right Comedy Central has a feature length film’s worth of stand-up tonight as two episodes of The Half Hour will also be joined by Lewis Black’s new hour special.
Specifically, the three specials will premiere on Comedy Central as follows:
Lewis Black: Black to the Future 10PM
The Half Hour: Mike Recine 12AM
The Half Hour: Jacqueline Novak 12:30AM
If you want a bit of a preview of each special, here’s Jacqueline dissecting the idea of “apple women”, Lewis Black talking about the unbelievable notion that some people won’t be voting next month, and Mike wondering about the absence of songs about fighting couples being mistaken.
If you’re one of readers/followers, you are probably well aware of and love Eliza Skinner.
As such, you should enjoy her killing it during her set on last night’s Late Late Show with James Corden. If Eliza Skinner is somehow a new name to you here, relish in discovering her comedy with the aforementioned great performance.
Watch her set here.

Open Mic Run Updated for Next Week 10/3/16
The return of Coffee + Food, plenty of stand-up, sketch open mics, and improv jams.
If you’re not acquainted with the comedy of Naomi Ekperigin, let this set on last night’s Late Night with Seth Meyers be a marvelous introduction.
Her presence, persona, cadence, and delivery are a joy on their own to watch.

This week’s edition of Comedy Central’s The Half Hour features half hour stand-up specials from Nick Turner and Martha Kelly.
Specifically, it’ll be Martha’s special at 12AM and Nick’s at 12:30AM tonight on Comedy Central.
We’re not sure if this was done intentionally or not, but Nick’s preview clip deals with one dog and Martha’s deals with four cats and one dog. Is it forecasting a sort of raining cats and dogs jokes? Guess you’ll have to tune in tonight to find out.

When it comes to comedians having their act feel tight, Nick Turner ranks pretty high on that list. What’s especially impressive about Nick’s stand-up being well-crafted is that he really doesn’t rely on one-liners, which does lend itself to that comedic efficiency more easily.
Instead, Turner has extended bits that feel loose, but have been carefully honed. Some of them jovially oscillate back and forth between truth and utter silliness and even in front of and behind the fourth wall. His debut album Yelling, preceding his upcoming half hour special on Comedy Central, is a great display of all of Turner’s comedic prowess at work.
The album comes out September 30th (that’s probably tomorrow if you’re reading this as soon as we posted it), but we say that you should go ahead and pre-order Yelling here.
Funny Women Fest LA Is Taking Submissions Until October 14th
The festival is set to take place in Highland Park on Thursday, November 30th through Saturday, December 3rd and will help benefit the Downtown Women’s Center.
They’re looking for female performers in stand-up, sketch, improv, storytelling, musical comedy, sketch, short film, and pilot scripts. Fees range from $20-$50 depending on whether you’re submitting as an individual or a group.
That’s not a pretty good deal especially considering you’re helping an LA foundation that deals with women overcoming homelessness.
Again, the submission deadline is Friday, October 14th, 2016 at midnight.
The live animated comedy show, Picture This!, is back. Get more details here.

It’s really happening. The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail is coming towards singing its swan song. The live weekly show ends next month and the third and final TV version of the show kicks off tonight on Comedy Central.
For our money, it’s one of the few comedy shows that didn’t really get lost in translation when going from live show to TV series. You got a sense of the rollicking, magical fun that the Jonah Ray, Kumail Nanjiani, The Meltdown crew, comedians, and audience had every week for over half a decade.
You can feel it in Jonah making fun of Kumail’s shirt at the top of the show.
So, with that said, don’t miss the season 3 premiere at midnight tonight.
While Colbert certainly brought the goods in breaking down the debate, NYC’s Emma Willmann also had a great night in her very first stand-up performance on network television. That’s especially impressive given that last night’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was completely live.
Watch her set and see for yourself here.
This is in addition to upcoming specials that have already been announced for Deon Cole, Dan Soder, Kyle Kinane, Big Jay Oakerson, Jordan Klepper, Trevor Moore, and Pete Davidson.
Comedy Central has got the next several months of stand-up specials lined up
Lewis Black’s Black to the Future is actually being taped tonight and will premiere next month on Friday, October 7th.
The hour specials from Mark Normand (which will be presented by Amy Schumer) and Roy Wood Jr. are set to premiere in 2017.
Looking at this slate of specials, has to wonder if there’s another special from Bridget Everett, Nikki Glaser, etc. in the works over at Comedy Central.
