Few comedy shows party quite as hard as Late Late Breakfast with hosts Danny Maupin and Tyler Jackson and that’s why it’s special the few times that they come around to LA every year.

This Saturday, October 6th is one of those special days where uber-silly challenges meet stand-up during “late late breakfast” (that would make it “late brunch” hours too, we guess?).

Debra DiGiovanni, Kara Klenk, Jordan Doll, Phoebe Bottoms, Simon Gibson, Amy Silverberg, Langston Kerman, Will Miles, Sasheer Zamata, and Jackie Kashian will all be joining in the controlled chaos at 5PM (doors open at 4PM if you want to get a good seat) at Silverlake Lounge (2906 W Sunset Blvd).

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. Get more details here.

The spooky month October is just around the corner and a great way to join in the spirit is going to Chicago’s favorite horror comedy music extravaganza lovingly known as HELLTRAP NIGHTMARE.

We had such a blast the last time they (Sarah Squirm, the Shrimp Boys, Scott Egleston, and Ruby McCollister) were in town that we’d highly urge you to dare to enter the HELLTRAP NIGHTMARE on one of their two dates at the Lyric Hyperion coming up. Music from bands Vail and Mood Killer will be featured!

Rather than go on dating apps to try and solve this remedy, he’s going to do the next best thing by taking an entire audience on a date at the Lyric Hyperion in Silverlake that also doubles a live comedy show (that’s the next best thing, right?).

If you’re in on this because you have a crush on Jake or just want to give a desperate person some acceptance and validation, you should go get your tickets here.

Lindsay is doing a very special edition of her show this month that ups the ante of performers sharing personal diaries entries by getting them “baked” before they take the stage. Given the penchant for reboots, revivals, etc. these days, we’re cautious to announce any sort of “swan song”.

That being said, one of our favorite improv teams, Boss Jr. (Matt Rath, Naomi Villa, and Jake Dunnington) will be having their final show at The Clubhouse in Los Feliz next Wednesday, September 5th around 8:15PM.

Truly, we’ve enjoyed the trio get weird, go deep, and still keep an air of silliness abound and the teams that they’ve booked over the years on their nice and tight improv showcase.

So, join them for what will be (at least for the time being) one last go.
