Please Enjoy a Great, Timely Sketch with Jen Kirkman About “Bernie Bros”, The Point of Which Was Proven by Jen Being Trolled Online Before It Even Aired
On this week’s No, You Shut Up! with Paul F. Tompkins, Jen Kirkman got to do a sketch that was commenting on a specific portion of Bernie Sanders supporters that frequently engage in rather misogynistic discourse when talking about Hillary Clinton, otherwise referred to now as “Bernie Bros”.
Before this Bernie Bro Zone sketch even aired a few days ago, Jen got flack from many Bernie Bros, on top of her usual collection of Internet trolls, for just screen shots of said sketch.
This lead to both having to vigorously defend her position on the matter as well as an extended row of retweets by Jen highlighting the unfortunate way Clinton is talked about, which is many times adjacent to how Trump talks about other candidates in general.
Just look at Jen’s timeline on Twitter and you’ll go down a rabbit hole you didn’t know that went that far.
Though some may unfortunately not realize this, the backlash sort of proves Jen’s point that she made in the Bernie Bro Zone in the first place.
ABC Developing a Single Camera Comedy Pilot Written Jen Kirkman and Dan Bucatinsky
(via Deadline)
Jen Kirkman co-writing an “…untitled comedy revolves around four women friends rattled by a fortysomething feeling of irrelevance who embark on a mission to turn their invisibility into invincibility.” is all good by us.
ABC’s comedy development slate for this pilot season just got a whole lot more interesting with the addition of this project following women like Kirkman making their way through the world on their terms despite all the societal forces working against them. Familiarize yourself with Jen’s stand-up, books, and podcast if you’re not already familiar.
Jen is writing it with Dan Bucatinsky who you’ve probably seen work on- and behind-the-scenes of the comeback of The Comeback.
It has a put pilot commitment, so let’s cross our fingers even more that it tips the scales of being picked up to series.

Jen Kirkman Does an Interview With An Electric Toothbrush So She Can Stop Answering The Same Dull Questions in Future Interviews
If you read a bunch of interviews of comedians, or interviews of anyone in entertainment really,, you’ll find that people often ask the same questions and the results are often pretty drab.
Jen Kirkman is hopefully putting a stop to that.
In an interview with an electric toothbrush she is holding, Jen answers the same rote questions she gets in most interviews with the goal that she’ll never be asked them again.
Whether it be some question about being a woman in comedy or Bill Cobsy, you can get your definitive answers here one last time from Jen and her toothbrush.
We sincerely hope this becomes a trend as most interviews, especially on blogs and at press junkets, fall into the same trap of being uninteresting.

Jen Kirkman Returns to Drunk History Once More to Tell the Story of Edith Wilson
There was a period during President Woodrow Wilson’s administration where he fell so ill that his wife, Edith Wilson, effectively took over much of his day-to-day responsibilities, even when it required dealing with Congress.
Drunk History enlisted one of its best in Jen Kirkman to tell the story and Jen does not disappoint.

Jen Kirkman To Star In & Create FXx Comedy
Jen Kirkman To Star In & Create FXx Comedy
FX/FXx has found their next comedian that they want to develop a series around thankfully in Jen Kirkman. Much along the way Legit and Louie are focused on the comedy of Jim Jefferies and Louis C.K., ‘Jen’ will be seemingly very much centered on Jen Kirkman’s stand up.
It’s also good to see that FXx is keeping their development slate robost and moving. If anything, this should emphatically prove that Jen Kirkman, as her podcast suggests, is indeed fun.
