Earlier today, a mysterious link was tweeted out about a live Rick and Morty event this Thursday somewhere in the LA area. Unsurprisingly, tickets to the live event were sold out.

Fret not for those unable to get tickets or not in the LA area. The live event (though its not clear what it is outside of it involving the “Rick and Morty team”) will be live streamed on adultswim.com/streams at 6PM PST on Thursday, June 29th.

Ahead of that, all two seasons of Rick and Morty will be streamed also at adultswim.com/streams starting at 3AM PST that same day.

Don’t think so? Watch it the announcement from Adult Swim’s YouTube channel.

There have been a handful, if not a bushel full, of philosophical breakdowns and dissections of Rick and Morty. While there are often dozens of jokes a minute, existential quandaries pervade the many universes of the show.

So, series co-creator Dan Harmon sat down and gave his own personal take on what Rick and Morty says about the search for the meaning of it all. Please enjoy it here.

If there’s a thing that VR would be great for, it’d definitely be adventures in the Rick and Morty universe, or universes rather, where portal guns can you take you pretty much anywhere that Harmon and Roiland have thought up.

Just a few days from now, on 4/20, Virtual Rick-ality will bring that VR experience to HTC Vive and Oculus.

Here’s the teensiest preview in this teaser that should get you hyped for this even if you’ve been skeptical of VR over the years.

HarmonQuest Renewed for Season 2 at Seeso and Has “Uncovered” 38 Lost Scenes

Seeso, wisely we think, is staying their course of as-off-beat-as-can-be comedy programming.

Just announced today, HarmonQuest, where Dan Harmon and friends play their own humorous fantasy role playing game, just got picked up for a second season at NBC’s comedy exclusive streaming service, Seeso, for next year. On top of that, 38 additional scenes from season 1 will be coming in soon on November 3rd.

If you’re still waiting for Seeso to have enough to pay $3.99 a month for it, it’s clear that it probably surpassed that awhile ago.

YouTube Orders ‘Game Grumps’ from Dan Harmon’s Starburns Industries, a Comedy About Competitive Gaming

Whether it be network television, cable, streaming services, and now YouTube Red, Dan Harmon has almost done a show on almost every place where you can watch TV.

YouTube announced their series pick-ups today, which includes series orders of projects from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, accomplished director Doug Liman, and, most interesting to us, Harmon’s Starburns Industries.

It’ll be a scripted comedy following the players in an eSports league called Game Grumps. Perhaps, it’ll be a tinge like Rick and Morty playing Roy…

Rick and Morty is not only one of the best animated comedy series around. It’s one of the best shows on television in league with the most celebrated, decorated hour long dramas.

Sure, it’s hilarious, but Rick and Morty also uses its ultra-clever, sharp sense of humor to delve as deep into the human condition as it possibly can go. While not filled with as many dramatic moments as BoJack Horseman, creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland examine existential crises with an equally deft hand.

One Will Schoder points this out in his video essay on Rick and Morty-Finding Meaning in Life. After watching it, you might appreciate Rick and Morty even more.

“Rick and Morty” Improvised a Mini-Episode for New York Magazine

It’s apparently going to be some more time of an undetermined amount (our least favorite kind) before brand new Rick & Morty comes out.

However, creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon along with Spencer Grammer, the voice of Summer, and writer Ryan Ridley all improvised a “mini-episode” (sans animation because, well, animation takes awhile, OK?) amidst a chat with New York Magazine.

Watch and enjoy, especially Roiland effortlessly switching between the voices of both Rick and Morty, here.

For a series that really takes license with both science and history, what better way is there to bring the season to an end than having Dana Carvey play JFK and there be the threat of giant mutated spiders?

Don’t even bother thinking of an answer and just watch the season (and maybe series?) finale of Great Minds with Dan Harmon here.

Dungeons and Dragons certainly doesn’t carry the stigma that it once used to, but that doesn’t mean that making it into engaging television would be easy.

Still, Dan Harmon has, from the looks of this trailer, figured that out. First, it appeared in portions of Harmontown, and now it’s a live action-animated hybrid now known as Harmonquest.

Coming to Seeso on July 14th, Harmon and a gathering of his friends including Jeff Bryan Davis and Erin McGathy, favorite funny people including Thomas Middleditch, Paul F. Tompkins, Aubrey Plaza, Ron Funches, Steve Agee, and John Hodgman, Kumail Nanjiani, and Chelsea Peretti and Game Master Spencer Crittenden will show you how much of a rollicking, incredibly layered, and enjoyably complicated game D&D can be.
