From Jun. 25th-26th, The Smalltown Comedy Festival will bring Rory Scovel, Emily Maya Mills, Chris Garcia, Andy Haynes, Drennon Davis & Karen Kilgariff, Allen Strickland Williams, James Fritz, Richard Bain, Eric Dadourian, Casey Ley, Kevin Camia, Greg Edwards, James Austin Johnson, Christian Duguay, Caitlin Gill, Barbara Gray, Cory Loykasek, Dave Thomason, Cameron Edmonson, Ray Molina, Steve Ausberne, James Rowan, Donny Divanian to their city limits for what should be one great start to this weekend.

If you’re in or around Sonoma County, CA, put down the wine and get some at this 3rd Annual Smalltown Comedy Festival as well as enjoy some very fine comedy.

John Oliver Takes on Online Sexual Harassment of Women as Well as Makes a Great Update of an AOL Ad

The big target of Last Week Tonight was the rampant and horrifying nature of online harassment of women from doxxing to outright death and rape threats to revenge porn.

Per usual, Oliver managed to wrap it up with great jokes and a clever thing they shot, which, for this week, is an update of the original AOL ad from 2015′s perspective with the talents of Rob Huebel and Colin Hanks.

The Orchard Gets The Rights to Distribution Aside From Netflix For Seven Movies From The Duplass Brothers

Once more, there is proof of the indie empire, whether they’re aware of it or not, that Mark and Jay Duplass show are building.

The Duplass Brothers already have a four picture deal at Netflix and an overall deal at HBO. Why not get worldwide theatrical and non-online streaming distribution for seven of their movies?

The Orchard already will be releasing their swingers comedy The Overnight and will now take on six other movies from Mark and Jay to release theatrically as well as through any other media that isn’t Netflix/online streaming.

At this rate, we wouldn’t be surprised if Mark and Jay start a full fledged studio in the not so distant future.

Last Friday, President Barack Obama indeed came to Marc Maron’s garage, albeit a super safe version of Marc’s garage that was covered in pop up tents and a Secret Service detail to do an episode of WTF.

They chatted for just over around an hour in a conversation that, because it is podcasting and of the noted way that Maron conducts interviews, is more intimate and free flowing probably any interview that Obama has had. Thus, you get to go from talking about the tragedy in Charleston last week all the way to talking about Pryor and Dick Gregory.

At one time, we all thought that A Deadly Adoption might have been nixed even though it reportedly was already in the can.

Luckily, that was all a ruse and the premiere of A Deadly Adoption with Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell playing up all the Lifetime TV movie tropes is happening tonight on Lifetime at 8PM.

With both this and Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever on their resume, we’re curious to see how else Lifetime will expand and redefine their brand in the coming months.

So, after doing stand-up on The Tonight Show earlier this year, Madonna is still infatuated with the art form and will now have one of stand-up’s best and brightest right now in Amy Schumer join her on tour.

From Sept. 16th-19th, Schumer will open up all three shows in NYC on Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour. If you’re not aware, Schumer is definitely making 2015 her year with Peabodies, MTV Movie Awards, Trainwreck, and way more.

Maybe Madonna will take some cues from Schumer if she does stand-up again?

Karen Kilgariff and Drennon Davis have been two of our favorites for some time on their own, but they’ve recently joined their brilliant musical comedy stylings together and make hilarious and wondrous music together.

Now, the whole country got to see what we’ve been lucky to see for the last few months when they played an anthem for getting too high on Conan.

Definitely, in LA, you can see all four. Just check these showtimes for Dope, The Overnight, Me and Earl and The Dying Girl, and Inside Out.

If not in a major city, you’ll definitely be able to see Inside Out at the very least. Hopefully you live close to an art house/indie theater to see the rest.

Tomlin plays the titular grandmother that shepherds her granddaughter through the ordeal of unplanned pregnancy and will absolutely not put up with anyone’s BS whether it be from boys or her own daughter/the granddaughter’s mother.

Rob Zombie Developing a Groucho Marx Biopic

Yes, the House of 1000 Corpses director is moving on to less gory pastures.

There is a memoir Raised Eyebrows: My Years Inside Groucho’s House by a former assistant of the legendary Groucho Marx, Steve Stoliar. Zombie has set to adapt that book that follows Groucho’s bizarre final years through Stoliar’s eyes.

In a rare case, we have no idea what to expect here, but are thoroughly intrigued as to what Zombie will come up with.
