Tonight, It’s All About Sitcoms Centered on Family Women as “I’m Sorry” Has Its Series Premiere and “Odd Mom Out” Has Its Season 3 Premiere

July 12, 2017
Uncategorized
andrea savage, bravo, i'm sorry, odd mom out, trutv

We’re sure that TruTV and Bravo did not plan months ago to have their respective series I’m Sorry and Odd Mom Out go head-to-head on basic cable on the same night at the same time slot, but that’s the way things turned out.

Honestly, you should try to catch both as Andrea Savage looks like she’s going to make a very solid and confident debut with a sitcom based on her life, I’m Sorry (see for yourself in this clip) and Odd Mom Out, as you can see here, has sneakily charmed its way to a third season on Bravo.

So, DVR, stream them somewhere later, or have two different TVs running both shows at the same at 10PM tonight on TruTV and Bravo.

The Daily Show Adds Michael Kosta as Newest Correspondent

As Jordan Klepper moves on up to doing his own show, Trevor Noah and The Daily Show are now taking the formerly ranked 864th tennis player in the world and making one Michael Kosta into the brand new Daily Show correspondent.

Kosta should fill in Klepper’s shoes nicely as they have a similar demeanor and cadence and probably the same shoe size (i.e. they’re very likely the same height).

Look for Kosta to start tonight.

When you saw that mysterious picture of one Stephen Colbert in Russia, it was unclear as to what exactly Colbert was up to.

Last night, Colbert announced that they’ll be doing a “Russia Week” a la “Shark Week” on The Late Show next week.

We have no doubt that there will be some gem remote segments of Colbert being let loose around Russia, so keep a close eye to see what exactly Stephen got away with starting next Monday and going through Friday.

BoJack Horseman Will Return for Season 4 on September 8th (in the Desert?)

BoJack Horseman always leaves on such great cliffhangers and, with the way TV series are run these days, there’s no telling when the new season will answer the questions left by the last season’s finale.

So, today, those concerns were alleviated somewhat as the image above was tweeted out. It definitely gives us a date to look forward to for one of the best animated dramedies that has ever been and, perhaps, a clue where season 4 might start (without spoiling too much for those who haven’t caught up).

The trailer itself is pretty satisfying with enticing appearances by Megan Mullally, Judy Greer, Michael Cera, Nia Long, Gillian Jacobs, and Fred Melamed to name a few.

See for yourself here.

Look for Lemon in theaters, On Demand, on Amazon Video and iTunes on Friday, August 18th.

Two of the most critically acclaimed absurdist comedians in the world, Dr. Brown and Sam Simmons, join up together again to do one of their most absurd shows, Ceremony at Silverlake’s Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Cafe.

Rather than try to explain how the show might be a postmodern dissection of the Western notion of what ‘ceremony’ is, means, and enacted, we’ll just tell you that Ceremony is damn funny and has a advisory warning of containing nudity.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Get your advance tickets here.

Trailer for Season 5 of “Episodes” Shows a Matt LeBlanc Coming to Terms with the New Media Landscape

If, a decade ago, you could place money on whether a TV series called Episodes would last more than one season on a premium cable network, much less for five, we’d guess that you wouldn’t make that bet.

However, Matt LeBlanc has found more than solid footing in a post-Friends world with such a show.

See for yourself in the trailer for the fifth and upcoming season of Episodes.

Look for the premiere on Sunday, August 20th at 10PM on Showtime.
