Besides it being Neil Hamburger and the fact that it’s a very, very, very, very stacked line-up (perhaps almost worthy of a gala?), next Sunday will mark 11 years of Neil’s residency (the longest solo residency in the comedy scene that we can think of) at The Satellite in Silverlake.

If you need more reason to go, then just trust that we’re telling you to go because it’s worth it.

Get your tickets here quick as we have a feeling that it might sell out.

We’re still smiling about the new web series Please Understand Me from Steve Feinartz and Ahamed Weinberg, EP’d by Sarah Silverman that was released this week on Facebook Watch.

Seriously, it’s fantastic.

Anyhow, if you’re in LA and don’t want to wait in the coming weeks for new episodes, you can go to a live screening of the whole series (including episodes for the pilot presentation) at the Lyric Hyperion in Silverlake (2106 Hyperion Ave., Los Angeles, CA) on Saturday, June 9th at 8PM. We were lucky enough to go to the premiere screening and it’s such a damn good time watching it in a crowd.

Tickets are $10 and you really ought to get them here.

The idea of showing comedians in therapy gets taken to the next level with Please Understand Me from the brilliant duo of Ahamed Weinberg and Steven Feinartz.

In this web series, fictional stories are made up for pairs of comedians who sit down with actual therapists, accented with colorful interstitial flashbacks. Of course, the stories themselves are perfectly ridiculous and played to perfection by a great cast, which includes many of our favorite comedy folks such as Rory Scovel, Natalie Palamides, Mo Collins, Fred Melamed, Steph Tolev, Ismael Loutfi, Ahamed, Juzo Yoshida, Chad Damiani, Phil Burgers, and Punkie Johnson.

Go enjoy Please Understand Me’s first two episodes right now on Facebook Watch and check back weekly for new episodes.

After gaining international critical acclaim at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Natalie Palamides’ groundbreaking show returns home for another run at The Lyric Hyperion Theatre & Cafe.

Also, the show’s director (and Fringe Festival favorite), Dr. Brown, will attempt to perform the show. Show description reads (probably written by Natalie):
Dr. Brown has been developing this show with Natalie for over a year and knows the show like the back of his hand… SO HE THINKS. Come watch Dr. Brown crash and burn OR, more likely, blow the show so far out of the water that Natalie hands the role over to him forever. Following the show the audience is welcome to watch Natalie give notes on his performance.

Get tickets for LAID here and the Dr. Brown Edition here.

Before 2017 rolls in for America, please enjoy, thanks to AOK, a slightly more realistic depiction of what would take if the beloved Power Rangers of your childhood did as much as damage as they were shown to do.

For some reason, even though it’s not 2017 yet, this seems to capture the spirit of 2017.

Watch it here.
