Natalie Palamides has really pushed herself to new thrilling and hysterical territory with her solo show, NATE. Audiences and critics around the world (including some of the most prestigious comedy and performance festivals) agree in being awestruck with Natalie’s work here where she satirizes masculinity in such a daring way.

Also, one Amy Poehler feels similarly and, as such, will be presenting NATE to the world as a live comedy special that will tape next month, Fri. Aug. 9th, at the Los Angeles Theatre Center in DTLA. There will be two tapings, 7PM and 9:30PM, and you can (and very, very much should) RSVP for FREE tickets here.

Tammercise is simultaneously an actual aerobics class that you can join and solo comedy performance that follows a woman trying to, well, you know, just keep it together. Truly, it’s a wonderful and weird time (shout out to Madeline Wager)

You can also just watch as other colorful-spandex-laden Tammercisers become part of the experience. If you do choose to join in the workout (we’ve even seen people attempt doing so with a full beer in the their hand), you will work up a legitimate sweat.

Get more details for the next Tammercise at DTLA’s Angel City Brewery next weekend here.

Desus and Mero are definitely on the come up in the late night world (and we would hope you’re on board at this point). Moving from Viceland to Showtime, getting bumped up to two nights for the summer, and bringing a refreshing edge to late night has gotten them much deserved praise.

They’re based out of NYC, but come August, you’ll get a chance to see the duo live at The Theatre at Ace Hotel and see what the phenoms are all about in person. Tickets just went on sale and you can (and very much should) go get them here.

Mike Birbiglia’s The New One Will Be Coming to the Ahmanson in DTLA This Fall

Mike Birbiglia doesn’t come through LA often and, even more rarely does a run of his award winning, critically acclaimed solo shows that have become Broadway shows and Netflix specials.

So, him doing a run of his Broadway show The New One at the Ahmanson at the gigantic Los Angeles Music Center in DTLA will probably be like seeing a shooting star we’d say. The run will go for a month from Oct. 23rd to Nov. 24th and individual tickets aren’t even on sale yet.

That being said, it’s the sort of show that will undoubtedly will sell out and you should be watching closely for when they go on sale (or, if you have the wallet for it, buy season passes for the LAMC).

The folks behind The Best Friends Show and Atlantic City along with wonderful musical comedy group The Cooties and so many other great LA comedy performers are gathering to do just that and you’ll get to see something that you have (probably) not seen before and will very likely get a huge kick out of.

Best of all, it’s just a single comedy show as opposed to an entire festival where you have to rearrange your entire life and finances to go to.

It’s called Festival Fest and it’s happening next Saturday. Go get your tickets here now.

Normally, December is a very sad time in LA (people leave, things wind down, and there is minor traffic because the city is empty).
