Our 7th Anniversary show is next week! Yep, we’re almost 7 years old (and we actually remembered to do something to celebrate this time around!)

We added Talk Show the Game Show’s Guy Branum, James Adomian, who you might have seen wreak delightful havoc at LA Podcast Festival, and a flyer!

Also, we’ll be raffling some of those fancy enamel pins that are otherwise only available through Patreon and our brand new album from AST Records, Comedians of Interest Vol. 1.

Tickets are $10 if you get them in advance or $15 cash at the door.

Well, if you love schadenfreude and stand-up comedy, it’s doesn’t get more schadenfreude-ish than having comedians watch their earliest sets with other comedians commenting on it and a crowd strangers watching the whole affair.

That’s exactly what Jay Larson’s Burned Material will be when it kicks off at the end of the month at Nerdmelt with fantastic comedians Rory Scovel, Fahim Anwar, Brent Morin.

Tickets are $10 and you can (and should) get them here.

Basically, this is probably somewhere between Comedy Bang! Bang! and Shark Tank that actually awards $1000 grants to one lucky entrepreneur.

More specifically:
The Awesome Foundation is a worldwide network of people devoted to forwarding the interest of awesomeness in the universe. The Foundation distributes a series of monthly $1,000 grants to projects and their creators. The money is pooled together from the coffers of our self-organizing “micro-trustees” and given upfront in cash, check, or gold doubloons (but never actually in gold doubloons).

Matt Walsh, Scot Armstrong, Andy Richter, Brad Morris, Allison Raskin, and Jamie Denbo will make up the special panel for this Awesome Foundation Comedy Show.

Tickets are $25 and you can (and should) get them here. Also, you can get a VIP ticket that includes a meet-and-greet with Matt Walsh and Scot Armstrong before the show and a premium seat for $200.

Come celebrate the decade of Neil’s residency at the end of the month with a line-up that’s already stacked and will undoubtedly get more stacked.

He’ll be having a very special guest in Abbi Jacobson (you know, from that one Broad City show) too.

Yes, The Comedy Bureau will have officially served the LA comedy scene for 7 years at the end of this month. That’s 56 years in dog years and (probably 70 in “bureau years”?)

This time, we actually took enough of a break to remind ourselves that we should put on a show (and actually try to make some money doing so).

As you can see from this scrawled upon napkin straight from the very desk of TCB itself, it ought to be a really good time. Also, there will be a raffle that includes fancy enamel pins, our album (more on that later), etc.

You can get tickets now for $10 or $15 cash at door. Get tickets, more details (that are more legible) here.

-will perform stand-up as if they are some sort of a witch this Sunday at Akbar in Silverlake. Sounds pretty damn fun (albeit a little spooky perhaps), no?

Toasty is half real cocktail party, half fictional cocktail party with a bunch of characters giving toasts from folks that are, shall we say, not quite well-adjusted. It also happens to be one of our, hands down, favorite things ever.

Sammy Miller and The Congregation might be the most fun loving jazz band around that weaves tomfoolery in between songs and Bill Irwin is a traditional clown that can show how Vaudeville can still live on.

It looks like the time for the Trepany House at Steve Allen Theater is actually coming to an end, and, with it, The Tomorrow Show with Ron Lynch (an LA comedy institution as far as we’re concerned) seems to be ending as well.

Though it has been running for over a decade every Saturday at midnight, there’s only a month’s worth of ‘Tomorrow’ left and, as such, this week’s show is a special “MASH-UP!” that gives a sampling of Crapshoot!, Five Minutes or Die!, and Hook-Up!
