As both John Early and Kate Berlant individually ascend to the upper echelons of comedy, seeing them take the stage together becomes more and more of a precious rarity, something not be absolutely missed.
The dynamic they have together is simultaneously otherworldly and chill.

However, we’re pretty sure that presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders getting to sit down and have an in-depth conversation with James Adomian’s stellar impersonation of Bernie Sanders was inevitable and supposed to happen in this universe (or any theoretical universe or dimension that one could possibly imagine).
Thus, for a very special episode of Adomian’s wonderful podcast The Underculture, the actual Bernie and James’ Bernie really got to the nuances of percentages, hand waving, free college tuition, and all the other hits. It truly is a magical conversation that you can watch video of here from Forever Dog or, if you really want to blow your mind, listen to the Underculture podcast episode and get lost in which Bernie is which (because James’ impression is just that good).
As we’re diving into the inevitable madness of the 2020 election cycle, the one and only James Adomian and his fantastic podcast, The Underculture will bring a much needed Election Clusterf*ck where James and his absolute favorite performers will do their much better version of the recent primary debates with James, of course, reprising his masterful impression of Senator Bernie Sanders.
Just the idea of trying to fit all of the candidates onto one stage as opposed to splitting them up to two nights should be worth the price of admission!

1) James Adomian’s Bernie Sanders is, without a doubt, one of the best political comedy impersonations of this decade as shown by this performance at this past weekend’s Defundraiser event for Measure B in Los Angeles in the upcoming midterm elections.

This will be a rally in support of Charter Amendment B that aims to help LA defund wall street so we can build affordable housing & renewable energy with a public bank! If intrigued, you can learn more here.

It’s just another video from James Adomian that shows that maybe the Bernie Sanders campaign would have done even better to integrate him into it.
Most logic has been thrown out of the window for this election year and a good majority of people seem to want to just go with their gut when picking the next leader of the free world.
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee found two delegates that take that idea to the nth degree on both sides of the spectrum. One person who is still backing Ted Cruz and the other backing Bernie Sanders even though the adjectives of official and presumptive have been permanently affixed to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Today, Senator Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton in a move to unite Democrats in defeating Trump.
With that in mind, James Adomian, who has played Bernie in Trump vs. Bernie for awhile now, made this farewell message that the real Sanders should consider playing at his next public appearance.

Anthony Atamanuik and James Adomian’s Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have a sketch special coming next month, but they also have a “Trump vs Bernie: Debate for America” special coming tomorrow to Fusion at 9PM.

In the interests of sticking it to both sides of the aisle on Full Frontal, Samantha Bee is countering her chat with Trump supporters by sitting down and listening to fervent supporters of Bernie Sanders.
Despite how tempting the daydreaming of progress seemed, Bee couldn’t grasp how people ‘feeling the bern’ didn’t share her and many others’ cynicism of the political process.
Dan Harmon scored a big get for the latest Great Minds on History channel’s Night Class with an appearance of the woman who sewed the U.S. flag, Betsy Ross, as played by comedian, actress, and big time Bernie Sanders supporter Sarah Silverman.
All the alternative flags that Betsy/Sarah are pretty fantastic and definitely made for 2016 more than they probably were for 1776.
We thought a Trump vs. Bernie special would look promising and this preview sure does.
Anthony Atamanuik, who plays Trump, dons a Rabbi outfit and character to appeal to James Adomian’s Bernie Sanders’ Jewish side.
Look for the Trump vs. Bernie debate special to premiere Wednesday, April 27th followed by a sketch special on Wednesday, May 11th on Fusion.
This week, they got to go toe-to-toe on @midnight. Next week, they’ll get to tape a special that goes back to their roots of raising their voices, gesturing with their hands wildly, and saying “uuuuge”.

During election years, presidential candidates are promised equal air time at a given TV network. If one candidate gets to be on air for a specific amount of time, other candidates can request that same amount of air time on the same network.
In a similar line of thought, Samantha Bee made sure to grill both sides of the aisle in their individual debates on last night’s Full Frontal.
As she has been doing since day one at her show, Samantha goes for the jugular in her jokes with almost no remorse and we can’t get enough.

The Jimmy Dore Show at TYT Network went to Las Vegas right as the primary election for democrats in Nevada was being held to witness the city’s caucus.
His findings are both pretty damn funny, but also, at the same time, saddening as caution is being thrown to the wind in such a hotly contested election.
