One of SF’s big festivals, Outside Lands, returns for its 2017 edition on Friday, August 11th-Sunday, August 13th.

As you can see above, they have a pretty swell line-up for their Barbary Comedy Tent.

On top of that, music acts will include, but certainly not limited to, headliners such as The Who, Gorillaz, Lorde, Tribe Called Quest, and Queens of the Stone Age.

From the end of this month until December, the brilliant Emily Heller will be stopping in Montreal, Dublin, Toronto, Texas, Vermont, Indiana, Virginia, and San Francisco for festivals, shows, etc..

Though the words ‘fire’ and ‘festival’ might conjure up the recent SNAFU that was the Fyre Festival.

That being said, The Big Fire Festival is nothing like that as it’s returning for its 3rd year, has nothing to do with Instagram celebrities trying to dupe you, and features plenty of comedy worth checking out in the desert under the stars as shown in the flyer above.

It’s all happening next Wednesday, May 11th at 6PM at Trepany House at Steve Allen Theater.

Rather than rising temperatures leaving less rainfall, Marc Maron might be on to something else that is behind the severe droughts in California that we all might be all a little ashamed to admit. 

He confided his “discovery” to us all on Conan this week.

Perhaps, after, we can all be “masters of our domain” and conserve all the water we need here in California.

Well, you should check your calendar from Mar. 18th through Apr. 24th if you live anywhere between Santa Barbara, CA and Miami Beach, FL right now.

That’s right. Dave Chappelle is going on tour without any extra fills are attaching himself to a big traveling festival. Over the next month, he’ll be stopping through California, Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Michigan for, thus far, 32 dates.
