We know it probably won’t go down like this, but it would be amazing if Nick Kroll even hosted part of the Gotham Awards as his beloved character El Chupacabra.

Comedy Central’s “@midnight w/Chris Hardwick” Already Scoring Well in Ratings

Though the technical jargon of ratings shares from Nielsen can be more than a little cryptic (especially where exactly they’re coming from), it would seem that young people, “a key demo”, really love “@midnight w/Chris Hardwick” as it has beaten out The Daily Show and Colbert Report with that age group on a single night.

And, well, just take a look at some of the funniest people in Kristen Schaal Patton Oswalt, Nikki Glaser, Matt Braunger, Eugene Mirman, Doug Benson  and more come up with lame comic book characters and awesome fake buzz feed lists to see what all these young people are so into.

NBC Picks Up Tina Fey & Robert Carlock Starring Ellie Kemper Comedy Series

Not only does this series have the Tina Fey/Robert Carlock stamp on it as well as Ellie Kemper starring, but the premise of a single camera sitcom of life after a cult is pretty intriguing.

So, this is pretty much a no-brainer on NBC’s part.

The very funny Matt Knudsen is starting a podcast where he has lunch with other funny people like Myq Kaplan, Howard Kremer, Todd Glass, Jackie Kashian, Erin Foley, Eddie Pepitone, Kyle Kinane, Ron Funches, Moshe Kasher, Matt Braunger, Kurt Braunohler, and records the conversation.

Matt’s sharp as a tack as you can see in this Conan set and we have no that the podcast will feature a lot of guests delaying eating their food for having too much fun.

Take a listen to Grabbing Lunch with Matt Knudsen here.

An animated supernatural action comedy will now have Bill Murray joining the likes of Seth Rogen, Rashida Jones, Jennifer Coolidge, Melissa McCarthy, and more.

Let’s hope that this isn’t another star studded cast doing a summer family movie that ends up being just for kids.

The Pete Holmes Show premiered this week and if you haven’t gotten a chance to catch it yet, please watch these two clips of his monologue, which is just Pete’s stand up and this amazing James Bond parody, which neither of is hardly topical, but damn hilarious.

Is a new era in late night on the horizon, perhaps? Watch and decide for yourself between catching your breath and laughing.

So, Paul F. Tompkins Will Be Hosting a Political Panel Discussion Show with Puppets Premiering Tonight on Fusion

It turns out that Paul will indeed be hosting a panel discussion show on politics (and probably more) with puppets on brand spanking new network Fusion (check if you can get it here) called No, You Shut Up airing on Fridays at 9:30PM.

Yes, that means it premieres tonight 9:30PM.

Legendary sketch group, The State, is re releasing their book State by State with The State: An Uninformed, Poorly Researched Guide to Traveling the United States as an e-book Nov. 5th, which is on pre-order right now. You can still buy a physical copy, which begs the question about why is it a big deal about releasing as a e-book?

Well, making this promo with all the members of The State is a good enough reason as far as we’re concerned.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s Production Co. Gets First Look Deal/Da Ali G Show: Rezurection Will Air at FX/FXx

FX has possibly nabbed it’s next big comedy star in Sacha Baron Cohen. Already having the likes of Louis C.K., Jim Jefferies, the gang from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia at FXx, Sacha Baron Cohen has inked a deal to give a first look at his TV projects at FX/FXx as well as to bring back old episodes of Da Ali G Show on the air.

That’s a pretty great move, FX/FXx.

The number “26” itself seems almost like a joke when it comes to the number of anything in comedy as it doesn’t immediately bring anything to mind other than it seems like a lot, especially late night sets.

Yet, comedy legend in the making Brian Regan notched his 26th set on The Late Show with David Letterman, a feat that most comics would laugh about getting to.

See Regan actually do so with his set right here.

Though we’re sure producer Scott Rudin will bring a touch of panaché to this movie, we can only imagine the shenanigans that Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, the cast of Workaholics, and the guys behind Workaholics will come up with.

We’re pretty sure there will be a red band trailer for this.

If you still have any doubts about that, one of the children in the book is named Buster.
