The 100 People You Should Follow on Twitter
Oh hey, look. I’m number 2. Right between Al Gore and Alyssa Milano. Also, one of my good friends is an editor at PC Mag; so be impressed, but not really.
I don’t know about all of those other folks, but, yeah, you should follow @Just_Alison

That’s all you really need to know.
The line-up that you possibly missed at Meltdown at Meltdown Comics last night. (Photo by Jay Larson, the Larson on the line-up).
Recently: Are we celebrating a holiday today? I had no idea. Really, I didn’t. I’m a workaholic that actually barely processes the concept of a holiday. Luckily, comedian Jim Gaffigan fills in some holes as far as this whole “holiday mystery” thing is concerned. (Yeah, I’m still drinking tonight. Don’t worry.)

The Green Room with Sean Green: St. Paddy’s Edition
Sean’s trip back to Philly. Jameson tasting on-air. Wax video ‘Dispensary Girl’ from the ScrubLife mix tape. Gilbert Gottfried and Glenn Beck’s comments on the Japan earthquake. The Situation bombs at the Donald Trump roast.
Recently: Utah becomes the first state to have an official state firearm. Perhaps then, Rick Shapiro didn’t want to go to Bolivia, but rather Utah in this short by Louis CK.

Here is the NSFW part 2 unboxing of this ridiculous bullshit. Enjoy, my fellow dorks.

…
1. My Bartender texted me at 10 this morning to tell me I had to start paying for my drinks, because the owners were getting suspicious.
2. There is a person in my life that I refer to as “My Bartender.”
3. “My Bartender” is a friend of mine from before I knew he was a bartender; but for the life of me, I cannot remember his name.
Oh, Jim Hamilton….

1) Yesterday marks the last day of Morgan Murphy’s (@morgan_murphy) stint on at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and her gradual return to the West Coast. Be on the look out, but I’m sure you won’t have to look too hard because she’ll probably going up everywhere and still have that hair.
2) Take your star map, if you still have it, and go burn it. THEN, watch Bill Burr’s tour of Los Angeles. You still see most of the same stuff, but the jokes are actually done by a highly regarded, paid professional.
3) Check out the new trailer for the Comedy Central Pilot: Set List. Basically, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” for stand up comedy featuring Carlos Alazraqui, Eddie Pepitone, Laurie Kilmartin, Sean Green, Chris Fairbanks, and more!!!
4) The Comedy Bureau hasn’t determined who the Tip of the Hat is going to today, but assuredly, it is going to someone. I’m sure all of you are on the edge of you seats.

Charlyne Yi: FASHION ENTRY NINE: Hair Product
Okay I get how people wanna be all “natural” and not use hair product.
But there are some of us who just need to give in, and well, do their hairdo right.SEBASTIAN IS [a] PERFECT [example of what I’m talking about]
Maybe they wouldn’t have left Eddie on the floor if he did something…
The Barbtian Chronicles: no elbow licking
Doing a bit of research on how to get into the Guiness Book of World Records. Their notes under the “human being” section are as follows:
- We do not accept any claims for beauty as it is not objectively measurable.
- Fastest, quickest or longest birth is not categories we recognize.
- Cancer…
I suspect a rather large number of comedians just had a horrible/perhaps amazing idea for a live comedy show.

1) LA Comedy Shorts Festival taking place mostly at the Downtown Independent Theater April 7th-11th. Details here.
2) Last night at the Tomorrow Show presents WEIRD, I got a chance to see Paul Rust, Harris Wittels, and Michael Cassady as newly formed band “Don’t Stop or We’ll Die”, as one hell of a comical musical ruckus. They’re playing at Meltdown Comics April 23rd 8PM $8. Do. Not. Miss. This.
3) Continuing in awesome comedy music acts that I saw last night at the Tomorrow Show, I had a chance to be berated for not being from Portland by MOP, which was not at all shocking and also, hilarious. Though this clip isn’t “music”, but since I don’t know where they’re playing next, it’ll have to do.
4) The Tip of the Hat this week (technically, last week) goes to none other than Paul F. Tompkins for making it to his 9th Anniversary Show. Article to follow today (Seriously, it will come out later today. I didn’t write/post it last night because I would have started punching walls if I stayed at the Bureau offices for another minute yesterday)
5) Tonight’s COMEDY CRAWL
Jeff Garlin’s Combo Platter @ UCB Theatre 6PM $2
ASSSSCAT @ UCB Theatre 7:30PM FREE
Powerviolence @ The Complex 8:30PM FREE

We’ll All Be Dead Someday @ Hollywood Improv Lab 8:30PM $5
Top Story Weekly! w/Sean Patton @ iO West 9PM $5
The Hilarium @ Hollywood Improv 9PM $14/2 drink min.

MARTY’S/THE OPEN MIC 7351 W. Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, CA (walk up Martel past Big Mama’s and Papa’s)/5PM to 11PM/$5/multiple sets allowed
7) Comedians doing open mics today seem somewhat more dedicated than marathon runners because they could do open mics tomorrow and skip the rain.
