So, a fall tour and his third one hour special, both aptly titled It’s About Time, are what Gulman is very deservingly on to next and you should definitely be on the lookout for both.

Ron Livingston To Play AMC’s Comedy Pilot “We Hate Paul Revere”

AMC is dipping its toe into the waters of cable network comedy with their one and only comedy pilot, We Hate Paul Revere from Ethan Sandler and Adrian Wenner. Sandler and Wenner will play two brothers that are jealous of such heroes of the American Revolution as Paul Revere, who will be played by Ron Livingston.

Given how hard it is to hate Livingston’s face along with the premise, this could be a lot of fun at AMC, a place where period pieces normally turn very dramatic.

Comedy Central’s “Moonbeam City” Goes 80’s To The Max

Yet another promising animated series trailer lands today. After the trailer for Adult Swim’s Mike Tyson Mysteries found its way from Comic Con to the Internet, Comedy Central just posted a trailer for their latest animated series, Moonbeam City.

Between the voices of Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, Kate Mara, and Will Forte, and the spectacular neon color palate, over sized clothes, etc. Moonbeam City looks like everything you’d want an 80s animated procedural comedy to be.

Sony Pictures TV has gotten into the Nat Faxon and Jim Rash business by signing a two year deal to develop and produce TV series projects.

It’s about time Faxon and Rash had some sort of deal like this after proving their worth in features with Oscar winning The Descendants and The Way Way Back as well as currently being on FX’s Married and Community, respectively.

We’re curious to see what they come up with, possibly some promising dramedies, and where it might end up.

Here’s the Trailer For Adult Swim’s Latest Series ‘Mike Tyson Mysteries’

Another nice reveal from Comic Con this past weekend came in the form of a trailer for Adult Swim’s latest cartoon, Mike Tyson Mysteries with the actual voice of Mike Tyson.

There’s a lot to chew on here including its style as one of those classic 70s cartoons to a ghost being one of Tyson’s sidekicks as well as Norm MacDonald voicing a pigeon. That’s right; all of you what just read is absolutely true.

Watch the trailer here.

With the one and only James Adomian playing Chris Matthews, a franchised version of MSNBC’s Hardball in Canada would most certainly have an Ann Coulter played by Drew Droege, a Tegan and Sara played by Rhea Buthcer and Cameron Esposito, a Rob Ford played by Steve Agee, and a William Shatner played by Joe Roche.

See what could be very well be the future of Hardball on Funny or Die here.

Russia’s been up to a lot lately, but, for the lack of its homophobia or relevance to Ukraine, you might have overlooked Russia losing contact with a space vessel that was housing mating geckos for observation.

That’s why John Oliver on Last Week Tonight (as well as a plenty of celebrities like Julia Louis Dreyfus and Patrick Stewart) says that the least humanity can do is to tell Russia to “Go get those geckos!”

Now, you can watch that 4:55 preview right here and find all the inside series crossover/network jokes you possibly can.

Netflix Has Just Passed 50 Million Subscribers From a Lot of Your Binge Watching

(via The Hollywood Reporter)

Whether it be watching something like Arrested Development, Netflix stand-up specials, Orange Is The New Black, etc. the subscribers of Netflix have grown in number all the way past 50 million. That’s 1.69 million subscribers added worldwide from the second quarter of this year alone.

In contrast, Nielsen reported recently that there are currently an estimated 115.6 TV households in the U.S., which comes out to a 1.2% rise from the last TV season.

While it seems unfair to compare worldwide Netflix subscribers to U.S. TV households, these numbers also don’t account for Hulu Plus subscribers, people watching HBO GO even with an HBO subscription, Amazon Instant, and more (i.e. the aggregate viewership of online streaming networks).

So, we wouldn’t be surprised to see, a few years down the road if Netflix commanded the viewership and produced the amount of content that a network does year round, which would be probably pretty great for comedy series/specials/movies/talk shows.

While they’ll cover such topics as varied as fashion and survival, we hope that the DENNIS system is broken down in even greater and more disgusting detail. The book is real and on pre-order.
