Nathan Fielder Is Trolling Sean Spicer by Sending One of His Holocaust Awareness Summit Ice Jackets to Him

“.@seanspicer you’re an XL right?”

After the massive faux pas made by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer that featured an incredibly tone-deaf contrast between Assad and Hitler, the the world, especially the Internet, collectively (that also includes Alex Jones) was disgusted.

Nathan Fielder, famed comedian and the man behind Nathan For You and proprietor of Summit Ice, an outdoor clothing company that promotes Holocaust awareness and education, was disturbed as well by the comments. Fielder opted to troll Spicer by sending him one of his jackets that, again, is completely done with the mission that people know about and remember the Holocaust.

This picture and tweet is just the nice, subtle burn that Nathan Fielder is so good at.

Trailer for “Beatriz at Dinner” Has a Rich People Dinner, in Trump Era, Go Awry

Having dinner with friends and especially friends of friends under the Trump Administration is a dicier proposition than it has been in recent memory.

The new dark comedy, Beatriz at Dinner, from director Miguel Arteta and writer Mike White attempts to capture that tension in a dinner at a lavish mansion between rich folks and their professional healer. The cast that includes Salma Hayek, John Lithgow, Connie Britton, Jay Duplass, Chloe Sevigny, and Amy Landecker make this doomed dinner even more enticing.

Get a taste of what’s coming with this trailer.

Look for Beatriz at Dinner in theaters on June 9th.

But as I’ve thought so much more about Trump in the last year, there’s nobody more Trumpy than Selina. In some ways, she has been Trumpy for six seasons. So much of the show is her barging into things headfirst, saying the wrong thing, screwing up, getting caught, lying about it. If that’s not Trump, I don’t know what is. Everyone keeps asking, “Well, how has Trump changed things?” Trump, in a weird way, is sort of doing us. We’re not doing him.

John Cleese to Co-Star in BBC Sitcom “Edith” from Charles McKeown, The Writer of “Brazil”

In this new Golden Age of television, John Cleese is indeed returning to the realm of sitcom with a new show from the writer of Brazil, Charles McKeown.

The premise, the engagement of an elderly couple is interrupted by an old son moving in with them, seems kind of straightforward and a bit classical in a sort of Odd Couple, Three’s Company sense.

That being said, with Monty Python alums Cleese and McKeown on board, we wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something special that they’ve got hidden up their sleeve for this series in tone, writing, etc.

RIP Charlie Murphy, 1959-2017

Today, comedian, actor, and writer Charlie Murphy passed away from leukemia at the age of 57.

Murphy had a long career, keeping busy with TV and movies including Chapelle’s Show, Black Jesus, CB4, Harlem Nights, The Boondocks, and more, then later with stand-up as you can see in his extensive filmography on IMDB.

Of course, Murphy will be fondly remembered for his contribution to Chappelle’s Show known as Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories. The stories and reenactments of encounters with Prince and Rick James (in two parts) remain as some of the most beloved sketches of Chappelle’s Show.

You’ve probably already watched them a few times, but do so again here, here, and here.

Catch a glimpse of it with this trailer, then look for Career Suicide to premiere on HBO on Saturday, May 6th.

When doing stand-up on late night, there is a lot of pressure to deliver your set perfectly just as you’ve rehearsed for dozens and dozens of times over.

Ian Abramson upped the ante by performing his late night set on last night’s Conan with a shock collar designed for dogs and giving the remote control that operates the collar to a random audience member.

It’s one of the more weird and wonderful sets of stand-up that you’ll have seen in your lifetime.

Watch it here.

With the fate of the White House Correspondents Dinner undecided a few months back, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee announced that they’ll be doing their own special that evening that would assure the Trump Administration would get their due that night.

Coined as “Not The White House Correspondents Dinner”, you can see what Sam Bee and company have in store with this promo released this week.

As announced today, Hasan Minhaj will be hosting this year’s actual White House Correspondents Dinner. So, you can actually pick between a current and former Daily Show correspondent and their televised special event on Saturday, April 29th.

As Trump isn’t attending because he ostensibly doesn’t want his feelings hurt to his face, you have to wonder exactly how hard Sam and Hasan will go on Trump, Bannon, news outlets, etc..

With Trump Planning to Be Absent, Hasan Minhaj Will Host This Year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner

We love that Hasan Minhaj will be the host for this year’s White House Correspondents Dinner. Not only is he a great Daily Show correspondent, but he hosted last year’s RTCA Dinner and took no prisoners with both his jokes and his message.

Even though Trump isn’t attending, Hasan will very likely make the most of the evening and, perhaps, a very historic roast of what might be one of the most despised Presidents in U.S. History.

The 2017 White House Correspondents Dinner is set for April 29th.

Watch Trailer Don Rickles Series “Dinner With Don” Which Wrapped Before He Passed Away

One of the more exciting things that were in the works was AARP’s series Dinner with Don that essentially would be Don Rickles’ version of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Guests Amy Poehler, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianakis, and Paul Rudd had dinner with Don and enjoyed going back-and-forth with Mr. Warmth.

Fortunately, before Rickles passing this week, 10 episodes of the show had already been shot. There is no word on when and where it will make its debut, but we hope that its soon.
