‘Tis the season for all those indie comedies that hit it big on the festival circuit to start coming out in theaters.

People Places Things played at Sundance earlier this year and is the latest opportunity that you’ll get to see Jemaine Clement on any screen since the wonderful What We Do In The Shadows hit the States earlier this year. Stephanie Allynne and Regina Hall round out the cast in what looks to be another heartfelt modern family dramedy.

IFC will have its latest mini series adaptation from the fictionally legendary author Eric Jonrosh (Will Ferrell) and his “masterpiece” The Spoils Before Dying next month on Wed. Jul. 8th at 9PM.

It’s a meta tale of murder, mistaken identity, jazz and questioning tropes of the whole film noir genre.

You can a great feel for just that in trailer right over here.

As the massive gaming convention E3 is happening at this very moment, dozens of game trailers are being released to build up hype.

One of those games is South Park: The Fractured but Whole, a sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth that decides to parody superheroes in place of Lord of The Rings.

The very first trailer just got posted. Watch it here.

A teaser for the intentionally campy Lifetime movie A Deadly Adoption starring Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig was just released today, which should further convince you that the movie is going to premiere on Jun. 20th.

We’re guessing that you should get ready for some of Ferrell’s best outbursts since in some time.

While you’re curiosity might be still aflutter as to what Bill Murray and Sofia Coppola have cooked up for A Very Murray Christmas, you’ll have another Murray vehicle to look forward this year in the Barry Levinson directed/Mitch Glazer written Rock The Kasbah.

Murray plays a tour manager that loses one American act while touring in Afghanistan who has to make a star out of an Afghan girl on their version of American Idol. Maybe she’ll end up singing the famous Clash song?

We’re on board for that.

Watch the trailer here and look for its release on Oct. 23rd.

The return of The Griswolds, though in a new generation, and their quest to visit Walley World had a pretty great red band trailer a month ago.

Here’s a new trailer for the new Vacation that sneaks under the trailer rating system and still manages to keep in the spirit set by the original franchise.

Look for this to be one of Summer’s big comedy releases on July 29th.

An embrace as well as a satirical send-up of generations has been Noah Baumbach’s forte and his latest work with co-star and co-writer Greta Gerwig, Mistress America, looks like it’ll be sending up this current generation once more in a delightfully biting almost-thematic/spiritual-sequel-to-Frances Ha way.

Watch the trailer here and look for a limited theatrical release on Aug. 14th.

Combining what could be a fun Goonies-ish heist film and the modern day equivalents of Mark Twain’s legendary characters Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, Band of Robbers looks promising as an indie comedy, a niche genre that’s slowly becoming synonymous with dramedy.

Writer/director duo Adam Nee and Aaron Nee bring Matthew Gray Gubler, Kyle Gallner, Hannibal Buress, Johnny Pemberton, and more to pull this off.

Watch the teaser here and then maybe, if you can, catch at The LA Film Festival on Jun. 13th.

Watch Red Band Trailer For Stoner Action Comedy “American Ultra”

Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart star in what might be a better feature length version of the premise to NBC’s Chuck in the upcoming stoner action comedy, American Ultra.

Watch Eisenberg recall the part where he stops running in Zombieland (along with the font from Zombieland) and takes on various covert operatives as a deep secret covert operative himself while also trying to come down from being high.

As far as stoner/slacker action comedy goes, it seems slightly more grounded and realistic than Chuck or even Pineapple Express. Yet, it still enjoys the fun of some of the most unrealistic bullet physics since Wanted. Connie Britton and Topher Grace also seem like they’ll make memorable cameos as comedic versions of David Strathairn and Joan Allen in The Bourne Ultimatum.

See all of this for yourself in this red band trailer.

Aubrey Plaza voices a misunderstood goth girl and Rob Riggle voices an ancient demon and the two become friends in Fox’s latest animated series Golan The Insatiable, coming from Fox ADHD.

The casting seems pretty on point here and, though the premise is darker than The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, American Dad, or Family Guy, this trailer shows that Golan could potentially be as goofy and absurd as the rest of the bunch.

We’ll find out if that’s so when Golan The Insatiable premieres on May 31st at 9:30PM on Fox.

If you took a bit of the story of Orange County, then set it in Inglewood, add some shine for 90s hip hop and a drug dealer twist, then it looks like you have something around the neighborhood of Dope.

Rick Famuyiwa’s Dope follows a straight laced, straight A kid who is trying to get into the best college he can and also, simultaneously, live up to the title of the movie.

The journey, according to this trailer, looks like it’ll be a jovial ride tinged with the nostalgia of hip from two decades ago. It certainly struck a chord with the Sundance crowd earlier this year as it sold at the festival.

FYI, Dope comes out June 19th.

The man behind the wonderfully out there Computer Chess, Andrew Bujalski, brings his take on a romantic comedy with Results.

A very strange love triangle forms between personal trainers played by Cobie Smulders and Guy Pearce and a new rich client played by Kevin Corrigan in Results which seems to go a little off on a tangent from typical rom com fare.

Watching this trailer, we’re into it.

Look for results in limited release starting May 29th.

A potential record deal was going to be made at The Sundance Film Festival this year for Me and Earl and The Dying Girl as Fox Searchlight and Indian Paintbrush amongst others were in a bidding war for the movie.

For those of us not in attendance to Sundance, here’s our first look at was causing said bidding war.

Somewhere between 50/50 and the “sweded” movies of Be Kind Rewind is seemingly where Me and Earl and The Dying Girl lies according to this trailer. Also, it has Nick Offerman strangely holding cats.

That could be a winning a combo and we shall see if that’s so on it’s premiere on Jun. 12th.

Yes, they have plenty of pun “kill lines” too.
