Taran Killiam’s “Killing Gunther” Appears To Be a Comedic Riff on John Wick
There’s a bit of dark, dry humor already in both installments of the John Wick franchise.
Now, if we were to imagine if that the focus shifted from the body count that Wick racks up as the most unstoppable assassin of all time to humor and Arnold Schwarzenegger were that supposed unstoppable assassin (along with some talking head interviews?), you’d get Taran Killam’s assassin comedy Killing Gunther.
See for yourself in the first trailer and enjoy Arnold having fun leaning into being the action star he always was and always will be.
Of Course Joss Whedon’s PSA on Why You Need to Vote Is Great and Funny
Having the ability to get many of the world’s biggest celebrities at his beck and call and a super clever sense of humor, Joss Whedon has made a great PSA, that also pokes fun at how PSAs are done, for SaveTheDay.vote, which encourages people to go out and vote in this very important election.
Watch and enjoy it here.
Oh yeah, definitely go out and vote too.
Watch Fey and Poehler’s Game Show “Meet Your Second Wife”
Often times, when a man remarries, he goes for a woman that is younger, perhaps so much younger that it’s kind of ridiculous.
So, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler highlighted that point on last night’s SNL with a new, innovative, somehow omniscient game show, Meet Your Second Wife.
SNL Makes the Perfect Star Wars Action Figure Commercial for 2015
In 2015, these aren’t just your kids’ Star Wars action figures and the ads for such merchandise should reflect that.
Rich Fulcher Narrates Bobby Fischer vs. Boris Spassky for “Drunk History”
The story of chess prodigy Bobby Fischer playing against Russian chess champion Boris Spassky is already incredulous without embellishment, especially the type coming from a person who is under the influence of some substance.
So, it only stands to reason that a silly, drunk Rich Fulcher would tell one of the best versions of the story accompanied by Taran Killam as Bobby Fischer and Jake Johnson as Boris Spassky while he seems like one of the drunker narrators that has been on Drunk History. This should serve as a great appetizer or dessert for watching Pawn Sacrifice.
Here’s The Entire Comic-Con Panel for “Drunk History” Moderated by Paul F. Tompkins
If you think that making Drunk History on Comedy Central is a bunch of fun, series co-creators Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner as well as contributors Paget Brewster and Taran Killam assured everyone at a Comic-Con panel that indeed it really is a bunch of fun.
Look for new episodes in September.
SNL Makes Trailer for Gritty “Bambi” Reboot with Dwayne Johnson as Bambi
If they can make a gritty Snow White remake, why not a gritty update for Bambi?
That’s what SNL was thinking lat night when they made a trailer for something that’s a Fast and Furious 7 meets a live action Bambi with The Rock wearing deer ears and a fur vest and Taran Killam in a muscle suit and bunny ears.
Yes, they have plenty of pun “kill lines” too.
Taran Killam, Bill Pullman, Rachael Harris, Rita Wilson, David Wain, and Bobby Moynihan Will Be in “Brothers in Law”
While there’s time off from SNL, SNL’s Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan are back working with Lorne Michaels on a brand new film, Brothers in Law. The rest of the cast seems pretty solid as well with Rachael Harris, Bill Pullman, Rita Wilson, and David Wain.
Details as to the movie’s premise or plot are sparing, but we’d like to guess, just based of the title, that this would be the type of a movie that would have a great showdown with Step Brothers.
Drunk History Tells The Story of How The Statue of Liberty Came to America
Taran Killam plays Bartholdi, but more importantly, Falconer is drunk and playing with Play-doh while telling the story. Watch it here.
