Watch Trailer for Doc “Asperger’s Are Us” Following a Different Sort of Comedy Troupe

A documentary that’s inspirational, about coming up in comedy, fighting negative stereotypes about not being a neurotypical or “NT” sounds like a winning combo to us.

Noah Britton, Ethan Finlan, Jack Hanke, New Michael Ingemi are all on the autism spectrum, but manage to do comedy anyway and the film follows how exactly they pull that off.

The Duplass Brothers thought the same thing and attached themselves to the movie to hopefully get it more exposure.

Watch the trailer for Alex Lehmann’s Asperger’s Are Us at the link above.

Also, the actual group do tour and you can find their dates (mostly on the East Coast) here.

In 1983, Robert DeNiro took on one of his noted roles as a mentally unstable “comedian” that takes a talk show host hostage in The King of Comedy.

Next year, DeNiro will star as a slightly more (but not too much more) normal comedian in simply titled The Comedian that forces himself to make a comeback after several falls from grace. Also, the one and only Jeff Ross was hired to write actual jokes for DeNiro’s character Jackie that are used throughout the film. Leslie Mann, Danny DeVito, Patti LuPone, and Harvey Keitel make for a pretty dazzling supporting cast as well.

Watch the trailer here, then look for it in theaters on January 13th.

Watch Trailer for Foreign Comedy “The Brand New Testament” Where God Is Some Cranky Guy in Belgium and His Daughter Rebels Against Him

jaco van dormael, the brand new testament, thomas gunzi, trailer

It would seem that Belgium’s Jaco Van Dormael and Thomas Gunzig bring an incredibly imaginative, fantastical comedy to life with The Brand New Testament.

In the trailer, the all powerful being that is often referred to as God is depicted as a cranky old man living in Belgium that actually has a wife and daughter who cope with his interference in people’s lives. That being said, his daughter has a mind to free the people of the world from his seemingly unfair chaos that he dishes out at his discretion.

If anything, this movie looks hopeful in the midst of what seems to be an existential nightmare. Such a movie couldn’t come sooner and will be playing in US theaters on December 9th,
