The History channel is really making a point to inject comedy into their line-up in 2016. This includes a compilation of short form shows including, Great Minds with Dan Harmon, Crossroads of History, and How to Lose the Presidency, which will be called Night Class and be their latest comedy offering.

Here’s a pretty great teaser for Crossroads of History, a third of Night Class, where Josh Fadem plays Hitler in his days as an artist that never really seemed to go all that well for him.

Night Class premieres this Thurs. Feb. 25th at 11:30PM on the History channel.

Watch Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel Host a “Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show Show”

Many are geared up for a The Super Bowl while others are geared up for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Us personally, we’re pretty psyched for Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel doing a ‘half time show show’ web series that’s way before the actual half time show. The Pepsi Halftime Show Show not only has Scheer and Huebel letting their trademark chaos reign, but also has, in these first two episodes, Andy Juett and Tim Kalpakis joining in on the fun.

Anyone taking odds on whether these will be funnier than any of the Super Bowl ads? We might bet that they indeed are.

Blizzard or not, you should go watch this right now.

Years ago, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel rented a giant bus and taped an entire comedy special for their live show Crash Test while driving around LA. They had anyone from Aziz Ansari to Natasha Leggero to Thomas Lennon/Robert Ben Garant to Ian Karmel and much more join them/run into them while the special was happening.

While it was only available to stream after paying for quite some time, you can now watch the whole Crash Test special over at CC.com.

So, go do that.

Finally, Here’s the First Teaser for The Duplass Brothers’ “Animals”

With BoJack Horseman and a multitude of web series that have talking animals, it would seem anthropomorphized animated series are becoming their own sub genre.

That being said, there’s still room for more such shows as you can see with this teaser of The Duplass Brothers’ Animals.

Not only are NYC animals talking like regular New Yorkers a clever concept, but having the voice talents of Nick Kroll Matt Walsh, Steve Zissis, Adam Scott, Colbie Smulders, Marc Maron, Zach Woods, Jessica Chastain, Horatio Sanz, Kumail Nanjiani, Katie Aselton, Wanda Sykes, Paul Scheer, Rob Corddry, and Molly Shannon definitely pushes it to the next level.

Look for the premiere of Animals on Friday Feb. 5th at 11:30PM on HBO.

Crash Test, the comedy special that’s unlike any comedy special you’ve ever seen before, is finally out today on Vimeo On Demand.

Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel really did shoot the entire thing on a moving bus driving all around LA not only have live comedy on the bus, but also “run into” folks like Aubrey Plaza, Earl Sweatshirt, Thomas Lennon, Aziz Ansari, and more.

You can and should download and stream the Crash Test at Vimeo On Demand for $3.99.

Paul Scheer yet again does not go on The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail simply as a comedian, but rather, this time, as a Vine star doing stand-up.

The name that Paul came up with, Bling Ringa Xisle, should clue you in to how great this is.

All of this was shot in a special years ago and is finally going to become available for all to bear witness to the madness they and director Lance Bangs put together.

Scheer-RL Visits Casey Wilson and Eminem’s First Time on TRL and That Time P. Diddy Tried To Run a Marathon

Paul Scheer’s recreation of some of the craziest episodes of MTV’s Total Request Live continues on Scheer-RL with awkward conversations between host Carson Daly and guests who had, at the time, never been on TRL before like Celine Dion and Eminem paired with Mark Wahlberg. There was also a time where P. Diddy ran on a treadmill during an interview in preparation for running a marathon.

On top of that, Casey Wilson plays Celine Dion, Terry Crews and Katie Lowes play P. Diddy and Britney Spears, and Randall Park and Joe Lo Truglio play Eminem and Mark Wahlberg, which turns out to be as ridiculous and great as you think it would be.

Scheer-RL Relives When TRL Did a Sit Down with Marilyn and When an Uninvited Mariah Carey Came with a Popsicle Cart

Paul Scheer’s Scheer-RL continues to roll out with recreating some of the crazier moments that have happened on any sort of show, much less a music video countdown show like Total Request Live.

These latest episodes recount the times when Marilyn Manson, played by here Brett Gelman, fielded weird questions from Carson Daly and audience members about his controversial music and when Mariah Carey, played by Kumail Nanjiani, just bizarrely showed up without any prior booking or invitation along with a popsicle cart right before they cut to commercial.

Though exaggerated, stuff like Mariah interrupting TRL really did happen and Scheer-RL does well in playing up what many of us were thinking when that was happening live.

Paul Scheer Is Now Re-creating Episodes of TRL Called “Scheer-RL”

This first one is a doozy with Ryan Hansen and Thomas Middleditch playing members 98 Degrees.

Remember when Paul Scheer recreated some of the craziest moments on The Arsenio Hall Show from the 90s and called it “The ArScheerio Paul Show”?

Well, Paul’s giving hit music video countdown show Total Request Live the same treatment on JASH as Scheer-RL, though, this time he’s getting a little more creative with the recreations rather than exactly reenacting what happened.

This first episode features one of the more awkward appearances on TRL with the boy band 98 Degrees, exaggerated perfectly.

Where many networks are going lax on their comedy, Adult Swim is apparently more than happy to pick up the slack.

Coming up for their upfront slate, Adult Swim has:
-a new series from China, IL’s Brad Neely called “TV Sucks”
-another Brett Gelman “Dinner with…” special
–Robot Chicken DC Comics Special III: Friendship Is Magic

-a special for Jon Glaser’s Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter
-Pilots from/with Paul Scheer, Million Dollar Extreme, Brian Huskey, Jason Mantzoukas, a Mexican border amusement park, Seth Green, Matt Senreich, Daniel Weidenfeld, DJ Douggpound, Bento Box, a children’s show hosted by a person that has rage issues, Rob Corddry, an upstart terrorist organization, and more.

We hope we get to see all of this very soon.

Make sure you refresh your memory with the original music video first.

As part of JASH’s $5K music video series, the amazing Kurt Braunohler got to direct the music video for Mikal Cronin’s new song “Turn Around”.

As the director, Kurt decided to do his own “shot-for-shot” version of the classic 90s music video for Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn”, but done with Mikal’s song instead.

The result was hilariously beautiful and features Kristen Schaal as Imbruglia, Paul Scheer, Rory Scovel, Jonah Ray, and other great randomness.

Apparently, Fox has a lot of good stuff coming to their digital side.

While Fox ADHD is up and running at FXx, a multi-platform deal with some of the folks behind Burning Love, namely Keith Quinn and Jonathan Stern along with the likes of Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel, Jerry Minor, Curtis Gwinn, and more involved in front of and/or behind the camera has a fine looking slate of new series.

This includes Filthy Sexy Teen$ (a parody of all those sexy teen dramas), Drive Share (a workplace comedy of rideshare drivers), Criminal Records (an out of touch rock n’ roll label tries to save rock n’ roll), and Grand Marquee (a rapper from the old school tries to keep up with the hip hop of today).

All of this will be coming to the screen on your computer/mobile devices soon.

The Black List and Paul Scheer Are Teaming Up For a New Podcast

This has nothing to do with James Spader or spies (well, at least the ones that are on NBC).

As you very well know, so few original scripts get the shine that movies that are adapted from a book, tv show, children’s toy, app, etc. these days. That’s why it’s great that such a thing as The Black List that showcases the best in unproduced screenplays.

So, as it is still hard to make those movies and show them to a wide audience, Paul Scheer and The Black List are now collaborating on a podcast where the episodes are based on those featured unproduced screenplays.

With Scheer involved, there’s probably going to be a bit of heightening involved, but we’re more than looking forward to what most of Hollywood is missing out on being presented in audio form.

This new podcast premieres Thurs. on Wolfpop.

We really enjoyed Jason Nash’s “Jason Nash Is Married” last year and thus we think Nash’s latest film FML: A Social Media Adventure could use your help.

Interestingly enough, Nash’s last film featured him doing a podcast as that was what he was doing at the time when he was putting the film together.

Nowadays, Jason has become quite the star on Vine with over 1.5 million followers. As such, he’s making this film with Vine stars as a buddy road comedy with two guys, him as one and Brandon Calvillo as the other, from much different generations trying to up their social media presence.

The likes of TJ Miller, Patton Oswalt, Rob Corddry, Busy Philipps, Ken Marino, Andy Daly, and Paul Scheer will be in FML as well as Vine stars Cavillo, Brittany Furlan, and Sunny Mabrey.

They’re looking to raise $200K and are at $22,663 with less than three weeks to go. If you want to help and donate, do so here ASAP.

Comedy, as you probably know is, something that takes a good deal of time to become great, even if you’re talented. Knowing that, Jacob Reed and Justin Michael’s Before You Were Funny web series at Funny or Die takes a look at the past of comedy folks who are now hysterical, but, back then, were raw and green like everyone else starting out in their comedy careers.

This episode looks at a sketch Paul Scheer never figured out and is read as well as critiqued by Andy Daly and Kristen Schaal.

Watch it here, then get evidence of Scheer’s comedic brilliance with season 1 of NTSF:SD:SUV on DVD.

How does Klown presented by Sacha Baron Cohen or Ghostbusters presented by Paul Scheer sound? Something that’s both great and you would’ve never imagined happening you say?

Well, luckily, The 4th Annual Wayne Federman International Film Festival, the festival that brings comedians and their favorite films together at Cinefamily, has both of the aforementioned events as well as MacGruber star Will Forte presenting a screening of none other than MacGruber.

Every year Federman gets together a great handful of these screenings, but this year’s line-up seems primed to be especially great.

The 4th WFIFF runs from Thurs. Mar. 5th-Sun. Mar. 7th at Cinefamily and you can and should get tickets now.

We highly suggest ditching out on Valentine’s Day, especially if you’re not obligated to celebrate it with your significant other, and/or 50 Shades of Grey and enjoy yourself to some fine comedy if you’re anywhere in or around Colorado.

It’s fantastic that almost the entire original cast of Wet Hot American Summer is returning to do the upcoming Netflix series.

It’s also pretty great that they’ll have some new “members” with some of indie comedy’s favorite players including Michaela Watkins, Randall Park (who you saw as Kim Jong-Un in The Interview), Lake Bell, John Slattery, Jayma Mays, Paul Scheer, and Rob Huebel.

It would almost seem that the first poster alone for this new Wet Hot American Summer will be barely able to contain this even bigger, great ensemble cast.
