The latest day/episode of Comedy Central’s experiment of Comedians Crashing Couches where Nikki Glaser stays at the place of a bunch young people has led to a friendly football game.

Unfortunately, Nikki has volunteered to play without knowing too many of the rules and has recruited Emmy Blotnick, Henry Phillips, Brody Stevens, and Chris Fairbanks in a button down to play against one of her current roommates.

Watch it all go down here while you take a break from possibly watching pro football.

Nikki Glaser Continues to Crash/Survive at a House of YouTubers

Comedy Central’s web series Comedians Crashing Couches goes forward with Nikki Glaser trying to not go crazy in a house full of people that make YouTube videos for a living in an attempt to see what makes Comedy Central’s viewership tick.

As a result, she tries making her first rap collaboration/“haul video” and then does a yard sale to clean up a room that is used as a closet because no one’s individual closet is big enough for any of their stuff.

Needless to say, Glaser seems like she’s having quite the time rooming with several twentysomethings.

Arguably the audio equivalent of YouTube, Soundcloud has established itself as one of the top services in their niche. They’re now going to implement ads and a potential subscription service with a handful of partners in order for those partners to generate their own revenue with their content.

So far, ads from Comedy Central could play on audio content from Earwolf, AST Records, Funny or Die, or JASH. If this direction continues, this could be a new avenue for podcasts or comedy albums looking to monetize themselves.

Please note, this is probably NSFW.

If this gets picked up, don’t be surprised to see a surge in sales of Bob Seger albums.

Last night’s Nathan For You featured Nathan Fielder possibly at his most determined as he attempted to boost the sales of a toy ball called a “doink-it” by a very “mudslinging-esque” aggressive marketing campaign. The toy company that makes the “doink-it” was more than hesitant about Nathan’s plan, but, needless to say, Nathan didn’t play around.

So, Parks and Recreation took Best Comedy Series, Best Actor [Adam Scott], Best Supporting Actor [Nick Offerman] while Drunk History took Best Variety Series. Of course, perennial award winner Modern Family had to sneak in a win as well with Best Guest Actress [Elizabeth Banks].

Nikki Glaser Is Investigating Comedy Central’s Core Demographic by Crashing on a Couch

To further tap into the zeitgeist, Comedy Central is doing some “investigating” of their core demographic of young people.

More specifically, they’re sending the very funny Nikki Glaser and her producer Emmy Blotnick to a house full of young, creative types to crash on their couch and gather data, however that’s supposed to work. From that, they made a web series aptly called Comedians Crashing Couches.

The first two episodes are up and more so than finding out what the kids are into these days, we’re wondering if Nikki will stay sane through the whole process.

Comedy Central makes another great move by ordering a talk show pilot from the amazing Kurt Braunohler. Braunohler’s Roustabout hasn’t even premiered yet and the network is already wanting more from Kurt, which should be a really good sign for what’s to come.

If you were at the last Riot LA Comedy Festival, you probably got to see the last incarnation of a Kurt Braunohler talk show, which featured interviewing guests with a lie detector test, several “mistimed” surprises, and a second line leading the whole audience through the streets of downtown LA to an after party.

Let’s hope that some semblance of that will make it to the Gettin’ Some Strange pilot.

If you were potentially worried that you might not get to see the index finger of Chris Hardwick point to any number of comedians while yelling out “Points!” in 2015, then potentially worry no more.

As Hardwick stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he announced that the midnight hit at Comedy Central “@midnight” has been picked up for another year at Comedy Central and will run through 2015.

Chris and Jimmy also joked about the possibility of doing a crossover episode with this renewal, but we wouldn’t be surprised at all if The Tonight Show and “@midnight” despite their time slot conflict, did some sort of crossover.

They’ve done some crazy things on “@midnight” in case you haven’t regularly watched it.

She doesn’t so much as say whether or not that she’s running for a certain office so much as she engages in some high level hijinks with Colbert.

Nathan For You Comes Up With a Way to Invite People to a Party That You Don’t Like But Feel Obligated To Invite Anyway

The latest exploits of the ever enterprising Nathan Fielder involves an online invitation service, an annoying person that one would know too well, and Nathan’s go to Bill Gates impersonator.

If that’s not enticing enough, the plan to develop a service where you could send certain invites to people that, perhaps, you work with, but don’t like and it would go directly to their spam folder.

That’s pretty clever, but the “test party” that Nathan throws to see if the service works is even better because that Bill Gates impersonator is there.
