You’ve Never Seen a Comedian Destroying Heckler Go This Far (Thanks to Ahamed Weinberg and Mekki Leeper)

January 31, 2022
News
ahamed weinberg, chad damiani, comedian destroys heckler, heckler, mekki leeper

With the advent of YouTube and Jamie Kennedy’s documentary, one of the most popular things to watch, especially when it comes to stand-up comedy, is comedians handling unruly audience members heckling them and roasting them into an ash-ridden crisp. You’ve probably gone down a rabbit hole yourself looking up ‘comedian destroys heckler’ videos and lord knows that there are comics out there that have largely made it their brand to annihilate drunk and/or angry people that will not shut up.

The ever clever Ahamed Weinberg and Mekki Leeper “found” themselves at a whole other level of where a comedian destroying a heckler could go, almost like nothing you’ve seen before (mostly because none of the Bourne movies ever start out with a comedian).

Watch and enjoy the craziest heckler destroying a comedian video on IG here.

Pick of the Day: Stand up and Clown (in LA) 2/7

It is our firm belief that when the different disciplines of comedy get cross-pollinated that some of the best, most boundary pushing comedy gets made. We also believe that Chad Damiani “live directing” (or ruthlessly roasting) people attempting clown is some of the funniest things we’ve ever seen.

Stand Up and Clown will combine all of that comedy goodness into a crucible of glorious failure and celebratory stupidity. Basically, Damiani, a veteran of the clowning and improv world will do his “live directing” of great stand-up comedians trying their hand at clown.

This first edition has a bunch of wondrous LA comedians that we can’t wait to see under Chad’s gun including:

  • Babs Gray
  • Morgan Jay
  • Christina Catherine Martinez
  • Kyle Mizono
  • Jessy Morner-Ritt
  • Ify Nwadiwe
  • Anna Seregina
  • Ahamed Weinberg

This inaugural Stand Up and Clown will happen at The Elysian on Mon. Feb. 7th at 9:30PM PT. Tickets are $12 right now and you really ought to get your tickets ASAP here.

Ahamed Weinberg Continues to Attempt His YouTube Prank Show During a Pandemic, This Time at the Beach

News
ahamed weinberg, chad damiani, pranks

Though he was thrown a massive curveball with his first prank in his “YouTube prank show”, Ahamed Weinberg persists with in trying to make trying to pull pranks while the world is still very much being suffocated by COVID-19.

This second try brings Ahamed to the beach, one of the last refuges of people getting to be outside in nature and enjoying the ocean and sand in between their toes, to wreak some controlled chaos. See how he “fared” and if he actually pulled off a sick prank (or had to deal with a barrage of life lessons).

Watch and enjoy it here.

Watch Ahamed Weinberg Attempt to Start a Prank Show During the Pandemic

News

Thank goodness Ahamed Weinberg survived from having COVID-19 early on in the pandemic so he could bring this.

Remember when enterprising and aspiring YouTubers could openly and freely prank the general public in the before times? That’s just one facet of “normalcy” that we’re all missing so much. Comedian Ahamed Weinberg want that bit of normalcy and has opted to start doing those very type of pranks again where so many wouldn’t dare during this seemingly never-ending pandemic.

Given how tense and scared everyone is these days, there’s no telling what’s going to happen and if there will be very real, serious reprecussions when there’s a hooligan loose on the streets. See what happens with Ahamed’s first prank here.

Whatsup guys I am officially pivoting my brand to become a youtube prank comedian! Check out my channel. Subscribe, Follow and Smash that Like.

The Comedy Bureau Field Report Ep. 5: Ahamed Weinberg/Nick Nemeroff & Quarantine Beef

April 29, 2020
News, The Comedy Bureau Field Report
ahamed weinberg, nick nemeroff, quarantine life, stand up comedy

Well, this was a wild one. Let’s just say that as the weeks have gone on, quarantine is driving people up the wall even if they just fully recovered from contracting COVID-19 like Ahamed Weinberg or released an amazing comedy album The Pursuit of Comedy Has Ruined My Life like Nick Nemeroff. Both are very, very funny comedians that are on the upswing right now and yet, these uncertain times can still throw a wrench in everything as was shown in their wayward “conversation” with TCB’s Jake Kroeger. All of that said, there is a Parks and Recreation reunion, Jamel Johnson’s new audience-less special Friend or Foe, and even three one-hour long improv specials from Middleditch & Schwartz to really help us not go stir crazy like Ahamed, Nick, and Jake.

Follow Ahamed @ahamedweinberg on Instagram & Twitter and do the same for Nick Nemeroff @nicknemeroff. Once again, get Nemeroff’s fantastic album The Pursuit of Comedy Has Ruined My Life. The Comedy Bureau @thecomedybureau across platforms and please, please support TCB via GoFundMe, Patreon, or on Venmo (@jakekroeger).

You might have already gotten on board with the fantastic web series Please Understand Me from Ahamed Weinberg and Steven Feinartz or heard about from us, especially since it was one of our favorite things in comedy of 2018.

Naturally, we’re excited to find and subsequently tell you here that new episodes of the series that has real therapists have to deal with comedy folk having the most dysfunctional relationships that they can play up will be coming soon. Additionally, previously unreleased episodes of Please Understand Me that feature Kate Berlant, Johnny Pemberton, Punkie Johnson, and series co-creator Ahamed Weinberg will be finding their way online too.

Until then, rewatch (or discover) the whole show here.

Via Instagram, comedian/filmmaker/actor Ahamed Weinberg indeed did scream at public places that ranged from the LA Zoo to an Armed Forces Recruiting Center to an Ikea and much much more for a few bucks.

Lest you judge too quickly, know that the stunt was pulled to raise money for the Throat Cancer Foundation and raise awareness in general of throat cancer and it’s horribly debilitating effects (Ahamed got a nice thank you note if you needed proof).

There are so many levels that you can enjoy this from the catharsis that comes from yelling into the void to yelling in unsuspecting environs to the hot dog costume that Ahamed dons in some of the videos. Please enjoy it all here.

There are so many benefit shows these days that are supporting so many causes. Working towards a resolution and peace between Israel and Palestine is definitely such a cause and this show, with a terrific line-up, is definitely not one to miss.

Tickets are $18 and you should go get them here.

The idea of showing comedians in therapy gets taken to the next level with Please Understand Me from the brilliant duo of Ahamed Weinberg and Steven Feinartz.

In this web series, fictional stories are made up for pairs of comedians who sit down with actual therapists, accented with colorful interstitial flashbacks. Of course, the stories themselves are perfectly ridiculous and played to perfection by a great cast, which includes many of our favorite comedy folks such as Rory Scovel, Natalie Palamides, Mo Collins, Fred Melamed, Steph Tolev, Ismael Loutfi, Ahamed, Juzo Yoshida, Chad Damiani, Phil Burgers, and Punkie Johnson.

Go enjoy Please Understand Me’s first two episodes right now on Facebook Watch and check back weekly for new episodes.

Before 2017 rolls in for America, please enjoy, thanks to AOK, a slightly more realistic depiction of what would take if the beloved Power Rangers of your childhood did as much as damage as they were shown to do.

For some reason, even though it’s not 2017 yet, this seems to capture the spirit of 2017.
