Paul Rudd Will Be The New Spokesman for Hyundai

September 10, 2014
Uncategorized

(via Variety)

Paul Rudd has just signed on to be a celebrity spokesman for Korean based carmaker Hyundai. Though his voice has been used to narrate some TV spots already, we hope that he’ll get to do some crazy things a la Ron Burgundy and Dodge rather than just highlighting the latest features of Hyundai’s latest fleet of cars.

Wouldn’t it be great if he sold cars as Kunu?

John Hodgman spent so many of his efforts trying to “prepare” for us for an apocalypse that, alas, never came to pass. He revealed that he has come  to terms with this while on Conan in addition to start smoking weed.

Just as fascinating, one of Hodgman’s original day jobs, which was a so-called “traffic counter”, may or may not be a real job.

You can also buy the aforementioned Ragnarok Survival Kits that John mentions right here.

IFC’s biggest series are getting into production for their latest seasons and, of course, they have quite the guest star list.

Pitchfork reports that a nice roster of bands will be featured on Comedy Bang! Bang! including The National, Lonely Island, Future Islands, and The Flaming Lips. Presumably, there will be some great jamming between them and Comedy Bang! Bang’s band leader Reggie Watts.

Splitsider has found through Carrie Brownstein’s Instagram that Natasha Lyonne, Jeff Goldblum, and Jane Lynch, amongst others will join Fred Armisen and Carrie in Portlandia.

So, we can’t wait for the premiere of either of these.

Hader thankfully talked about both things while on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week all for our enjoyment. Perhaps, the Kasem bit will make Seth Meyers’ Second Chance Theater?

As of this post being written, the current bid is $620 and the auction will end in just less than a week. Also, do note, if you do win the auction, that the prop spaceship itself as it looks larger than life, it weighs somewhere around half a ton, probably heavier than most stuff in your life. As Rick would say, Wubadubdubdub.

Kurt is willing to put up his limited edition “Keep It Dry” towels for those who donate. So, you have until the midnight tonight before the campaign ends.

Also, getting a towel that says “keep it dry” could double as a symbol of solidarity in conserving water during this California draught.
