AMC Picks Nerdist’s All-Star Celebrity Bowling to Series
The Nerdist continues to grow its great empire as AMC has picked up the great Nerdist’s web series All-Star Celebrity Bowling. The amazing Sklar Brothers will host Chris Hardwick and Team Nerdist bowling and, more importantly, trash talking another team, which might be the cast of a show, movie, etc.
Not only will this be a fun TV series, but, how good the web series was, this might just put bowling back on the map.
There Will Be a Bob’s Burgers Comic Book Coming Out This Summer
That’s right. Bob’s Burgers is going to expand to having its own comic book like many Fox animated series have done in the past.
It’s set to release in August from Dynamite Entertainment and will be completely be written and illustrated by the folks behind Bob’s Burgers.
So, we think it will definitely stay true to the show.
When it comes to awarding the best on the Internet, the Internet doesn’t need fancy people handing statues in a giant theater during a telecast. It has Patton Oswalt on your on show on horseback with trumpets announcing his arrival.

The Coen Brothers’ Next Film To Be “Hail Caesar” Set in 1950s Hollywood
Hail Caesar, The Coen Brothers’ next project, will focus on how the classic Hollywood studio system worked tirelessly to protect the reputation of their stars. Specifically, they’ll follow a “fixer” who was hired by studio brass to keep the glamorous lives of celebrities glamorous.
Just based off of their last foray of old Hollywood, Barton Fink, this should be a lot of fun.

The countdown to the end of David Letterman’s tenure as the host The Late Show has already begun (even though it’s vague as to when that would exactly be). With that in mind, there’s a few things we’d like to see one more time on Letterman before he goes.

Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis Reteam for Richard Linklater’s “Larry’s Kidney”
Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis have quite the slate coming up, both individually and together. Already, Galifianakis is going to be in a Ferrell/McKay production, Will, and now, Zach and Ferrell will be co-starring together in a new Richard Linklater film, Larry’s Kidney.
On top of all these great people being attached, the movie is based on a book called Being the True Story of How I Found Myself in China with My Black Sheep Cousin and His Mail-Order Bride, Skirting the Law to Get Him a Transplant–and Save His Life.
So, we’re definitely into this and hope it gets rolling into production soon.

The very funny Andy Haynes is about to release his very stand-up album later this month on Tues. May 27th.
Just for the fact that it’s his first album and he’s calling it Greatest Hits" with a cover of him puffing deep, you should look out for it in a few weeks. Also, you should pick this up because, as we mentioned, Andy’s really funny.

Jonathan Ames Adapting Icelandic Dramedy “World’s End” for Showtime
It’s good to see that Jonathan Ames has kept plenty busy since Bored to Death got cancelled. With a series already at Starz, Ames is now working on his next project World’s End, which is based on Iceland’s award winning comedy series Heimsendir.
No word on any of the cast, but we have no doubt that Ames will get a pretty impressive ensemble.

The amazing Kurt Braunohler is setting for possibly his biggest comedy feat yet in raising enough money to send goats to African families. The “comedy feat” part comes in Kurt attempting to jet ski from Chicago to New Orleans.
So, Kurt is jet skiing for goats and the betterment of mankind. He is looking to raise $50,000 by June 30th via Indiegogo. When Kurt goes on a jet ski right through the middle of the U.S., Comedy Central will document it in Kurt’s Roustabout web series.

Rifftrax’s Next Big Simulcast Is Taking on 1998’s Godzilla
Rifftrax, many of the guys behind MST3K, have been riffing on movies in one-off nationwide simulcast performances broadcast live into theaters near you for some time now. Their latest project is riffing on the 1998 American made version of Godzilla starring Matthew Broderick.
They’ve raised enough money via Kickstarter to fund this project, but they’re still donations. Thus, Rifftrax will be riffing on Godzilla on Aug. 14th.
Simon Pegg-Monty Python’s ‘Absolutely Anything’ Scores Strong International Sales
The sci-fi comedy Absolutely Anything starring Simon Pegg, many members of Monty Python, and Kate Beckinsale as well as Eddie Izzard and Rob Riggle has done quite well in selling rights across the globe at Cannes.
The movie has only just finished shooting, but it has sold rights in European, Middle Eastern, and Asian/Australian territories. Hopefully, the American rights will be sold so we’re guaranteed to see Absolutely Anything stateside.
