As part of working on an upcoming book, BoJack Horseman, creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg will be putting up an exclusive live reading of excerpts of the book (well before it’s release) performed by some of his favorite folks.

“Raphael Bob-Waksberg Works Through Some Sh*t (With Friends!)” is happening next weekend and we’re guessing tickets are going to go fast. So, buy them up as soon as you can here.

Blending a show and semi-fictional parties together, CleftClips’ Toasty allows comedians to give the toasts that they have always dreamed of. It’s one of our all time favorite shows and the line-up for the latest edition, as you can see above, is stellar.

Tickets are $20 (the venue is small, so they will be limited and you should get them sooner rather than later), and cocktail attire is required.

Unlike most other things, comedy gets pretty serious on April Fool’s Day.

So, naturally, several great shows will be happening, one of which will be this No Joke presented by 2525 in DTLA as you can see in the flyer above.

Tickets range from $7 for earlybirds to $15 for all night entry to make sure you get in and get a good spot for the show. Also, part of the proceeds go to Planned Parenthood.

We don’t really think we need to do much convincing here.

After all, it is a live reading of cult classic Plan 9 From Outer Space presented by Dana Gould that features David Koechner, Jonah Ray, Paul F. Tompkins, Bobcat Goldthwait, Janet Varney, puppets by the talented Pam Severns, and so much more at Largo.

You’ve probably read all of that on the flyer, but, in case you needed it, we wanted the repetition to sink in the notion how awesome this night will be.

Tickets are still available at $30 a pop here.

One Jason Van Glass will be attempting to do 10+ hours of improv at The Clubhouse this coming Wednesday.

That might be breaking some kind of record. Even if it’s not, it’s an impressive feat to take on and he’s doing it for a great cause (collecting donations for the Southern Poverty Law Center) AND will have a great line-up of fellow improvisers joining him throughout throughout the whole run.

They’re finally doing another version of it next week and you really ought to not miss it.

The Bitch Seat, hosted by Lyssa Mandel, is a very entertaining version of show and tell that features comedians who probably never thought that they would have to do show and tell again, much less with things that possibly make them cringe about their childhood.

This LA edition of Bitch Seat (it’s based in NYC), is happening this Friday and tickets are only $5. You can (and should) get them here.

He’ll be doing an extended set at UCB Sunset next Wednesday, March 29th at 10:30PM that you shouldn’t miss.

In fact, knowing Joe, there might even be some truth to him allowing “anyone to drive his mid-size rental car wherever they would like to go” after the show.

We Still Like You features stories from funny people where they are definitely not the hero. There’s live illustration and, at the end, the audience gets to cathartically exclaim “WE STILL LIKE YOU!” Also, it’s in the intimate setting of someone’s house.

A unifying bond of comedians is the painful, cringeworthy start that they all had. Giulia Rozzi’s show First Set gathers comedians that are very funny and revisits those beginnings as well as contrasts it with honed, well-crafted comedy that they currently do. It’s like Mortified, but specifically for stand-up.
