Don Rickles Roasts Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on “The Tonight Show”
Would you expect anything less from Mr. Warmth Don Rickles?
Watch and enjoy Jimmy and The Roots take a good roast session with Rickles.

Watch and enjoy Jimmy and The Roots take a good roast session with Rickles.
Having expanded from his stand-up into movies and his very own TV show, Jerrod Carmichael has now gotten to go from the stage on late night to the couch.
Of course, Jerrod takes to chatting and laughing it up with Jimmy Fallon like a natural. Watch it here.
The exuberant Russell Howard finally made a return from the UK to do stand-up on U.S. television after doing Conan a few years ago.
Last night, he made yet another good case on The Tonight Show for why you should know his name on this side of the pond.
Watch his set here to see why.
You’re going to watch the Wet Hot American Summer prequel series on Netflix, right? Of course, you are.
So, knowing that, creators David Wain and Michael Showalter opted to talk less about the show and go for a great bit that interrupts their interview.
Also, be sure to watch Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp on July 31st on Netflix.
We’re almost two months away from Trevor Noah taking the reins to The Daily Show.
So, just as Jon Stewart is gearing up for his exit with tributes, goodbyes, montages, etc., Trevor is making his stops on the talk show circuit leading up to the premiere of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah on Sept. 28th. This week, he started with The Tonight Show.
Watch Trevor fit right in with riffing with Jimmy about the election and how he was dared into doing stand-up.
Whether you’re meeting her family or you’re meeting Tig Notaro, odds are that you’re going to have an unforgettable experience.
Certainly, Tig fiancé had what will be an unforgettable first meet and greet of Tig’s family as Notaro recounted in a story on The Tonight Show.
Right after that, Tig went to the couch and told a story to Jimmy Fallon, that apparently Jimmy Fallon forgot, of how they first met. This experience is something that Jimmy will probably remember this time around.
All in all, it’s classic, unforgettable Tig.
In making the rounds to promote her new movie Trainwreck, which you should go see this weekend because it’s pretty damn funny, Amy Schumer stopped by The Tonight Show to roast Fallon’s now infamous finger, the newly attained level of fame she’s gotten from starring in her first movie, and how that’s allowed her to pull a really sweet prank on Katie Couric.
Not that it should surprise you, but Schumer is becoming quite the go-to late night guest.
When you opt to wear the Women’s World Cup championship t-shirt, red, white, and blue headband and shorts on late night, you’re probably in the top percentile of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.
That’s exactly the outfit that Jon Glaser sported on The Tonight Show and he wasn’t afraid to verbalize his support either.
Aziz Ansari not only is kicking off the release of his book Modern Romance that exhaustively tries to break down modern relationships and dating with a tour, but he went on The Tonight Show last night to give us all a real life sample of what you’ll get in the book.
For a whole segment, Aziz and Jimmy Fallon read the very first text message conversations that people had when trying to flirt with each other. Even though you didn’t send any of these messages, you’ll cringe and laugh.
Watch it here and get Modern Romance here.
Seriously, Colin Quinn should be on Law & Order. It probably wouldn’t be as weird that one time Stephen Colbert was on it.
Last night, Colin Quinn took The Tonight Show stage to do stand-up and focused on living in NYC for years while Law & Order has also been shot in NYC for years and somehow not being featured in the show. If anything, Cop Show should guarantee him something, but, alas, Quinn has to settle for being one of NYC’s funniest.
How much do you wanna bet that the pre-interview for this didn’t go past, “Well, Kristen’s just going to come as Khaleesi.”?
In her tradition of showing up as famous personalities that she, seemingly on purpose, doesn’t research all that much, Kristen Wiig came on to The Tonight Show as Game of Thrones’ Khaleesi. It’s probably the best way to promote her movie, Welcome To Me, about a slightly abnormal person winning the lottery and making their own talk show as well.
Of course, Wiig didn’t disappoint and we’d like to think that Westeros would just come under this Khaleesi’s rule by her charm alone rather than the threat of dragons.
Now that The Deep Webbys are taken care of, you move on back to normal society with the winners of this year’s Webby Awards.
Chelsea Peretti, Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Funny or Die, Cracked.com, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, If Google Was a Guy, Kid President, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kids React, Too Many Cooks, Weird Al Yankovic, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Honest Trailers, Epic Rap Battle, Grumpy Cat, Last Week Tonight, and The Onion will all receive the Internet’s high honor of a Webby Award for their excellence online this year among dozens of categories and hundreds of nominees.
We’re curious if every comedy winner will be part of a bit on the Webby Awards ceremony with Hannibal next month.
It’s no secret that Nate Bargatze is one of Fallon’s favorite comics and you can see why with every set he’s done on Late Night and The Tonight Show including this one from last night.
Bargatze returned to the stage adjacent to Fallon’s desk once more and gave us some insight about how he, and probably many more people if they were being honest, would fare as a time traveler.
Watch his set here and be sure to catch his hour stand-up special Full Time Magic on Comedy Central on May 2nd at midnight.
Louie is back Thurs. night, which brings another added treat of C.K. doing great rounds at late night and a bunch of fascinating, unfiltered interviews.
On The Tonight Show, Louis C.K. went one unbelievable story right after the other of being the head writer on the short lived Dana Carvey Show and making sure Jimmy Fallon, who apparently is hearing the story for the first time live on TV, didn’t get on the show, then detailing how had to go on stage with poop in his pants at a black tie event, stand alongside Mayor Bill De Blasio.
C.K. also reminisced about the harder, struggle-ridden days of doing stand-up in New York City both on The Tonight Show and in an in-depth interview with The Hollywood Reporter and how appreciative of it he is now.
Also, we’re pretty sure you can see a picture from Louis’ story about standing next to De Blasio with poop in his pants in the THR interview.
The Internet’s own Webby Awards just announced the nominees for this year amongst hundreds of categories. We sifted through it all to bring you the comedy relevant ones whether it would be a humor category or something funny that got nominated including Too Many Cooks, Funny or Die, The Tonight Show, Key & Peele, BoJack Horseman, The ArScheerio Paul Show, Grumpy Cat, or High Maintenance.

The winners will be announced May 18th with host Hannibal Buress presiding over the ceremony.
You can check out the massive list of nominees here.
So, as far as we can see, Will Ferrell does more movies just so he can do whatever he wants on talk shows.
Apparently, following Get Hard, Ferrell signed a contract to be Little Debbie and promote Little Debbie snacks. He showed up in full Little Debbie garb last night on The Tonight Show and committed to it for the whole interview.
With such dedication, it’s no mystery as to why acting royalty Meryl Streep has a crush on him.

NBC must be taking cues from how well comedy does online with the dedicated fan bases of The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Community as they’re now developing a subscription online service targeted for comedy. It’s not clear how this service will work specifically, but if it’s more like HBO GO, then that’s probably a step in the right direction.
NBC is saying episodes of The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live will be available, we’re more curious about the fates of the aforementioned Office, Parks and Rec, etc. and whether they will be taken off of Hulu and Netflix to live exclusively at this NBC streaming service.
Also, more content will be developed for this service, which, we hope means that they will be putting more backing behind certain pilots like Adam Scott and Joe Mande’s dispensary comedy.
The latest game on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tries bring a little more gravity by merely having to choose between telling the truth or telling the truth.
Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer were more than up to the task in playing Truth or Truth with Fallon. Watch it here.

Conan O’Brien is having a pretty amazing year as far in taking his show out of the studio. The fantastic remotes aside, he already has a trip to Comic-Con scheduled for later this year and now, he has traveled to Cuba since sanctions had been lifted by Obama to tape an episode.
Tonight Show host Jack Paar was the last late night talk show from the U.S. to do so all the way back in 1962 when he chatted with Fidel Castro.
We’re not sure what’s going to happen, but we’re sure Conan is going to make some comedy gold out of riding in old cars and visiting a cigar factory. We’ll find out when the episode airs Mar. 4th.
In promotion of the upcoming Jack and Triumph Show on Adult Swim, Jack McBrayer, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and Robert Smigel’s hair (Smigel is the hand and voice that makes up Triumph if you didn’t know) all made an appearance on The Tonight Show last night.
Triumph took every opportunity he could to work in a zinger even during a round of Catchphrase.
Our guess is that this is only a fraction of the fun trouble that Jack and Triumph get to on their own show.
Kyle Kinane is already off to a fantastic 2015. His latest special I Liked His Old Stuff Better was great and now he just notched in a marvelous set on The Tonight Show.
Hopefully, this means Kyle can avoid doing awful college gigs where mascots have to get involved like this one he shares a story about backstage.
Following The Super Bowl, another fierce contest went down on a special episode of The Tonight Show with Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, and Jimmy Fallon moving their mouths in sync with pre-recorded music playing.
Ferrell, Hart, and Fallon all went for an all-out Lip Sync Battle, which does include Ferrell doing Drunk In Love.
UK comedian Simon Amstell has already been on David Letterman’s stage at The Ed Sullivan Theater twice doing stand-up.
Now, Amstell is on to the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and continuing to kill it with his cleverly thoughtful comedy working his way into the hearts and minds of Americans tuning into late night.
The game Pictionary is simple enough as it’s basically charades, but utilizing drawing rather than acting out. It’s also been a game for several years, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable that people playing it would be, at least, decent at guessing words and phrases from drawings.
However, the duos of Martin Short/Jimmy Fallon and Jerry Seinfeld/Miranda Sings made for one great, rare edition of Pictionary on The Tonight Show that might be one of the more ridiculous, outlandish games that has ever been played.
We shouldn’t really need to say anything beyond the headline. You’re just going to watch Jim Gaffigan do stand-up on The Tonight Show because he’s Jim Gaffigan.
So, without further adieu, here’s his set from last night.
