Of the wide ranging podcast subgenre that is comedians rewatching episodes of institutional television shows, one of the best out there is Liza Treyger and Kara Klenk‘s That’s Messed Up. Not only is there plenty to please the most exacting true crime fan with deep dives into the real life stories behind episodes of Law & Order: SVU, but Liza and Kara’s whipsmart comedic instincts make for an enthralling listen. The duo really make it stand out from it being your typical rewatch podcast.

They’re such a power duo with That’s Messed Up they’re currently on tour and they’ll be coming through to NYC at City Winery on Sat. Dec. 16th at 6PM starting at $30 and you best get your tickets here quick. Dun dun.

This show normally features a very, very well-executed improvised episode of Law & Order by the excellent improv team Some Kinda Monster and this week, it’ll feature a very, very special guest in the actual Law & Order: SVU star Chris Meloni.

Needless to say, you need to see this “very special episode” of Dramedy this Thursday. Get your tickets here quick.

Improv inspired by specifically, out-of-context clips of dramatic films and TV on top of an improvised episode of Law & Order from Some Kinda Monster is one of our favorite improv shows.

Come catch their first show of 2018 at UCB Sunset this week where Colton Dunn (NBC’s Superstore), Phil Jackson (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Key and Peele) will be joining them.

Get tickets here.

Colin Quinn Makes a Great Case For Feeling Jealous About Not Being on Law & Order

Seriously, Colin Quinn should be on Law & Order. It probably wouldn’t be as weird that one time Stephen Colbert was on it.

Last night, Colin Quinn took The Tonight Show stage to do stand-up and focused on living in NYC for years while Law & Order has also been shot in NYC for years and somehow not being featured in the show. If anything, Cop Show should guarantee him something, but, alas, Quinn has to settle for being one of NYC’s funniest.

Watch his set here.
