Henry Phillips’ Henry’s Kitchen Is Back and Now Putting on a “Masterclass”

October 22, 2018

If the myth of Sisyphus were translated into a modern day form (that also happened to be one of the funniest things on the Internet), it just might be Henry Phillips and his existential laden attempts at hosting a cooking show.

That show, of course, is called Henry’s Kitchen and is indeed one of our all time favorite web series and just got a whole new lease on life via Thrillist to do a “Masterclass”. In it, Henry gets an even nicer kitchen to ponder point of it all while doing his best with/botching whatever he’s cooking.

Dive in with this first entry Green Onions and then a whole row of new eps here.

H. Jon Benjamin’s “Failure Is An Option: An Attempted Memoir” Out Now

Though it may not come as a surprise to you that a man that released a jazz album where he played piano without knowing how to play piano wrote a memoir about failure, H. Jon Benjamin’s love affair with failing is something to behold.

Failure Is An Option: An Attempted Memoir really delves into the nuances and various facets of failure, specifically in Benjamin’s life, in his wry fashion and is undoubtedly a cathartic read in these times we live in.

True to form, Benjamin didn’t even praise this book that he wrote when appearing to promote it on Colbert this week, which, ironically, is a pretty clever sell for a book about screwing up being OK.

You can now get Failure Is An Option from Penguin Random House here.

Pick-up lines are pretty much a bad idea, especially these days when most people would prefer a pre-arranged social media based arrangement to meet rather than being talked to by strangers.

Comedy Central’s interactive web series CC:Social Scene sees how much of a disaster can come about with trying to say pick-up lines.

Spoiler alert: it gets pretty disastrous.

Aziz Ansari not only is kicking off the release of his book Modern Romance that exhaustively tries to break down modern relationships and dating with a tour, but he went on The Tonight Show last night to give us all a real life sample of what you’ll get in the book.

For a whole segment, Aziz and Jimmy Fallon read the very first text message conversations that people had when trying to flirt with each other. Even though you didn’t send any of these messages, you’ll cringe and laugh.

Fast Company Gives You a Heads Up On How You Come Off When Flirting at Work

Business know-it-all Fast Company has a good idea of what flirting at work looks like in theory and what it looks like in actual practice.

So, as part of a web series based off misconceived notions of how you well you think you’re doing at the office, they’ve put together a handy guide for what you really sound and look like when attempting to lay down the charm, thick.
