All working comedians have their hell gig stories and they’re usually all funny after the fact, but terrifying in their conception. Big Jay Oakerson’s story from performing in Atlantic City is definitely one to remember, especially because Kevin Hart will deny certain parts of it happening.

Watch as Big Jay tells it on The Pete Holmes Show.

TBS Cancels The Pete Holmes Show After Two Cycles

Unable to convince TBS that enough people were watching with Conan as a lead-in, TBS has decided to cancel The Pete Holmes Show. The last episode will air on June 19th and there’s no word as to whether there will be another late night show or possibly something else to follow Conan on weeknights.

Though this is a living wake of sorts, RIP The Pete Holmes Show.

Many times on late night shows, guests will have a pre-interview to determine what they will talk about on that night’s episode and roughly estimate how the interview will go. Often, that results in guests being weird facsimiles of themselves.

However, Tig Notaro did no such thing on The Pete Holmes Show last night and she was her wonderfully, unflinchingly honest self in doing an impression that only her girlfriend is impressed by and being the world’s first “cool down” comedian.
