Christian Finnegan Does Stand Up on Ferguson
NYC’s very funny Christian Finnegan was in LA this week to do, so we found out, stand up on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Watch the nicely done set from Finnegan here.

Chad Daniels comes back to the stage at Conan for his second set at the show. Though they’re are definitely some purists who would disagree, we’re glad to see more comics dressing how they want during the late night sets like Daniels does here with a hoodie and letting their comedy speak for itself.
Watch Chad Daniels return here.
Tom Papa appeared on Conan to do a late night set and takes now a sort of non-traditional stance on smoking by defending it. He’s trying to bring the kale and steak eaters together as well through this set.
The Pete Holmes Show had its first stand up performance last night featuring the very funny Gabe Liedman!
Watch Liedman’s great set and The Pete Holmes Show milestone here.
For Some Reason, Scientists Are Still Trying to Build a Robot That Can Do Stand Up
Apparently, robots that perform micro surgery, manufacturing, and offer challenges to chess grandmasters have been perfected since robotics developers have kept on trying to come up with a reliable stand up comedian robot.
Little do they know that broken animatronic robots (a closer approximation to the human condition, perhaps?) are way funnier that a robot programmed to tell jokes.
Made Man’s latest comedy web series Laugh Trek pits Moshe Kasher and Nick Thune in various stand up competitions that are sort of needlessly difficult and torturous like doing a set over loud electronic music or in front a retirement home crowd.
Still, despite all of that, Moshe and Nick manage to pull off some pretty damn funny stuff. Watch them do stand while K-Pop is playing in the background and/or in front of an adult dodge ball team fully armed to bean them with balls if they’re not funny.
We’re thrilled at the facts that Rhys Darby got to do The Late Show with David Letterman for the first time this past Friday and did so without the seemingly mandatory suit and tie for comedians.
Whether you think wearing a suit might have an effect on the set or not, Rhys was great and you should watch his debut Letterman set now.
Adam Yenser made his first late stand up appearance on Conan last night and showcased his incredibly sharp comedy stylings to plenty of applause breaks.
Pretty good for a late night debut, right? Give it watch here.
Hey America, meet Aparna Nancherla, one of your new favorite comedians (if you haven’t already seen her on Totally Biased). She was on Conan for her late night stand up debut and was all the intelligent, clever, and sublimely silly that we’ve come to know and love.
Conan’s continuing the great classic late night tradition of bringing back very funny stand up comedians that were funny on their program.
Just check Erin Foley’s 2nd set on Conan from last night as a great example.
Conan had the damn funny Mike Lawrence back from last year to do another stand up set and there’s good for reason for that.
Just watch Mike’s applause break filled set here to see why.

First off, let’s have a hand for The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson featuring more great stand up on their wonderful program.
Secondly, let’s have another hand for having that stand up being from the wonderful Andi Osho from across the pond. Watch her American late night stand up debut here.
In promotion of his new memoir “Still Foolin’ Them: Where I’ve Been, Where I’m Going, and Where the Hell Are My Keys”, Billy Crystal stopped by The Daily Show to share some of his tales from doing stand-up back in the day talking of how he opened for Blood, Sweat, and Tears and played with some of the weirder acts back in the Catskills days, Lenny Schultz.
Please watch parts one, two, and three of the interview as they’re fascinating and pretty great.
Amongst the huddles of comedians, there are comparatively very few, especially nowadays, who make it to doing a set on a late night talk show. Even rarer is doing a great set, prompting the host to call them over to the couch and chat.
Much more rare, probably because it has never happened, is that when a comedian is called over to the couch by Craig Ferguson with Jay Leno sitting beside him after they interjected, admittedly like Statler and Waldorf, during a set that was going pretty great, then hear Leno say, “White men are on their way out! Lesbians rule!”
Well, that’s exactly what happened to the wonderful Cameron Esposito last night when making her late night debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and it was pretty damn hilarious and amazing.
The hysterical Rory Scovel returned to Conan to do stand up again, this time bringing and tuxedo, bow tie, an ornately decorated grand piano, and a piano player all to talk about getting high while grocery shopping.

Two of our favorite comedians to watch right now that America will hopefully know from far and wide are performing tonight on your television (and probably tomorrow on whatever device you watch YouTube on).
Rory Scovel will be back again on Conan (TBS 11PM), which is always fantastic, and the terrific Cameron Esposito will be on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS 12:35AM) making her late night stand up debut.
In short, don’t miss these.
If you want to (and should) learn more about and get life advice from the guy, the hilarious Kurt Braunohler, who did a Kickstarter to write a joke in the sky, please watch his debut stand up set on Conan that taped yesterday right here.
Also, you can and need to pre-order his upcoming album “How Do I Land?”, which gives you the option of getting a commemorative two sided dildo.
The very funny Julian McCullough breaks down Chinatowns and why Jeopardy is better than any show you’re currently watching like Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones in his Conan stand up debut.
We’re really glad that Baron Vaughn got to share the perfect balance he’s struck between silliness, being very insightful, and really funny with The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson audience last night.
Watch his wonderful set on Ferguson here.
It’s great to see that The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is having more stand up featured as of late and done by really funny people as well.
Check out this latest set from Hugh Moore that aired this week as proof.
Dan St. Germain is another great comedian deservedly making his rounds on late night having performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, John Oliver’s NY Stand Up Show, and now, Conan.
Watch his first appearance on Conan here.
Last night on Conan, the very funny Brent Morin made his Conan debut and was walking around in circles and yelling about not being able to talk to girls, which was pretty great.
After years of writing on plenty of late night shows, the very funny Matt Goldich makes his first appearance late night stand-up appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Not that anyone has really thought of the late night stand-up equivalent of an EGOT (someone winning an Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar, and a Tony), but the damn funny Barry Rothbart is coming close with having done Conan, The Tonight Show, and, just last night, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Unfortunately, none of the possible acronyms for such a thing have enough vowels and are short enough to catch on.
Watch Barry’s great set from Ferguson here.
