Colin Quinn’s Cop Show continues to expertly take on the real culprit in police procedural TV series: tired, hackneyed premises and writing.

This time around he has the help of Michael Che.

Perhaps, like Burning Love got on E!, Cop Show will become a show on a network that will schedule it next to episodes of Law & Order, CSI, NCIS, and all their various spin-offs.

Watch the latest episode here.

It’s a new era of late night, so it wouldn’t hurt to make sure that every single crevice of the new Late Late Show set sounds pristine.

It’s bits like this that’ll be why the new Late Late Show host James Corden and bandleader Reggie Watts should be having a lot of unabashed silly fun.

The premiere is less than two weeks away on Mon. Mar. 23rd on CBS.

Colin Quinn Gets Cell Phone Endorsements and Jim Gaffigan on The Latest Episode of “Cop Show”

Colin Quinn’s Cop Show continues its march to parody the oversaturation of police procedurals while also being able to poke fun at itself.

This latest episode showcases just that by having a Jim Gaffigan guest star as an African warlord then also trying to bait cell phone endorsements at the same time.

Someone, somewhere probably has behind the scenes footage of some procedural series that’s exactly like this.

Trevor Moore Makes a Country Anthem For How Ridiculous People Against Gay Marriage Are

Trevor Moore’s new special High in Church premieres this Fri. Mar. 6th at midnight on Comedy Central, but we’ve been getting small previews here and there of the sharp, very clever satire that’s in store.

First there was a parallel universe where cats acted exactly like us and now there’s this new music video for “Gays Got Married” where Moore envisions what people against gay marriage are thinking will happen when gay marriage is passed as law.

Of course, the message seems most poignant when done as a country song.

The great comedy group Wild Horses (Lauren Lapkus, Stephanie Allynne, Mary Holland, Erin Whitehead) show us all that the best thing about a bank heist may not be the big life-changing pay day at the end, but, rather, it’s planning it with your best friends.

Reality shows get the majority of parody send-ups these days, but that doesn’t mean other TV genres should be overlooked when it comes to poking fun at overplayed tropes.

That’s where Colin Quinn’s Cop Show over at L Studio does a bang up job of showing how ridiculous all the police, legal, and investigative procedural shows on television really are.

Adult Swim Will Apparently Be Streaming a Daily Fish Sports Show “FishCenter Live”

Perhaps this is an Adult Swim infomercial that we weren’t awake for over the last week or so, but Adult Swim’s FishCenter Live claims to be “…the world’s only LIVE marine-themed, call-in show. Streaming every weekday at 4PM [EST] (continuous replays start at 7P) at fishcenter.com.”

If you’re asking yourself if this is a sports show that covers sports made up by humans formatted around fish just swimming randomly around a fish tank, then ask yourself no more questions. That’s exactly what it is and when you start watching it, you’ll find, while giggling the whole way through, that you do get sort of invested in the individual fish.

Get an extended preview of it here and then supposedly stream it here weekdays at 4.

If anything, we’ll just be happy to see Quinn back in a series.

(via Deadline)

The top notch parody of reality TV continues in the Burning Love/Hotwives vein as Hulu has just ordered up another season of Hotwives of Orlando.

In a similar fashion to the way The Real Wives franchise, their source material, has spread itself out, Las Vegas will be the new site of this second season of Hotwives. The cast from season 1 will also not be returning, but we’re sure they’ll get a cast that’s just as stellar as Casey Wilson, Kristen Schaal, Tymberlee Hill, Angela Kinsey, Andrea Savage, Danielle Schneider, Matt Besser, Seth Morris, and more.

UPDATE: Original Hotwives set to return.

We now wonder if the Hotwives universe and Burning Love universe will ever cross.
