Due to addressing incendiary remarks regarding a rape case in the comedy community by Kurt Metzger, an Inside Amy Schumer writer, Amy Schumer mysteriously said that the show wasn’t happening anymore, then had to explain through a series of tweets that season 5 of Inside Amy Schumer is going to happen, but “…not for the next year at least.”
So, we might have to wait until the end of 2017, maybe even 2018 for new episodes of the critically acclaimed, award winning sketch show.
Kurt Metzger is playing the Hollywood Improv next month and you absolutely should you not miss it.
You can (and should) get your tickets here.

Part of a great comedy cultural exchange between the U.S. and Canada comes around during the JFL Montreal Comedy Festival when JFL also shoots their stand-up showcase series, Funny as Hell.
As past episodes have been streamed plenty on Seeso, Seeso has opted to make the series more known in the States, especially because of its heavy use of U.S. talent, to order a sixth season that’ll offered on NBC’s comedy streaming service.
There will be more names that’ll be added to the series during the festival, but that line-up alone is reason enough to go watch it.
Want to see the likes of Dave Hill, Jamie Lee, Arden Myrin, Nick Turner, Leonard Ouzts, Sarah Tiana, Kurt Metzger, Martin Monroe, Jim Norton, Jordan Carlos, and more duke it out by talking trash to each other in front of a live audience?
Well, TruTV’s latest series might just be your thing. Comedy Knockout hosted by Damien Lemon features all of the above as well as dastardly punishment for the comics that get knocked out.
See it all for yourself in the trailer.
Look for the series preimere on Thursday, April 21st at 10:30pm on TruTV.

For Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening, Kurt Metzger shares some of the strange tales from growing up as Jehovah’s Witness that fall in the truth-stranger-than-fiction side of things.
More junket interviews should be like this.
At least one of the press junket interviews for Trainwreck has been conducted by someone who isn’t asking the same dull non-interesting questions that comprise most press junket interviews while also being funny.
Kurt Metzger, who writes on Inside Amy Schumer, got to conduct a “completely serious” interview with his boss Amy Schumer and her Trainwreck co-star Vanessa Bayer.
Like we said above, press folks should take a few cues to have more fun at junkets.
Watch it here, then be sure to watch Trainwreck (we saw it and it was great) this Fri. at a theater near you.
You made a New Year’s resolution to listen to more podcasts, right? Well, if you didn’t, you should change whatever your resolution currently is to podcasts because you probably have a better chance of sticking to it and the NYC Podfest is happening this weekend.
Fri. Jan. 9th-Sun. Jan. 11th will see all these great podcasts as well as some freshly added guests including Jessica Williams, Wyatt Cenac, Sasheer Zamata, Rachel Feinstein, Jessi Klein, Hasan Minhaj, Bridget Everett, and Kurt Metzger to name a few.
Get your tickets if you’re in or around or can get to NYC for the week.
The city of San Diego thought it prudent to give one Kurt Metzger a jaywalking ticket while he was walking back from a bar rather than driving.
Little did they know that this great bit on Kurt’s Comedy Central hour long stand-up special White Precious would be the result (spoiler alert: they do not come off as the good guys).
By the way, you should buy White Precious off CC:Stand-Up Direct for $5. It’s pretty damn great.
There are so many theories on why the economy in this country is the way that it is. None explain it quite the way Kurt Metzger explains it.
Just watch this clip from his upcoming hour special Kurt Metzger: White Precious (premiering Fri. Jul. 11th at 11PM on Comedy Central) and see how well his explanation holds up.
The Approval Matrix, The TV Show, Will Premiere on SundanceTV in August
SundanceTV is going ahead with the TV adaptation of the popular magazine feature The Approval Matrix in New York Magazine. Hosted by Neal Brennan, pop culture will be broken down according to a matrix approving or disapproving of its existence or happening.
While sketches and interviews suggest a more traditional talk show format, it’s going to have panelists such as Hannibal Buress, Julie Klausner, Judah Friedlander, Kurt Metzger, Rob Delaney, and more.
The Approval Matrix premieres Aug. 11th.
Kurt Metzger: White Precious to Premiere Next Week on Comedy Central
The very first hour stand-up special from Kurt Metzger will premiere next week on Fri. Jul. 11th at 11PM on Comedy Central.
Mark this down as you should not miss out. In fact, on July 7th, if you can’t wait, you’ll be able to buy the special from CC:Stand-Up Direct, uncensored and unedited.
